This was my second time visiting this restaurant. Ever since my first visit, I cannot stop thinking…read moreabout the great food and knew I had to stop by when I was back in town. The place is very busy so parking can be a bit hard to find but they do have an overflow lot. Inside, they have a seating area where you can wait until you're seated at a table. Both times I've been there the wait time was around 20-30 minutes but trust me, the food is worth the wait. Even though they were busy, our server was attentive and the food didn't take too long to come out. I went with a group and for our appetizer we tried the platter that comes with hummus, baba ganoush, grape leaves, and fresh pita bread. For my drink, I had the lemon mint smoothie...very refreshing. The plates that my husband and I got were the chicken shawarma sandwich with a salad and the filet plate that comes with rice as well as grilled tomato and grilled onion. They give you generous portions which made it possible for me to share some of my meal with someone in my group to try and I still had leftovers. Finally, we could not leave without having dessert. We had knafeh which is made fresh. Everything was amazing and I can't wait to come back next time I visit the Chicagoland area.

They do have a drive thru too which is nice and what I did. Don't expect them to be fast tho, it's not actually a fast food spot. I thought the meal was good! My only complaint was that it wasn't as crispy as I wanted, i think both the fried chicken and the wrap being meh in terms of that crispy bite you'd expect. As you can see it is toasted but it was still more chewy than crispy. Otherwise the flavors are decent and for like a $15 meal, it's ok. The portion is good and it does the job.

Just the bowl of lamb broth pre-meal is worth an hour of wait. I DREAM OF THAT BROTH, it was that good. I wanted to seek out the chef, and kiss his/her hands, but I don't have bail money, so I didn't. Their grilled fish was also to die for; booked through perfectly, and juicy, with a bunch of beautifully caramelized seasoning giving it a scrumptious yet delicate flavor. Baba Ghanoush can be had as a main, versus a side, the portion is aplenty, and the flavor is top notch; I prefer my ghanoush more chunky, but this is creamy and satisfying too! Overall, thoroughly satisfied, this is the kind of meal that will have you hating yourself for not getting here sooner! Go try it now..... it's not just about Yemeni Coffee, the food is amazing too!

I wanted some beef ribs so she told me that they only accept orders of beef ribs by the pound beef ribs by the pound are $49.99 per pound. And I asked for a half a pound of beef brisket.. my order came with a Turkish salad, a cucumber and tomato salad, cole slaw, a large container of basmati rice, some cherry tomato and roasted garlic. It also came with various sauces. Hassan gave me a sample of the brisket with their own house seasoning. The brisket wasn't the traditional whole cut barbecue way. It was kind of shredded, but it was delicious! Very juicy melted in my mouth! The Beef Ribs were sooo juicy and flavorful! The roasted potatoes were cooked well and tossed in honey. The Cole slaw was very delicious, the cucumber and tomato salad was very refreshing...it did need some salt. The basmati rice had a yellow hue I believe because of some saffron that was added. It wasn't the star but was a good side to go with everything! I also ordered a mocktail called Pearl Petal... hints of lychee rose and peach I believe it was really good! I enjoyed this place and it was recommended to come dine in so next time I will!!!

The booth seating is comfy and spacious. We ordered a combo haneeth (rice with chicken and lamb), a mutabaq sandwich with beef, and lamb soup. The chicken and lamb with the haneeth dish were excellent; tender and flavorful. The rice was good, too, but I wish there was some sort of sauce that came with it. The mutabaq sandwich was super flavorful, but I don't think it was an authentic dish, as it was made with tortilla bread and had melted cheese inside; authentic mutabaq is like a pancake breading stuffed with meat. The lamb soup was really flavorful and soothing. Service was okay. Pricing was fair.

To be clear, the parking area is kind of tight and cramped. If you can't find parking here, you can try seeing if parking is available in the neighborhood or next door. Inside Al Manakeesh, they have a plentiful amount of tables. You order at the front, receive a pager, and wait for your food. They have additional drinks in the back. They are known for making Middle Eastern flatbread pizzas and kaaks (bagel). Customer service was great. They were very efficient at making the food and drinks. Everyone was nice. No one was pushy when we ordered our items. Prices were good, they were inexpensive. We ordered egg/meat/cheese, pepperoni, mixed meat bagel, sfeha with tahaina, and zaatar/akkawi cheese/cherry tomato. Honestly, everything was a 5/5. I liked that the pizzas weren't floppy and none of the ingredients slid off. The portions were huge. I also got a peach matcha. After mixing it, the peach taste was very noticeable: -The pepperoni tastes cleaner and more flavorful than the American places. For some reason, the American ones are so greasy and oily. -For the egg/meat/cheese pizza, the egg taste really stands out. -Sfeha is halal ground beef and has more flavor than regular ground beef. The tahaina helps make it pop. -The zaatar/akkawi/cherry tomato is an awesome combination. When you take that first bite, you'll immediately taste all of the ingredients. It's that prominent. -The mixed meat kaak has halal turkey, halal roast beef, halal salami, mozzarella, Mexican cheese, and their signature sauce. They give you two cups of sauces. One I think is the signature sauce and the red one is a little spicy. The portion is big enough to share between 3-4 people.

Disappointing Experience on 10/25/26 @12:16 afternoon!…read more Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The food preparation time was inaccurate on Uber Eats, and when the order was marked as ready, it was not actually ready. I ended up waiting an additional 25 minutes or more, which was frustrating and inconvenient. On top of the long wait, some ingredients were missing from one of my orders, and some of the food was already cold when I received it. This was not the quality of service I expected, especially when ordering food that should be prepared correctly and served fresh. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but accurate preparation times, complete orders, and food served at the proper temperature are basic expectations. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to provide customers with a better experience. This is the second time that this happens where notes are not being read and ingredients are being forgotten they need to read notes and follow customers wishes and request! Unfortunately, that was fulfilled today food order was cold! And there was no arugula on my bagel since I did pay extra for ingredients, bagel was cold! I mean for an order of $67 dollars you would think the food quality would be good!
