Went today to Kabob Korber in Katy for birthday dinner. We ordered biryani, gyro sandwich, nihari and 2 mango lassi. after waiting for 40 minutes, a waitress came apologizing for food delay because the kitchen was busy making TO GO orders and it ended up delaying DINE IN orders. she said food is coming out in 10 - 15 minutes. 5 minutes later another waiter came and said, "Sorry we are out of biryani" 45 minutes later they realized they didn't have biryani. Mango lassi was sour and had no mango flavor, we left both lassi as is. Food came out after 1 hour 5 minutes( my daughters took a power nap of 1 hr) once food was served I asked one of the waitress to bring us some onions, she said sure and vanished into thin air. We finished food and poor onions never made it to our table . Almost every table tonight was served late, people were upset and complained. one table cacelled the ordered and left. one family added more food, finished their meal and then asked the manager not to worry about additional item as they were done eating and waited too long. No one ever came to our table to check on while we ate. we waited good 10 mins and had to flag down a waiter to give us the bill. After I complained about delayed service, sour lassi and no onions He took 15% off and said, " Hope this make up for the bad service you had today". Nihari and gyro sandwich were flavorful but worst customer service and zero management skills. 2 families came and sat on tables for 10 mins, waited for someone to take order, not a single waiter or manager acknowledge the 2 families untill the people went to the front counter and requested for someone to take their order. Well you want to quick bite and so so service this is the place to be. They always pissed me off but I guess I am looking for more punishment. Located off the busy road on Fry road. There are plenty of parking. The store itself is very large. Every time I go there they have plenty of spaces to sit, so that is not an issue. But every time I had to be seated or to get my orders to go, always long wait. The beef kabob was a bit tuff, but the spice made up for it, but the salad dressing was very blend and tasteless. So it is like eating the lettuce plain. Their bread was the best part for a dollar more make sure you order that.
