I have been patronizing the Kabob Korner in Katy, Texas off of Mason Road for years. I always ask for two of their spicy sauces on the side for my to go order. I was told today that we are allowed to have only one sauce with our order. I asked when this new rule started and the gentleman could not tell me. I would have actually paid for extra sauce had I known (if this is the case), but I wasn't even given the option. The gentleman was very rude and snappy. I will NEVER eat or order from this establishment again. Their repeat customer appreciation is awful! read more

Clean and delicious. I can't think of any other words that describe this place. Seems like a small family owned business. The interior design is beautiful because it is simple. Few boths, few tables and chairs, and some small wall art and few elephants and camels deck the place. I love that they are courteous enough to have shades over their large windows and actually use the shades when the sun is burning. The employees are very polite and helpful when deciding on an item/or asking questions about the menu. The restroom is very clean and well kept. Prices are ok. Wish they played some of their traditional music but it's no biggie. Definitely recommend. read more

The food is good. Portions are large. BUT;;;;; Check ur receipt. I went there today paid $40 for two platers and naan. I didn't think anything at the time because my baby was in my arms. Once I drove away I decided to check my receipt and they charged me for 3 strawberry juices $8.79. Which I did not order. It could have been an accident but feels shady. They make u go to the register, place your order then a waiter brings your food and you pay after you eat. Makes no sense to me. read more

I have been to this restaurant 10 or 11 times and have never been disappointed. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and have enjoyed them all. The terrific naan bread goes well with everything. They have gone back and forth from counter service to table service a few times but either way the staff are friendly and attentive. My only regret is that I have yet to sample any of the desserts. I also had one of their platter... a lot of meat for a decent price, but it only had one lamb chop that looked as if half of it was left stuck to the grill and too much tandoori meat for my liking . For Katy food, it's actually quite good. For people from Houston, it might be a slight step down. Yes, that sounds like a snobbish foodie thing to say, but you'll find better spots (ie - Phoenicia Deli, Pita Bites, etc). Nonetheless, this place is pretty cool. Overpriced food? Nope! Prices were very fair and the quantity was good too. I recommend going the spicy route, and your better bet is to stick with some of the wraps and sandwiches. I liked the chicken shawarma and or a behari. There's a wide selection to go from... including a hamburger........ fries are also available, but they're just okay. So, overall, it's passable. Kabob Korner is basically next to the Alamo Drafthouse so go see a movie afterwards. Worth checking out just to try it. The food is good, or good enough if you have foodie standards, mainly because there is such a wide variety. However, I'd still recommend going the sandwich / gyro route (cheap, good portion, quick service). Service is friendly and the atmosphere is very family friendly. Parking is very easy. read more

Ordered the mutton karahi, tandoori chicken, beef boti, hummus, extra naan, and mango lassi. Mutton: excellent with rice. Definitely recommend. Tandoori chicken: way too dry for my taste. Beef: it was fine. Next time I'll order a less spicy version. Hummus: tasted like nothing. Won't be ordering that again! Naan: a little doughy, but that wasn't a big deal. Mango lassi: delicious! Might come back just for that. Overall, I think they nickel & dime you way too much. Curry doesn't come with rice; hummus doesn't come with ANY pita or naan; etc. I'm surprised they didn't charge me for a straw for my drink. I can easily find another place that's better and a little cheaper. But Kabob Korner does offer different kinds of ethnic food all in one place, which I like a lot. I would probably only come back for the mango lassi and mutton karahi. Not a bad place, but I think I can save a little money going elsewhere for the same quality and flavor of food. Tonight was the first time my wife and I visited this location. The service here was excellent and I will definitely be returning again. I accidentally ordered to go and once we started unpackaging our food to eat in the restaurant, the manager had our food displayed beautifully. Had a great kebab at kebob corner. We tried the one on i10 at memorial city and weren't impressed. We decided to give this location a try after visiting monkey joes which is a child's indoor soft play area. Very impressed! Meat was tender and deliscios, rice was lovely, nan was warm and probably the best I've had in Houston. The humans was tasty and not too overpowering. The we got the shwarma plater and the combination plater with naam. Both were good, but I had to take a star away because I had some gristle in my beef shawarma. This restaurant is actually pretty good. The atmosphere is nice & the service is great. I've only been here three times, but I've always enjoyed their food. My husband and I had lunch here a few weeks back while house sitting for my parents. We've decided to branch out while in the area. We went in the afternoon on a weekend day. There was a pretty good amount of people there when we got there, but we were able to get in and seated immediately. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. This was our first time, and our experience with Mediterranean food is limited so he patiently answered our questions and help e d us make decisions. We started with hummus and naan, which was very good. The naan was freshly cooked and so, so good. I got the chicken shawarma plate as my meal. Delicious! The chicken was spiced perfectly. So good. My meal came with rice and more hummus as well as tahini sauce and garlic butter sauce. My husband got a chicken dish that he really liked but was too spicy for me. I don't remember what it was called but it was a vivid red. Very pretty, and very good according to him. We actually are really looking forward to going back to try more. I did not have all that great an experience this evening. I got the beef shish kabob roll and a mixed grill with yellow rice. The roll ended up being a different kind of meat. That spicy kind of meat paste. It was ok I suppose but it wasn't what I ordered. The beef kabob on the mixed grill was over cooked and not tender. The yellow rice has no flavor at all which was a huge dissapointment since its one of my favorite things. I think next time I will try on of the other Mediterranean places near by. read more

Staff was super nice and accommodating. Food was really great. I ordered the chicken boti roll. My hubby ordered the mixed grill. Kabob Korner seriously was a good idea. The moment I saw the sign out out, it was my first thought was, 'I really have to try this place out!'. It was an outing with my mom who loves to eat Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. So perfect place! Upon arriving, it confused me as it was a sit down and wait service. I assumed it was going to be a order and they bring to you similar to a Luby's concept. Anyways, you wait to be seated in this small really small and tight dining space. Lack of a dining space and this type of service more so. We were seated in the back near the waitstaff station (I.e. Drinks/checkout register) we could hear their conversations not okay with that. It was our first time here and the waitress felt like she was rushing us as soon as we seated. Very rude, and short with us. We had no idea what to expect of the food. We looked at other people's dishes on their tables to get a general idea. Which gave us one after our food was ordered. Menu is complex and not clear on details. Food was delicious. Price of food is way over priced for this place. Another establishment has better service and price, tasty food which would out beat just the food quality of me coming back here. 2 less qualities in a restaurant. I wish our server was much nicer and not so short with us because it made me feel uncomfortable to ask her something as if she would snap. I am all about customer service and quality of food. Two pluses in my book for a great review. Love their shawarmas and mango lassis! My favorite out of any other place that sells shawarma. I like it cause it's not bland and dry, it has a mild spice taste that makes it soo good. Sad, because this place was good until I witnessed one of the cooks heat up a kabob skewer in the fire and then singe a roach that was crawling up the vents with that same skewer. That was pretty nasty. I have an exterminator come to my house every couple of months and the only roaches I find are dead. And, I certainly wouldn't use a fork to kill it with... The food was AMAZING!! Some of the stuff on the menu can be kind of pricey (depending on your budget) but let me tell you that it is definitely worth it!! The ONLY negative thing that I have to say about this establishment is that the waiting staff did a poor job. We understood that it is Ramadan and that it was busy, however it took an hour from the time we sat down until our food arrived. Not only that, but we sat at our table for at least 15 minutes before my boyfriend had to get up and ask a server to bring us drinks and take our orders. We saw people that got there after us and had their food out while we were still trying to get the attention of a waiter. Other than that, however, everything was great. Very, very delicious. Service is A+. Ambience and cleanliness of the place is also very good although I didn't use the restroom so don't know about that. It's family friendly and the menu items are plenty as well as you can find some really healthy options. I had the beef burger which is quite filling but the taste was great and so worth it. Came in on a Wednesday afternoon after lunch so not as busy. Only thing is it might feel like you have to wait a while but after being served we found it was worth it. Convenient location, good music, and I'm still impressed with how clean it is. I hope they can maintain these standards. The food is fresh and no grease.
