We were on vacation, a mini escape from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, staying at the lovely Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. This fine dining overlooks the infinite pool deck. Even on a busy night, with no reservations, we were promptly seated at a table with the absolute BEST ocean view! There's something so peaceful about the tradewinds blowing gently, hearing the ocean in the distance, and enjoying dinner under the sparkling stars. Love, love, love it! Our server was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We both ordered our own scallop dish with gnocchi. He suggested a crisp white wine which paired excellently with our dinner. As you can see from the picture, our scallops were large and luscious. Cooked to perfection, this had marvelous taste and texture. If you don't eat pork, you can ask for the roasted pork bits on the side. Gnocchi was tender and great with the delicious sauce. So good, would certainly come back to order that! For dessert, we shared the chocolate torte. This was silky smooth and creamy. All together, this lovely dining experience made for some pretty sweet dreams that night LOL Thank you everyone at Ka'ana for a lovely dinner. We still tell everyone about the amazing food and service here! Totally coming back :)

We had the daily breakfast buffet, as well as the dinner offered! Ka'ana Kitchen, for both breakfast and dinner, exceeded expectations! A huge, heartfelt shoutout to our breakfast servers Lehua and Elijah, and our dinner server, John. The service at Ka'ana is so thoughtfully curated, the food was incredible, the ambience was romantic and picturesque, and the experience, every single day, was so special. We were celebrating our engagement and this was such a wonderful place to do so for both breakfast and dinner.

After a LONG day of traveling we didn't want to leave the hotel for dinner after checking in. We quickly made reservations here for dinner - Saturday. No problem and I honestly feel like you don't need reservations. We were seated by the balcony and the feel was very good. The view was amazing and the weather that evening was perfect. Ahi Caesar Salad (brioche furikake croutons + roasted garlic + pickled mustard seeds) - I wanted something lighter and healthier since we ate airport/airplane food all day. I think it's just a matter of perference but the taste was not what I expected. There was a big mustard/horse radish taste to the dressing and the croutons were made out of rye bread with made it sweet. I LOVE caesar salads and this was not one. My husband loved it though. Grilled cheese and fries - They had a kids menu which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, this took a while to come out even after both my husbands and my dish came out. It was weird sitting there with our food when our kiddo didn't have theirs. Grilled cheese was ehh but the fries were really good and well seasoned. My husband got a fish dish. He enjoyed it. Service was okay but we loved the hostess. She was so sweet to my daughter. She got her a little flower. It was such a nice touch. A great welcome to our first night in Maui.

Service was great! Food was good. The watermelon salad and wagyu were delicious! The sweetness of the watermelon combined with feta, arugula and candied walnuts added a lot of flavor. The wagyu was prepared perfectly medium rare. The scallops were a bit salty, and the tuna tataki was just ok. There was no flavor from the jelly that was served with it and could not taste the any lilikoi.

We had an absolutely perfect night dining at Ka'ana's Chef's Table! It's a sampling of the restaurant menu, and they do a unique deal where each of us had a different dish for all but two courses, so we got to try so much! Awesome! Service was great, all around. Complementary valet parking was excellent. Chanel (like the perfume and the handbags) was such a delight at the hostess stand, as well as on the phone before our dinner. Wine Director and sommelier, Tia, was our server and she is stellar! She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine and we loved chatting through our experience. Honestly, the entire team in the kitchen took great care of us! The food was all amazing, we loved every dish. Beautiful presentation, and creative, delicious plates. Outstanding wine list! Good cocktails. Chef's Table or just regular dining, don't miss this place!

By far the best food in the area. We ate at all the Four Seasons restaurants and this place rocked as far as food taste and creativity. I search high and low to find a chef who creates dishes that are out of the box and full of flavor - this place did it, great job chef. It starts off with my alcohol free drink - the wireless super yummy. We had the Wagyu skirt steak app and the water melon salad. Both were awesome. The watermelon blew my mind, not a fan of watermelon but this had some really interesting flavors (ling hing mui - not sure but it was good). We then moved onto the Butter Red Crab and Seared Scallops. Both were absolutely delicious. The ambiance was awesome with an amazing sunset view. We listen to music from lounge down below. Service was really good - got slow at check out but view was amazing and it made it less painful. Definitely going back to this place next time we are here. Great job chefs!

    Buttered crab excellent

Amazing experience last night The ambiance is nothing great but, the food!! The buttered crab was excellent. The poached egg on top brought it to another level. The other standout was the lamb ragu pappardelle. The chef's sauce was light & perfect. Not the usual heavy red sauce as usually prepared. Very well thought out preparation. It's so tiring to see the usual brussel sprouts, macadamia crusted mahi & fried calamari on menu's. This menu actually had some creativity. Compliments to the chef.

This restaurant located in Andez hotel, maui. This is our 2nd time having breakfast buffet. We came 2 years ago when we stayed at Andez. No need to reserve, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. I think we got the same server last time. Food + drink: Fresh green juice, coconut water, pinapple ,orange juice. Coffee - order with your server. You can also ask for milk substitution like almond or oat milk. They also have a la carte menu. Assortment of pastry + bread Pancake, mochi waffle, Malassada Fried noddle Omelette - you order with your server Bacon, sausage, scramble eggs and portugese sausage Fruits, deli meat and cheese station Grilled veggies and salad Overall good. It's just our server need help to bus our table or even with getting ketchup, coffee and creamer. Restroom: just right outside by the restaurant Breakfast buffet $49. 6am-11am Be careful, lots of small birds try to nibble from your plate if you seat at outdoor area.

Four stars for the food, two stars for the service. It took us over 10 min for our server to come acknowledge us once we'd been shown to our table. Which wouldn't be a big deal at a buffet but since you have to put in your egg orders with your server, it was annoying. They had a great variety of traditional breakfast foods and Hawaiian fare. I especially loved the mochi waffles!!! YUM. I'd come back, but maybe before they get too busy and spread too thin.

    Bloody Mary, breakfast buffet

Came for the breakfast buffet and omg.... One of the best I've been to! Huge selection of Portuguese sausage, mango chicken sausage, crispy bacon, pork belly, eggs, omelets, pork Bao buns, pastries, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, chia pudding, fresh fruit and vegetable juices.... And plenty more that I'm not remembering! The service here was also soo wonderful. The breakfast buffet is $50 per person, not including specialty drinks like matcha, lattes or cocktails of course but they are also available. We got bloody Mary's and loved them! Would definitely come back :)

Food was really good, very pricey though... I think it was worth the price . The tuna was so fresh and delicious. The fresh catch was delicious but maybe not as interesting as the other dishes. The desert was my favorite - we got two different deserts and both were incredible. 10/10 would come again

Overlooked Wagyu, including one end piece cooked to a crisp.

Crab was so bad it might have been imitation. Wagyu was overcooked, which I did not even know was possible. Server was not interested in whether we enjoyed the meal. Definitely will not be back.

    Welcome sign when you arrive!

Until we came to Oao, our favorite had been Nobu, down the road in Wailea. Well, I am here to tell you that, hands-down, there is a new gold medalist in town! The quality, presentation and taste--every single course--knocked it out of the ballpark! And, much to our surprise, the last Main course of Wagyu beef was a veritable grand slam! We came for the Sushi, but never in my life have i tasted such heavenly steak! The exceptionally aloha-friendly staff, such as Ronson and Iggy, were above and beyond helpful. Add to my snobbery my pallet for a good sake. Well, Iggy was able to steer me to an exceptionally perfect Daiginzo brew to complement our Omakase feast of the evening. Be sure to include an order of mussels, and you can't go wrong with anything Hamachi, such as the carpaccio. The atmosphere is somewhat traditional sushi bar, with an aloha flair. It is not very spacious, and will fill up in both guests and noise. Tune those out and you'll be fine. By the way, be sure to make reservations! A Word of warning, this is a sushi bar in the heart of Maui, and is it priced accordingly. That said, it is well, well worth the splurge!

Service was spot on as our server, Matthew, kept a watchful eye on our table and needs, yet did not approach or interrupt us continually unless a plate was to be cleared off or to top off our drinks. We enjoyed their Paniolo Smash Burger, the Lobster Toast, along with an order of the delicious Mediterranean Meatballs. The Paniolo Smash Burger has two char-grilled patties of local beef topped with caramelized Maui onions, bacon and a slice of American cheese (we ordered their "burger sauce" on-the-side). The char flavor help define that "extra taste" on the burger -- Fries or Loaded Fries are available for an add-on. The Lobster Toast was served on focaccia lightly toasted bread, which was topped with a decent amount of lobster meat mixed with a milky -almost too much so- shaved fennel and whipped avocado salad. The portion was decent as an appetizer or for a light-eater's meal. The Mediterranean Meatballs was another delicious appetizer-size portion of three savory meatballs consisting of local pork & beef with a few spices. The underlying sauce of lemon yogurt with a hint of mint harissa made the dish sing. Delicious. Aurum Maui is a relatively newish eatery (July 2025) at the Shops of Wailea, and we hope they continue to thrive. As the restaurant got busier, the noise level rose considerably. The decor & layout are quite pleasant, but management should look for way to lower the noise level by adding some softscaping - but we enjoyed our dining experience here.

It was my first visit to Aurum and I like to try a difficult dish the first time I dine somewhere new. I spotted the Simple Root Chicken ($45) and asked the server about it. He said it is cooked sous vide style (to keep it moist) and then broiled to golden brown. He said it a leg and a thigh and very popular, so I tried it. It was a breast, not a leg/thigh, and while it looked great, it was dry and virtually unseasoned. I told the server and almost had a Lineage Chicken delivered to the kitchen so the chef could see what a proper Chicken dinner tasted like!

For our 30th anniversary, my wife and I shared the smoked tomahawk steak family-style, along with black garlic roasted rice, pickled carrots and onions, and a roasted vegetable medley with a beautiful spice mix. Every bite was outstanding -- perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and clearly crafted with intention. We finished with the lilikoi meringue pie, which was just as impressive and a perfect way to end the meal. Maui has some incredible dining experiences, and Kitoko stands comfortably among the very best -- food truck or not. If you're looking for a truly memorable dinner on the island, don't miss this one.
