Great venue we treated my 18 yo son and his 4 friends to. Been to a few locations but this one is different with its track. Great for teens and adults but they do have a league for kids here; league for adults too, I heard. They have their parking lot on Landmark. Pricing is reasonable and you get 12 laps. We didn't try the food but they have concession-style type food and snacks. Some beer and drinks too. They can host large parties in different areas of the venue. I was planning on taking my sons (14 & 10) to race this Saturday only to find out they don't offer Jr. races on weekends!!! When I called and spoke to a representative I asked why they wouldn't offer kids races on the weekends and that what kids are expected to go during the weekdays while they're in school and the parents are working? It's a go kart establishment! I get it adults get a thrill out of it too but come on who doesn't offer go-kart races for kids on the weekends??? What kind of business model is this? I had horrible experience this black guy with short Afro , kept bullying me saying if I'm driving slow I need to be on the edge and I did exactly that . to let other karts pass by . Loved K1 speed CC. I organized a party of 10 people for my birthday. It was roughly $90 a person, came with a private room, food, $10 arcade card for each person and a drink ticket. I don't remember how many laps we did but we had two separate rounds, due to the cars needing to charge and more groups had a chance to race. We had one person drop out the night before due to a car accident, and the manger Eric told us he couldn't refund the one person fee but I asked to have the fee transferred to a game card and he complied. We had a blast, staff were very friendly. I can't remember the clerks name, but she helped me get set up while my group was arriving. I want to say Aisha, but I could be wrong. Our food was available after our last round, though it took a little over 20 mins, it was freaking delicious! We got the brisket grilled cheese combo that came with two different wing flavors, we picked hot honey and lemon pepper, and Baby that lemon pepper was ! There is only one track so I do recommend reserving time. The more people the better. I think the max was 20 per group, or something like that. It's definitely a location where everyone wants to try so plan ahead of time. Call and make a reservation if you can. We had a party of 14 and with a week notice we booked our event. I had a great experience with making the reservation and planning ahead. I did not have to wait long to race and upon entry our team was hosted great. We had an amazing first-time experience at K1 Speed! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. One team member Emiliano took the time to explain everything in detail, walked us through all of our options, and answered every question we had. Even when we were still undecided, his patience was truly extraordinary and never once made us feel rushed. Jesus, who was in charge of the karts, went above and beyond by helping us capture a special photo. We absolutely didn't expect that and we know it's not part of his job but it meant so much to us. We had family visiting from Australia, and since it was their very first time, that picture is now a really special and memorable moment for all of us. Great event space. First off, there is free parking and fairly ample amount of it! Hardly anywhere in this densely packed area can you get free parking. Inside the lobby area are lots of racing memorabilia including a Ferrari and McLaren indy car and various racing suits from professional drivers. There are plenty of games to play while you wait to go race. There is a lounge upstairs to watch the race from and has separate rooms for parties and private events. The track and karts are the best of all K1 speeds I have been to. The track grip has what appears to be a roofing coating over the track that has a bit of nap to keep the texture up to give the karts more grip. Construction of the track seams well thought out and the ramps don't move at all when racers are climbing or making their decent. The karts are the new super legeros, which are the best K1 offers for their indoor tracks. They are kept up nicely and the head mechanic must be doing a great job because the is very little notice of which kart is better then the next. My experience with the staff has been great. Each person I've delt with has been very cordial and helpful. Justin who seams to be running things always has helpful and encouraging hints around the track and what the best offers are currently going on at this location. Alissa is also very helpful and willing to spend the time answering questions instead of rushing each person along. At times there is a long wait but if you go to the best restaurant in town, of course you will have to wait. What I may suggest is; if there is more then a 2 hour wait, have an automated call, call or text you 20-30 min before your 1st race so your time isn't wasted. Overall, I love the venue and will definitely come back. read more

Absolutely Horrible Experience for My Son's Birthday If I could give zero stars, I would. We checked in ONLINE ahead of time, thinking that would streamline the process. Instead, we were told when we arrived that junior races had a 2.5-hour wait. Annoying, but it was a Friday, so we understood and came back exactly when they told us to. When we returned? Suddenly it was another two-hour wait. For what? A single kid racing completely alone on the track. And the worst part? The front desk staff acted like this was totally normal. No apology. No explanation. No attempt to make the situation right. No empathy whatsoever. Just a dismissive "it is what it is," as if wasting half a day on my son's 12th birthday was no big deal. The customer service here is honestly unacceptable. If you're going to run a business that requires reservations, time slots, or ANY kind of organization -- maybe actually honor them? Or at least communicate like you care. The attitude from the employees made it painfully clear that customer experience is not a priority here. We left frustrated, disappointed, and completely blown away by how poorly everything was handled. If this is how K1 chooses to operate, especially on a kid's birthday, then we'll gladly take our business -- and recommendations -- elsewhere. Do better. read more

This place is awful. We went there on a Friday morning and waited for 30 minutes outside before it opened. Once we got in and to the front desk it was a 2 hour wait before my son was able to race. While we were waiting we noticed a few things... 1) We saw a young kid injure his right shoulder within 10 minutes of us being there. The race had to stop and he had to leave the track. (First time seeing this at any go kart place anywhere) 2) So many issues in the kids races with karts not making it up the ramp and rolling back down. This caused tons of delays and made the youth races take forever. 3) We saw serious adult racers with full gear racing in back to back to back races. Once my son was finally able to get into his race, it was a mess. He only was able to do 2 full laps (out of 10) without stopping because of crashes and many kids rolling down the ramp after failing to make it all the way up. Avoid at all costs. read more

I was excited when K1 finally opened in Culver City as my son is very into go-karts and racing. Unfortunately, when we arrived right around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, not only we were informed that the next available race would be at 8:30 p.m. but, even worse, they don't even offer Junior races on weekends! The attendant "helpfully" pointed out that the lack of junior races on weekends is posted on the website. After bringing my disappointed child home, I checked the website and, yes, it IS posted, but not very prominently. So if you aren't specifically looking for it, you're unlikely to see it (for some dumb reason, it's written in smaller text than everything else on the page). You would think something important like that would be posted in BIG BOLD letters to avoid the disappointment my son and I had to experience when we learned he wouldn't get to race. UPDATE: So customer service is clearly not their priority. I tried calling to confirm they were running Junior races, and then to see how long the wait would be. The local number ended up going to the corporate info line. While the helpful CSR confirmed they were running Junior races at this location and then she attempted to find out the wait time by calling the location from her end, they didn't pick up. She then gave me the extension to dial to reach the location, but when I called back several times, no one picked up. We ended up going anyway and learned it would be almost two hours wait time until the next race. I've heard of worse wait times so that's not a big deal. But had I known that (because they answered the phone), I could have gone by myself to register everyone, then brought the family back later so we didn't all have to waste time there. That being said, my son had a blast and wants to go back. But they seriously need to work on their customer service and implement an online registration/reservation system to allow people to add themselves to the queue, or at a minimum get an estimate as to how far out the next races will be without having to go to the location first. Perhaps this is intentional, so people stick around and spend money on games, food and drinks while they wait. Within reason, I'm okay with that. But when the next available races aren't happening for another 2+ hours, forcing people to show up just to find that out is just poor customer service. read more

Very cool track but the operation is just terrible and ruined it. Took my son at 4 pm to do a race for his 13th birthday. We got there, they very quickly rang me up and took a bunch of my money, and then said it would be a 3 hour wait. Surprising, but OK. They tell us to come back at 7:15 pm. We get there at 7:15, they say they're behind and it'll be another 30 minutes. I say ok, we wait 30 minutes. I check in again, they say it's going to be another 45 minutes to an hour. My nine year old is there too, I can't have them out racing until all hours of the night, so they suggest coming back the next day. I ask what time they open, they say 10 am. The next day, I arrive at 9:58 am, park and go in, and there's already a long line inside. I get in line and it take 20 minutes just to talk to someone. I put my son's names in, and the staff says it's going to be 2 hours until they can race. I explain that I already waited 5 hours the previous day and never got to race, and they say there's nothing they can do. We leave and come back in 2 hours, and we still have to wait another 45 minutes until they can race. The race was fun, but man what a hassle. Not worth it. I do not recommend unless you're willing to spend hours and hours borted, waiting for a 12 min race. It's especially bad because they don't have any sort of a restaurant yet (there's a sign up that they are applying for an alcohol permit so I presume a restaurant is coming eventually), and the arcade games are limited, expensive, and middling. There a like 4 different claw games that are all very scammy (cord is wrapped around the claw and in the way on one, others the claws are so weak they won't pick up the prizes even if you drop them perfectly). They have, I think, two racing games and one Jurassic Park game that are ho hum. My boys blew some money playing air hockey and then we stared at the wall for a while waiting, because there isn't even any good place to watch the races -- you can't see the upper level at all, and any place you can sit you can only see a small section of the track. All in all, 1 star. Expensive, disorganized, lack of services, not worth it at all. I felt bad for the kids having birthday parties there. So much sitting around with little to do. read more

Came here with my partner and we were pretty excited because they had gotten me a gift card as a Valentine's gift. When we arrived, there was a big party going on. We paid for two races each, and only ended up having time for one. The bads: - Super long wait time for food. Over an hour. We got conflicting information. Apparently our order had been lost, didn't get put in even though we paid, and that the kitchen was backed up. - By the time we did get our food, our names were being called for the races. So we decided to wait. By the time we got down to the paddock, we were told there was only one more race before they closed. - There was some miscommunication at the paddock that initially came across as an extremely rude attitude from an employee which upset my partner. - With all this, we felt like leaving. The goods: - The employee came over shortly after and apologised that they came off the wrong way and that wasn't their intent. - They offered to let us do one more race after the first one even though they were technically closed, but we were pretty tired so declined. - The manager gave us a couple extra races for next time. - Driving the carts is super fun. It's hard to be mad after zipping around the track. Overall, I think the manager and employee gave me a good post-impression by trying to fix things. Seems like there's some disorganisation/communication issues going on which holds this place back from being a four or five star experience. read more

I came in today with my family and some friends to celebrate my birthday and check out the new track. I haven't been to a K1 in a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect with the wait times. When we arrived, it was definitely busier than I anticipated, but I should've known since it was Saturday. At first, I honestly felt like the long wait might make the trip a waste, but luckily Kara was there to help. Kara was incredibly patient and walked me through my options so I could figure out how to make everything work for my group. Thanks to Kara, we got my family and friends checked in made some plans till our check in time. The wait times actually ended up giving us a chance to grab lunch and spend some quality time together, which made the day even better. Stopped by the brand new K1 Speed in Culver City because I was thinking about renting the place out for a 400 person event. I wasn't even trying to race literally just wanted to take a quick look and get a feel for the space. Instead, I got greeted by an employee named Eric, who somehow managed to make the grand opening energy feel like a DMV line. Every time I asked a question, all he said super blunt and honestly pretty rude was, "It's reserved for a private event." No "sorry, we can't show you around right now," no, "let me tell you what we offer," nothing. Just the same line on loop. Kinda wild, because if he had just taken 15 seconds to be helpful or even remotely friendly, this location could've been the host for a massive event. I am writing to formally escalate what was, without exaggeration, one of the most disorganized and poorly executed birthday party experiences I have ever encountered. This took place at your Culver City location for my son's birthday on Friday February 20, 2026. We paid for a hosted, organized event. What we received was absolute chaos. There was no leadership or coordination, and no staff member seemed to know what was happening (except Kara, who was so kind, but was not given the tools to help).) Nothing was timed properly. We spent almost 3 hours chasing employees for basic information. No one managed the schedule. No one took ownership. No guided the kids. No one managed to check in. No one managed the food and beverage. The party felt like an inconvenience rather than a scheduled, paid event. We were literally asked if we knew where the birthday room was, and then left to manage everything ourselves. Basic operational details were shockingly absent: No birthday cake knife. No tongs were available to serve the food. No drink pitchers. No organized food service. No structured transitions between activities. No host. The go-kart crew performed minimal safety checks. Blending of the general public with the birthday party Severely understaffed. No parking The food was unacceptably bad -- especially considering the premium pricing attached to these party packages. When families are paying a premium, there should be a corresponding level of quality and execution. That was not delivered. Giving drink tickets to 10 year olds is a terrible idea and shows a lack of awareness. (We had to doordash drinks because no pitchers/cups are available). We and our guests had to move the food from upstairs, to downstairs and back upstairs again due to the party's fragmentation. Even more concerning was the lack of visible safety oversight for the younger children. This is a high-speed racing environment. Parents should not feel like they need to monitor operational safety because staff appear disengaged or unaware. That is unacceptable. We spent significant money to celebrate a milestone birthday, and instead of enjoying the experience, we (and out guests) were managing your staff and troubleshooting your operation. This is not a minor complaint. This is a systemic failure in execution, training, and leadership. The worst part about this is that ALL employees complained about the same things. They mentioned hearing similar complaints from other parents, stating that "corporate doesn't listen" or that "corporate does not give us the tools we need."Ralph, this is a direct reflection of your leadership (or lackthere of). Im only giving 1 star because I can't go any lower! One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Friday (11/21)was my husband's birthday and we wanted to celebrate at the new K1 Speed in Culver City. We got there at 4pm and the guy, I should have gotten his name (the beautiful natural curly hair'd black lady would would know who he is), told me it would be 1.5 - 2 hour wait and our whole group would have to be here. I told him it was my husband's birthday and I hadn't been to a K1 Speed in like 10 years. He said, no problem, all you have to do is check in at the kiosk, come back up here to hold my line in place and once they arrive get back in line to pay. I checked in at the kiosk, gave him my information, he held my spot with seven drivers and I sat in front of the front desk in the gray huge chairs because the bar stools were horrible and hurt my butt. About 30-45 min after waiting I go back up to the desk and ask the same guy who checked me in if I could order food. He said no because they don't have a full kitchen and I can only order what I see which was chips and soda. I asked would there be a kitchen later tonight, he said no. I went back to sit down in the same gray chairs which was like 8 feet, if that, from the front desk. 15 min later I see two girls in the back making pizza (like seriously). When everyone arrives, I get back in line and our teller ended up being the black lady. I give her my name and she says it's about a 2 - 2.5 hour wait. I said we just waited an hour and a half already and my spot was supposed to be held with 7 drivers. I told her the short white guys checked me in, I said, I didn't get his name but he was with that black guy right there. She finds him and he walks over to look at the computer and says, oh I see what the issue is, it's because your time has passed... I said, my time passed? He tried to lie and said yeah, I couldn't find you, I said un un, I was sitting right there the whole time, he said oh I mean I didn't see you. I said ok so what happens now, he said it would have to be the ~2 hour wait. I remind him that it was my husband's birthday. He said I could comp you a couple races but I can't change the time. I'm like really! He says I'm sorry real quick almost to like shut me up, I said sir we've already waited 1.5 hours. He said yeah this is on me, I can comp you a couple rides but it'll be a 2 hour wait, I said absolutely not, we can't wait another 2 hours on my husband's birthday. So he stood there looking blankly at me, and because my grandmother was there (oh yeah, my husbands grandmother was there sitting on them hard seats for over 1.5 hours), I held my composure and we left! My thing is, if you know you messed up, you should push someone else back and make it right or allowed just my husband to ride and the rest of us would have waited. ESPECIALLY being that it was my husbands birthday. We spent $150 on gift cards to buy food and whatever else we didn't want to put on our credit card because we knew y'all had merch. Like if you didn't want our money, you could have just said that! We will NEVER come back to this "new location" EVER! We will go to the Torrance location to get rid of these gift cards and after that, we're done! I work in customer service, as a matter of fact, I create the policy's and procedures in order for the agents to do their job. So if you need me to contract for your company, feel free to email me! I've already told my family members who are asking "how was the event for hubby's bday". I looked around and there were a few parties but nothing to indicate a 5 hour wait. They said "people check-in, live near by and go home, and then come back. Or there are parties". WTH!!!! Utter incompetence. I've never left a bad review before--even after genuinely bad experiences--but this place earned it. The entire Culver City operation, from staff to the scheduling system, is a mess. You're given a 1.5-hour window during which you might be called. I arrived earlier than instructed, waited over three hours, and only then discovered that their system had "booted" me without anyone noticing--so I was never called at all. What made this worse was the attitude. Snarky responses and being sent in circles by staff who clearly had no idea what was going on or how to fix it. It felt like no one here understands their own job--truly chickens with their heads cut off. After finally tracking down a manager (Tevin?), I was told I'd be put into the "next race." Turns out the next race wasn't actually the next race, which meant another 30 minutes of waiting. This place wastes your time, your money, and your patience. Was recommended to go to Culver city by another K1 employee in San Diego because of the multi-level track. I told her the date of my son's birthday being on Sunday, and she said that would work. I tried to call ahead just in case, but the number went to an automated system. Tried selecting the option to talk to a live person, it paused and then said no one was available. After driving 2+ hours, the female employee with blonde hair said that Culver city was unique, and they don't offer junior races on the weekend unless it was for a party. There was a party already there of boys my son's age. Did not see any note about no junior races on the weekend on the website. Drove to Carlsbad K1 afterwards. That employee wasn't aware of the Culver city no junior races either and said that's peculiar. If a business doesn't want a patrons business, perhaps it should be in a different business. read more

I waited in line behind a group of 4 for about 25 minutes, while the only person at the front desk was Sara. After she had been on the phone for about 20 minutes, I finally asked her if someone else would be able to help the growing line and she gave me a blank stare and simply said "I'm on the phone", then proceeded with her phone conversation. No smile, no sense of urgency, no customer service whatsoever. We did end up waiting around one and a half hours total before we could race on a Monday afternoon . Racing itself was fun ! My husband really enjoyed himself. I think he will definitely be back, but I would only recommend coming here if you have a lot of time to kill. The guys on the track who briefed us and got us up in the go carts were very kind and funny! Genuinely the worst k1 speed in socal You will get crashed into on the downhill ramp because they slow people down randomly and not at a specific check point/mark To clarify, they don't slow you down in the form of a speed limiter they slow you down with literal brake assistance, brakes will get set to a minimum threshold on top of adding a speed limiter Cars will have drastically different speeds on straights regardless of your line or how much you're in front of people They don't pay their staff enough, they all hate working there and if you're even remotely excited they'll figure out a way to kill it You'll crash, they won't flag anyone, your car will be randomized lap to lap in the same race, and your food will come cold. The reason: Employees informed us that all corporate events are being funneled to this location. They prioritize those and group reservations. So the ONLY way to race is GROUP RESERVATION. Came here for my sons birthday specifically for the glo Karting. Let's start from outside, parking is horrendous. The parking lot is packed with illegally parked cars in the fire lanes, handicap areas and also in the handicap accessible areas later found out the manager saying he parks there all time!!!! At the door we were met with a bunch of adults smoking and drinking right at the entrance!! Once inside we were told it was a 4 hour wait and the glo kart was after 8pm just to later find out it won't be available until next year!!! The restrooms are disgusting with nothing but the smell of urine and puddles all over the floor couldn't even tell when was the last time it was cleaned and mind you we were there for 4 hours. The arcade area had drink spills and trash on the floors. The staff wasn't paying attention to the races and there was no consequences for anyone breaking the rules. A driver was T-boned really hard due to some teens being reckless and they were allowed to continue. Do not come here!!! read more

Crazy wait times and a lot of stops in the races. But what really bothered me is that when I went in a while ago I tried talking to one of the staff members, I think their name was Kara, and they made me feel so insignificant. They seemed utterly disinterested and rolled their eyes as they left and I heard them call me an NPC (I don't know what this means and I hope it isn't bad) to another worker. No one is entitled to someone's attention but I'm an older lady and sometimes I can only get my socializing in through small talk when I visit places. Big shoutout to Eric for squeezing us in on a busy Friday night! It was our first time visiting so being able to actually race made our day.

If you like 3hr wait times, inconsistent toggling of speed, and staff that insults you.. this place is for you. This isn't my first rodeo and I was stoked to try out this new location instead of driving out to a competitor. After patiently waiting 3 hours to race, the last thing I expected was an unprovoked insult from one of the male staff ten seconds after sitting in the kart to put my seat belt on. Absolutely heinous you'd have staff belittle customers for zero reason at all, especially to a woman and especially with the cost it is to be there. I wish I could give ya'll the benefit of the doubt because this location just opened, but K1 is an established business. Maybe the 1 in K1 is for the stars that you deserve. Do better. I'll be checking out K1s other locations in the meantime or maybe I suggest everyone head on over to MB2 instead since their reviews are better. read more

Very fun track when people aren't slowing you down! There were young children that SHOULD have been down in a junior race that kept crashing and stopping the race. The workers didn't enforce blue flags, so out of 36 laps over 3 races I could only push on about a third. Pretty boring, workers should be retrained. read more
