Complimentary house-made pickles with our $10 lunches
    Tommy P.

K Style Kitchen is in no way fancy or pretentious. Good food and very nice service at reasonable prices in a small strip mall storefront. $10 lunch specials were cooked to order and served up with a couple of house-made pickle (radish and spinach) lagniappes. The "spicy" bulgogi was not especially piquant to my taste (non NM folks might disagree) but was quite deliciously flavored, with a subtle sweetness underlying the garlicky heat. Not an overwhelming amount of food on the plate, but it was enough, and we were happy to linger undisturbed talking after we finished (with our server occasionally and graciously checking on us to see whether we might want more water or whatever). I confess the first thing I noticed on entry was an almost overpowering stench of cruciferous vegetables - while we're all for house-fermented side dishes, management might want to consider giving some thought to ventilation so as to not drive off folks with keen senses of smell and occidental sensibilities regarding which smells are appetizing. If any of those sensitive folks are reading, it's worth toughing it out - K Style Kitchen will send you on your way quite happy.

A random find tonight. We got there in time as 2 couples, a party of 7 and then a party of 10 walked in. It's a small place. The two ladies working the front were very welcoming and friendly. They got really busy but still remained attentive as best as they could. We ordered the following: Kid's Chicken tenders & fries - chicken pieces were decently portioned. 7 yr old kid wished there was more fries. The fries were very good and crispy. We all liked it. Tteokbokki Was pretty good. Very very saucy and wish there was more meat and rice cake in it. We did request a side of rice to add onto and it was even better & filling. Soy Garlic wings was good. $16 for 10 wings and did the other half in Spicky 2k flavor. Wings were very crispy as we were hoping they would be. Only complaint is that there could've been more soy Garlic sauce as it was a bit dry as seen in the pictures. Spicy 2k wings was saucy, though, and it truly is spicy with a kick. Just beware. Jepchae - it didn't have enough bulgogi flavor with it and could use more meat in it. Still would recommend. Overall would return to this place. Glad to have found this place and looking forward to trying their other dishes. Spicy K2 & Soy Garlic chicken wings

Ordered the beef bibimbap and the chicken fried rice. The bibimbap was delicious comfort food, with well marinated beef and traditionally prepped veggies that you can douse in as much gochujang sauce as you'd like. The fried rice was okay, personally I would've liked a more savory version with drier rice. Seating is pretty limited, takeout on a weekend night was about a 30 minute wait. I would come back at a less busy time for sure to try more items on the menu!

wow, the Bibimbap rice bowl is fantastic! Flavorful and just the right amount of heat!

Yum! I ordered delivery, and it arrived quickly and arranged neatly. My tofu bibimbap was so flavorful and fresh, just perfect. The egg rolls were delicious, crunchy and just the right size. The Tteokbokki was perfectly spiced; I was craving gochujang. Looking forward to ordering from K Style Kitchen again!

I like that K Style is a no frills restaurant. However, I think I ordered the wrong thing..and, therefore, that was reflected in my rating. In the future, I hope to increase the number of stars in my review to reflect such positive, raving reviews that others had about this place. I ordered tteokbokki (Korean spicy rice cake). Honestly I think the dish was passable. I felt the dish was not only very spicy..but the rice noodles were just swimming/soaking in a pool of spicy sauce. I wished the dish had more flavors than just pure spicy sauce...and even a lil bit of vegetables..other than onions. But, oh well, if I stopped by next time I would probably try bibimbap, bugolgi or just something less adventurous! Otherwise, it's a pretty chill, casual place to grab a meal if you are in the area.

Cucumber kimchi, complimentary radish kimchi, and mandu

First let me point out that this place does not offer the free banchan (pickled snacks) some traditional Korean places offer... BUT they do sell multiple kimchi's, appetizers, etc. Also, I'll be honest, Albuquerque doesn't have much of a Korean food scene. That said, KStyle was DELICIOUS, plates were pretty, and service was friendly and great. And price for what you get was solid. I'll be back many times over. I ordered the cucumber kimchi, mandu (fried dumplings) and bulgogi plate (tender marinated beef with a side of rice and veggies). I also ordered some spicy yangyum sauce to dip my veggies in. All was excellent

It's been awhile since we've had Korean Food. But that's the decision today. So we decide to stop here. It's a really small place - 8 - 2 person tables. As luck would have it we got the last one. Small menu, easy to order from. Plus there's a large menu on the wall, complete With pics. Ordered the lunch special. Beef Bulgogi plate for me and the Chicken Fried Rice for my wife. While we were waiting we received a small bowl of kimchee - nice smooth, not overly spicy. Our lunches arrived, the Chicken Fried Rice was loaded with tender chicken, cabbage, egg, & green onions. You could taste the soy - not overwhelming but adding to the taste. The Bulgogi, ordered spicy came a bowl of rice with delicious thin sliced meat. It was tender and moist. Service was excellent, making sure we weren't missing anything. Great meal - sorry we waited so long to stop.

5 stars!!! We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The staff are so on top of things as well as being kind and friendly. We ordered several dishes to try and they were all outstanding!! Fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned. We left there stuffed and oh so happy. We will definitely be back!!

First time here and it was fantastic It is a small place. I don't recommend for large groups but definitely worth picking up food to go. Our group was small and we shared a few dishes. Loved everything. Highly recommend

The cucumber kimchi ($3) looked a little different than traditional cucumber kimchi, but still tasty and spicy. Their cabbage and radish kimchi had a nice kick to as well, and I liked the extra ginger note. The 2 Korean tacos ($8.95) can be mix and match, so I got the Bulgogi beef and Spicy Pork. The presentation was lovely and they tasted good. There was a lot of meat and paired well with kimchi. In the future, I'll have a side rice. Some of the portions are a little small but that's okay, it is an AYCE after all! Any dishes we found smaller in portion were just sent in as double orders. Ordering is done on your own as the customer, but if it's your first time it's best to tell the host or hostess, the entire staff is really good about it though "have we been here before?" Or "is this our first time?" Was asked constantly to each new table so it's very easy to get into and start ordering. The music is great, the vibe is more built around groups than ones or twos but it still works. Overall I would definitely come here again as we had a great time! It takes a second to take in the side bar but once you understand it, it's extremely straight forward. Self serve everything and about a 3-5 minute wait on things that need to be restocked. Staff are constantly swarming around to help and deliver food or take plates so it does make it seem VERY lively. Just don't wear hot clothes or jackets, you're going to be warm from the stove tops and eating so much! We got the AYCE KBBQ Premium choice and 2 Asahi 21oz beers for a total of $94. The price is steep but again, it is AYCE so make it worth it, we sure did! Thank you I Grill!

The waitress came and shoved the bill to my face whilst I was eating and said I had to pay right now so they can close down. Mind you there were about 20 others in the restaurant. She insisted on us settling the bill right now right now, and got extremely rude, condescending and frankly speaking hostile. I wonder why we were the only table that got treated differently and perhaps unwanted there. If so they should had refused service from the get go. That's why Sakura Sushi & Grill stood out right away. They clearly label gluten-free options on the menu. They also offer gluten-free soy sauce, which is a huge win. Even better, they have lunch specials with gluten-free options, which is rare. It's located in Riverside Plaza in Albuquerque, just past the river on the west side. I ordered the Sushi Lunch A with premium fish and chose the double salmon roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the portions were great for the price. The miso soup that comes with lunch isn't gluten-free, but they brought me a side salad with an amazing gluten-free dressing instead. I felt confident eating here, which is not something I say often. I didn't have any reaction afterward and would absolutely eat here again. One of the coolest surprises: they make their own wasabi in-house. It's not on the menu, but if you ask, they'll bring it out, and it is absolutely worth it. We considered getting a sushi boat, but the lunch specials were a better value for lunch. If we went for dinner, we would absolutely order a boat. I also had hot sake, which paired perfectly with the meal. At the end, they even brought us a sweet cinnamon tea for my friend's birthday, even though we didn't order dessert. Service was warm and attentive the entire time. My friend has a shellfish allergy, and the server made sure her plate only included fin fish, which we really appreciated. We went around 1:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, and it was quiet with only a few other tables. The atmosphere felt calm and relaxed, with a casual, comfortable vibe that made it easy to sit and actually enjoy a conversation without feeling rushed. They close at 3 and reopen for dinner, so it's a great low-key lunch spot if you time it right. My friend also mentioned she brings her young kids here often, and the woman manager or owner is especially kind and welcoming to them. I enjoyed this place so much that I called my husband on the way home to tell him all about it. We're already planning to go back with our kids, which will make this my second visit in one week. If you're gluten-free, this place is a gem. And even if you're not, the quality, service, and overall experience make it absolutely worth a visit.
