Imagine my surprise when I walked into a store that has every single detailed item and embellishment and tool that I could possibly need for crafting school projects and my own hobbies! I walked into this amazingly large room of scrapbook hard at work, and they showed me some of the things that they have been working on, and I was blown away by the creativity and detailed beauty of their masterpieces. These are damaged adults trying to recover stolen memories, and their writings are not about the existing store or the experiences of children spending time there. It is REALLY easy to bring a child to a bad establishment and stay positive so they leave feeling that they had a great day. If your kid is walking out of a toy store feeling "disappointed," then it wasn't the toy store that did that. It was low functioning fumbling of the child's experience. This a good store that struggles with stock and pricing. If you have been to a Go! store, you know what you're in for. Certainly some constructive criticism is warranted. This Toys R Us is pretty big, but not as big as the ones I've seen before. However, a child can wander the aisles and find PLENTY of toys to beg their parents to buy for them. However, toy prices are pretty high. I think you can find and buy toys at lower prices on Amazon, but the appeal of Toys R Us is that you can shop in person. I'm very excited to see Toys R Us back! This store has a little bit of everything. Home goods - like candles, blankets and pillows. Clothing primarily for women. Also jewelry, bags and hats. The store is bigger then it looks from the outside. I really enjoyed looking around and seeing all of the cute little treasures they have. The owners informed me that they will soon be moving just across the street so make sure to keep a lookout for that. Sounded like they could be moving in a month? I stumbled upon a post they did which was in solidarity with a group of people and seeing that our values were aligned I knew this was a local small business that I needed to be supporting from here on out. I came midweek to shop and look around, and I had a great experience. It's a smaller bookstore, but they did have a lot to choose from! I was especially happy to see that they keep up with new and trending authors/books that come out. But of course, they also had a broad selection of every type of book you could think of. Being a smaller independent bookstore they don't have mass quantity though so if you find a book you like you should grab it because they only have a copy or two of each. I found that the pricing was comparable to anywhere else but again when you shop here you're supporting local small businesses so even if it was a little pricier, it would be worth it to me. They had a cute child's/kids section in the back so it would definitely be a great place to bring your little one to look around or read a story. The vibes are welcoming, but I also appreciate when staff leave you to look around without standing over your shoulder. I was looking for a copy of MC5 "Kick Out the Jams" for over a year, and I found it within 30 seconds of walking in! They may be a bit pricy, but it is worth it to find those gems that you just can't get at other record stores. And the staff has great taste in music, they play obscure stuff and I often discover new artists when I visit. They are knowledgeable and helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for that old school record store vibe... you won't regret it!

Having been to many markets such as this one I just didn't find the assortment to be tailored to my likes as much. Some of the items here didn't seem fresh and look like items I've seen many times over at other collectives. Long story to say nothing screamed out to me as "super cool" or "I need to have it" Also the prices just seemed high on some of the items. A $25 hair clip? If I wanted to pay those prices I'd go to Anthropologie. At an artist collective in a spot like Ventura I wasn't expecting LA prices. I totally understand the prices are likely determined by the artists but when prices are generally high it steers people away. Unless you have deep pockets, it's not super affordable for me. I want to support local and am willing to pay but the quality and uniqueness has to be there. I knew I wasn't alone when I watched a guy and gal next to me look at a clothing price tag and immediately kept moving. Yes, this is a great place to browse. I appreciated the friendly service. But I wanted to shop so maybe the current inventory just isn't for me.
