I've been to the new location a few times now, and it's a great space--easy to get to, well…read moreorganized, and with a fantastic selection across a wide variety of genres. On my last visit, Liz helped me out, and she was awesome. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to make some excellent recommendations based on what I was looking for. It's always nice to shop somewhere that feels welcoming, and her enthusiasm for music really made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping by if you're a record collector or just looking to discover something new!

Is this store owned by or affiliated with the Rhino Records label? I don't know. It would seem…read moreso. It doesn't really matter. This is a an excellent shop. You walk in and vinyl, some merch, cassettes, and books are to the right and CDs, DVDs and posters are to to the left. The vinyl selection is very nice. Don't sleep on the books. They are excellent. Do people actually buy cassettes? I don't think I want to meet those people, no oiffense. The CD collection was bigger and better than I expected. They have both new and used CDs. The prices on the used CDs were reasonable. Music will be playing during your visit and it will probably be good music (on vinyl, of course). The store is spotless and the workers were very friendly and helpful. The vibe here is very good. If I lived closer, I would come here a lot and I would buy a lot. Free and easy parking in the lot. If you love music, you have no excuse for not visiting.

The line was absolutely biblical but undeterred I decided to wait and wait some more. Yes, I regret nothing. Located after downtown Covina, Kaos Records is in a large strip mall with what on a regular day would be plenty of parking. Once inside I found a good medium sized record store that specializes in 80s new wave and punk. There's lot of posters, clothing and other memorabilia here. On a regular day I'd be digging through the bins for sure. The signing was handled really well. The boys of the Alain Whyte band were super friendly and personable, which was part of the problem. Everyone wanted to chat them up while us latecomers were sweating it up outside lol. But once inside all the heat was forgotten. All the employees were super cool and kept us updated every step of the way. 40 years in business so they're definitely doing something right. I'll definitely be returning to check out what they have. There's a few holes in my collection I think they could definitely fill. Great store! Highly recommended!!!

Great selection, I was finding some real scores in the bins. You can tell they curate with a keen eye. It has that "lived-in neighborhood record store" vibe devoid of the gatekeeping male gaze, but rather a welcoming, intimate familiarity. They have clever merchandising, and great merch. The two guys in the shop were a treat to chat with, they really made it a great experience to shop there. I will definitely make a return trip on my next LA visit!

I had a lot of fun at this experience and would definitely go again next year when they change it…read moreup. One of the highlights was the small circus-style show featuring bikes and motorcycles, which was entertaining and added a unique touch. The acrobat portion was fairly short and ended up being my least favorite part of the event. The lighting and visual effects were absolutely amazing. There seemed to be a blend of Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz themes throughout the experience. While the visuals were beautiful, I think it would have been even better if they had fully committed to one theme rather than mixing elements together. My favorite part was exploring the many small rooms scattered throughout the venue. Each room was decorated differently, and it was a lot of fun discovering all the creative details and designs. I do hope that future versions stay more consistent with the chosen theme instead of sprinkling in random figurines that don't quite fit. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I'd happily return next year to see what they create next.

They offer some great deals for local residents as well as on weeknights. We stopped by here the other night after my birthday dinner. It was a little chilly and windy, but there were so many cool things to see and do here. Talk about a plethora of options for photo ops and selfies! The Wizard of Oz theme is cool. There's a couple rooms that don't seem to follow the theme, which helps mix it up a bit. There's also a "circus" which looks like a lot of BMX and dirt bikes. We heard it and saw some of the performance, but it's a very small area of the attraction, so we were more interested in everything else. We ended up staying here almost two hours and they were getting ready to close. This is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun and different to do in the area.
