I found this shop online and signed up to do a tournament here. when I got in the shop it was really small and tight for a 16 person event. But I made my way to the back to check in where I was informed they don't honor the online sign ups you have to be at the store to get in. They we're full and also starting before the call time. The shop looks really nice if you're going there to buy stuff, but I wouldn't recommend going to any events at a place like this. I really wouldn't even recommend going during event because it's so hard to get around the store. I know I won't be back. read more

I've come into The Shop a few times recently. Today I came in to get the new obsidian flames pokemon booster packs. It is my husband's birthday so I decided to treat him and get him some booster packs and pokemon cards. We were immediately greeted and welcomed. All staff are super friendly and knowledgeable! I know they have a card playing night on Thursday's and we've yet to check it out but we probably will this week or next. They have super rare Pokemon cards that are reasonably priced and in good condition. They also have merchandise, action figures, other play cards, comic books, etc. For sure it's a good place to come chill (they have an arcade machine and couches) or just look through what they have. They also had a cool contest, if one pulls out a Magikarp then you can win a prize for every $20 you spend on pokemon cards (I don't think this is an all the time thing though FYI). Unprofessional business practices. I won an auction for a playset of trading cards from this store. I'm guessing they weren't satisfied with the winning bid amount so they cancelled my order without notifying me. So I had to reach out to them asking why my order was cancelled, and I was told "My daughter spilled water on my shipping cards when I had them on the table..." Even if I truly believed that's the case I'd understand, so I told him I'd still be interested in the purchase, just send some pics of the current condition of the cards. He responds "Sounds good. I'll send when we open tomorrow". I knew I wouldn't get any pics, and sure enough the following day I get nothing. So once again I reach out to them asking about the pics. 3-Bit Games is one of the coolest gaming shops in Pomona, California because they have: DVD's, Comics,Cards,Games, even retro consoles. I personally bought a N64 with a reasonably priced "Pokemon Snap" and it worked without any problems or majors issues. They can order custom Pins for example I ask for a Yellow Version pin of Pikachu and Red Version. I'm giving this place 3 star because they're fairly brand new to the indoor, so today I came in and I saw an atomic red Nintendo 64 ($59.99)but it didn't have the original controller, it came with an red controller... So I saw they had an super smash brothers for $54.99.. I told him I had an extra copy super smash brothers, so I wanted to do a trade, I told him I'll trade super smash brothers,jet force Gemini, cruisin USA, and quake 2 (that's like a value of $80) for the atomic red Nintendo 64... The guy talk to his manager and the manager says no.... "but when I decided to throw in a Nintendo 64 console" he wanted to say yes to the deal "I said yeah right"..... Your trade in value is better if you get store credit and you are not attempting to sell junk. With trade ins you really have to look at what you have and know if it can be sold again. They take DVDs , comic books, and games. Prices are what you would expect at most retro game store but they occasionally have sales to get rid of stock.
