They took about 1 hour to move an organized small studio and just under 2 hours to move my lesser organized 1 BR. The bulk our time was spent at our new building which required more travel time between the truck and the unit. These guys were optimal and had excellent strategizing and problem solving across all three buildings (which were all different). We had a challenging move from downtown S.F. to Berkeley, to a house that is in the middle of multiple construction projects. Yet they made everything feel easy. I had gotten food poisoning the day before and we were stressing because we hadn't yet finished packing. But it was no problem--they loaded the truck with the items that were ready to go while we packed the rest. Make sure to ask for Joseph and his team (Fernando and Victor). They arrived a little early so they'd be ready and were the utmost professional while also being a warm and friendly team of guys. We would have them over dinner any time. Because of Joseph I'm now convinced that moving is both an art and an athletic feat. We had a recliner (100lbs) and a treadmill (200lbs) that were too wide to go through a doorway--and yet he maneuvered them effortlessly through without a scratch on either.

I gave furniture list - 3 hutches, 2 buffet and 2 ikea billy bookcases and he tried to tell me it would be 4 movers and 4 hours of work. My 67 year old mother comes over to help me move these things and i am a 5'6 lady here. We are not big burly people. BUT YOU NEED 4 MOVERS AND $1200? He asked what i thought the job should be. I said 2 guys or even one. I CAN HELP. I just didn't have a truck or an extra human. The furniture would be outside and we would travel 3.8 miles across town to where this needed to go. Up a freight elevator to a storage unit. You can wipe my behind with $1200. I will hike these things on my back and carry them. Hang up on someone else you rude man.

The negative: Two movers were not enough based on the items we had including heavy items. The move took much longer than expected. Movers seemed really irritated the whole time, which I can't tell if it was from the heat or we did something wrong. Movers also left garbage behind and we had to clean up after. Usually the moving company will follow up after to see how things went, but we never heard from Nancy. Nancy also said she would come to check in during the move, but never did. We paid, and it was done. I think overall, it was a fine experience, but not to the level of other moving companies I've worked with before.
