The individual responding to the reviews promised he would refund my money. I had a very expensive item that I asked for special care with that they broke. They damaged parts of my home which I had to pay for. They said they would come and fix the damages and refund the items. Then they started making excuses and then they started insulting me. They brought 4 guys and it took them over 12 hours to pack up a 2 bedroom apartment and move it 20 minutes away to a place with no stairs. They didn't even finish the job. The main guy kept taking breaks by claiming he had to go and get more paper but then they used my things for packing and damaged so many things. I keep trying to get the refund the promised but they blocked my number. The lazy main guy also kept getting high on the job. I have video footage of them which I'll be posting on social media to warn others not to hire them. I filed a police report and joined the police to meet them but they said I would have to take them to court and I just didn't have time and knew they wouldn't pay even if I won. The police told me that several of them have criminal records.

They were patient and helpful when there was issues at the storage unit. Super flexible about things I wanted to add last minute. They took tables, cabinets, and other furniture pieces for me, but carefully wrapped them in wool and plastic to protect them during transport. I had about 30 boxes that they handled with care. How sad then that Yeshi stressed me out when I requested the move(over a month in advance) when we were getting to 2 weeks before the move. I hate moving, it's a traumatic situation for me, and any extra stress can make me physically ill. Yeshi gave me that extra stress because he balked at one flight of stairs, something I could do nothing about. Should I have gotten another apt to make it easier for movers? Anyway, he drove me to find other movers and miraculously I did. So I cancelled him, and won't be using him again. I didn't realize it would be such a bother. So if you have a REALLY easy move, he might be the one to contact, but beyond that he might get mad at the imposition. Be careful not to anger the moving man with stairs!

I will explain why you need AVOID this moving company even though it enjoys five star evaluations…read moreat yelp. Here is the summary. 1. This company does not compensate any DAMAGE or LOSS that happens during moving. 2. This company is UNINSURED. 3. This company is NOT REGISTRED in California as moving service company. This is the fallacy of Yelp's recommendation system. I fell into it. You could. FIND ANOTHER company. Serious. Here is my true story. I moved by 50min driving time. I called 3 men crew, they worked approx 5 hours. I paid $760.00, which is indeed more that you could expect. 1. During the move, one crew broke my tea table. I forgave, not did not charge the cost. 2. In 1 day after the move, we found an expensive plant is missing. They took it out from the old place (this is correct because I took photos of the old place after they moved all the stuffs out). It never arrived. One crew member was interested in my plant during move, though I don't judge that he would steal. ) 3. I called Sean, the chairperson of Movers Anonymous, who did not answer. Left voice message. in 34 hours, I got a call back. Discussed. He promised to call back but did not for another 2 days. 4. I emailed him. He said he would return immediately. Never happened. 5. Now it has been 10 days. Sean, the chairperson of this company, never return my email/phone, and does not resolve this issue. Upfront before moving, I asked Sean about loss/damage insurance. He said they don't have insurance, but they WILL pay outof their pocket on any circumstance. Ask him. He will say the same thing. But will you believe him? Moving process takes so many contingency. It is not possible you can record and remember every step. That's why insurance and proper inventory keeping is important. Movers anoynmous is great in the sense that crew members are kind and diligent. Is that sufficient? No. your goal is moving safely. My goal was violated. I believed Yelp's recommendation (5 stars). Not for your valuable stuffs. Here is the last line: Movers Anonymous is not trustworthy.

It hurts me to write this review because in the past I have RAVED and recommended these movers to…read moreanyone who even dreamt of moving. I have used M.A. twice. Once in 2010 and once in 2011. I not only told the movers how they were the best and tipped accordingly I even wrote Sean the owner to let him know how great they were. Fast forward to August 2014. We had a complicated move, which I stated in my very detail email. I suggested the movers the most comprehensive way to move out of our place into the Pods...well...they kinda did it backwards and ended up wasting a lot of time and even banged up one of the floor boards moving a L-shaped Couch (which was not meant to come through the house at all ) through the house out the front door. Anyways...the guys Fred and Ronnie were nice guys and hard workers. But the move took probably an hour or so longer than it should of. When I called Sean with my grievances (I did so with a heavy heart and expressed that to him). He was rude and cold and accused me of cheating him out of 80 dollars because I was confused about the set up fee. Although his employee gave me a bill I paid exactly what the bill had written on it. So HIS employee mis calculated. I was told that "I should have known because I know his {his} company works"..... I was absolutely offended. I hired them 3 times in 4 years. He didn't offer to accommodate me at all even though my husband whom is a real estate agent talks up his business to all of his clients whom buy homes. To accuse me of deliberately stealing $80 buy not paying him. (A woman who has hired him more than once) is too much. His employees only take cash after the move, they did NOT give me a receipt and then had me feel out a questionnaire about how my move meant. It was not even an anonymous questionnaire?!? One of the questions is, "did anything get broken in the move?" How should I know? We hadn't unpacked anything yet. I wrote..."not sure yet". Unfortunately the floor board is damaged as well as a dresser drawer handled that was badly bent. The 3 stars are an average of the other moves. The first move was a 5 the second a 4.5 (the movers were a tad late but worked like mules... btw...Those gentlemen no longer work with Mover's Anonymous which is a shame). The third move is a 2 because the guys (who I did have some issues with i.e. the floorboard damage, leaving behind their trash on my property, taking a break only 2 hours after arriving when they knew one Pod needed to be packed by 1pm) were really nice guys and hard workers. Unfortunately Sean was very unprofessional when dealing with a disgruntled thrice repeat customer whom previously has given him nothing but kudos. Not nice Sean. ;-(

Unprofessional, careless whiners. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! I was referred to this unscrupulous…read moremoving company by another business that was unavailable for my job, and it's easily the worst recommendation I've ever received. I'll be contacting them with a similar advisory. In case moving isn't already stressful enough, Shane and Chris will add to your frustrations by showing up more than two hours late, and not bothering to let you know until 30 mins after they were supposed to start the job. I ask for a call or text when they're on their way (because I couldn't just wait around for them for two hours), and then they call once they're at the home. So I fly up to the house to meet them in less than 15 minutes to find they left to take their lunch break without any communication. When they did finally show up, they spent the entire 50 mins of work whining and complaining about the weight of my furniture and the tight packing of my POD (that was completed by real professionals). Repeatedly asked me if there was anything glass or breakable in boxes so they could just apathetically toss stuff around and carelessly arrange it. Uhhhh, how about you treat someone else's property like it's all fragile/breakable/important to the paying customer?!? What a profound concept. They didn't smartly arrange the space we had to store our property. If they weren't whining about the weight, they were whining that they had to make it all fit in a one car garage. Thankfully it won't be stored long, otherwise I'd be having to find new professionals to fix their mess. Finally, on the last piece of furniture, they decide to bust out a small dolly. It's not your customer's fault if you choose to do things unergonomically, unsafely, and irresponsibly. They then demanded that they still be paid in full despite their inability to follow through on our original agreement, putting me under a very stressful time crunch due to their excessive tardiness. They wanted to claim they'd cut me a deal for my future moving needs, but that is such a laughable prospect, I couldn't even bring myself to acknowledge such a ridiculous suggestion. Why would I ever ask for help from people who don't respect my time, my property, or my finances, and spent the whole 50 mins complaining about the job they were overpaid to do?? JOKES! Maybe they should take the more than double pay they didn't earn and invest in some professional equipment. Unfortunately, professionalism, courtesy, and the most basic level of service standards can't be purchased.
