These guys moved me a little over 5 years ago and I was VERY happy with them, so much so that I…read moreremembered their name and they were my FIRST choice for my current move. How sad then that Yeshi stressed me out when I requested the move(over a month in advance) when we were getting to 2 weeks before the move. I hate moving, it's a traumatic situation for me, and any extra stress can make me physically ill. Yeshi gave me that extra stress because he balked at one flight of stairs, something I could do nothing about. Should I have gotten another apt to make it easier for movers? Anyway, he drove me to find other movers and miraculously I did. So I cancelled him, and won't be using him again. I didn't realize it would be such a bother. So if you have a REALLY easy move, he might be the one to contact, but beyond that he might get mad at the imposition. Be careful not to anger the moving man with stairs!

Do not book this company. He is a scammer. Literally any other mover will be better…read more We spoke with Steven a few months before our move to get a detailed estimate and scheduled a pick-up date. He seemed professional and helpful--until the day of the move, which turned out to be an absolutely horrible experience. He hired third-party movers who were originally scheduled for the afternoon, but instead, they arrived late, after 8 PM, in a U-Haul truck, and did not finish until after midnight. They were completely unprepared--no tools or equipment--and didn't have a truck large enough for all our belongings. Once they arrived, they re-quoted us for nearly $1,300 more than the original estimate, and only part of our belongings fit on the truck. Upon delivery a few weeks later, we were told the day before that the truck was "too big" to fit on our street, despite having confirmed with our building in advance. The third-party company charged an additional fee and held our belongings until it was paid. We paid extra for wrapping, but nothing was wrapped. Our couch was destroyed, wood furniture completely scratched, and many items are still missing. Steven has been unhelpful throughout this process, and we have been going back and forth for four months trying to get an update on our insurance claim, that he just denied because I left this review, and additional false accusations, even though we had a signed contract that included insurance.

I used PODs before and all my furniture and boxes arrived in good shape. That was not the case this time around. They were doing a good job initially but just didn't think it through as they filled the POD and I paid the price for not having a 2nd person watching them while I was busy. They also ran out of moving wrap (which they say they provide) and it became my problem since several of my lamp shades got dirty and dented from the move not to mention a few dented boxes. Unfortunately, at the end I was very disappointed with the low level of care and how the senior mover started taking calls and left the other mover working alone for a while. They had the nerve to charge me for 3 hours when it was barley 3 hours! If they had continued the way they started the job could have been completed in 2 or 2.5 hours at best!

Stripped and bent my dresser knobs on my dresser. Tony kept stringing me along like he was going to take care of the situation. In the end I only wanted $50. I moved in August and still waiting for a measly $50 that was promised. He kept saying Carlos was going to call me blah blah blah And guess who had to do all the follow up??!!! ME. I have NO clue how this guy received 4 stars. Probably had friends or family write reviews. I received No invoice and no refund. I had a 1 bedroom move that cost $740. I'd advise anyone to think twice. I just wish someone would have alerted and warned me. I was going to give this small business another chance by giving him 72 hours to make the Venmo deposit. Screw it this review will cost his business way more. The audacity of this guy is completely ridiculous. Zero accountability. I was very patient and kind until now. Use another moving company.

I would absolutely recommend this service!…read more I finally found a place to live in SF, but was worried about how much furniture/belongings I owned and how I would be able to carry everything (a marble table...) up three flights of stairs. After endlessly researching ways to move my belongings (at an affordable price), I came across this company through an instagram #hashtag. I looked them up, filled out their website, and got a reasonable estimate. The truck and the movers came together as a bundle so it made the decision even easier. On move-in day, the crew arrived on time and was able to move everything quickly. They didn't complain about the flight of stairs! The estimate was exact to the actual price of the move. I was really satisfied with the service that I already recommended them to two co-workers. To top it off the owner came to my new house a couple days later to drop off flowers! It gave a personal touch to their service that you don't see often.

Horrible Experience! DO NOT USE!…read more Beware that this company is registered in many names. This was such a horrific experience I'm still mad at it a few years later and I don't want anyone else to go through a similar experience. At first, speaking with the scheduler was so easy and she was very helpful. Even working with Will, who came out to give us the quote, he was nice and I felt comfortable using them. Then came the actual move. . .on the day of the move we were sitting to the side in the living room to be able to supervise. Right before we locked up, one of the guys swiped our cell phone battery charger, never to be seen again. A little thing to be overlooked, but I'm just getting started. The movers left all of their trash from lunch out on the curb after leaving. Again, not horrible but not great. Now we're really getting into it. The next day when our belongings were delivered, the movers backed a DIFFERENT truck up ready for unloading. EXCEPT, I was told I needed to pay an additional $1625 BEFORE they would start unloading. First I spoke to Will, then Mark, then Amir on the phone and was told again that I needed to pay in cash or Zelle before they would start unloading. They stated that the work was much more than was originally quoted and it would take them additional hours to unload. They even suggested I call family for the extra money! As I told them I didn't have that much in cash, nor was this legal or ethical, I parked my car in front of the truck so they were trapped and could not leave. I then proceeded to call the police. The police came, spoke to Mark on the phone and after some back and forth for over an hour, as the agreement stated that they accepted credit card payments, I agreed to pay the additional amount on a credit card and specifically told them that IF they did not use those additional hours, I would be disputing the credit card charges. What do you think happened then? The workers begrudgingly unloaded the stuff, lost all of the screws and nuts for the furniture, and put the furniture back together with missing pieces. After unloading I was asked to come check the truck for anything they may have missed. I got in the truck and checked it out. How can you tell if anything is missing until you unpack? Ultimately we found that our food vacuum sealer and some other smaller items were missing or broken. . . but after everything that happened that was another drop in the bucket. Of course, the movers DID NOT use the additional hours I was charged! After months of sending demand letters, I finally made a claim with the credit card company to dispute the charges. After Spartan did not respond to the credit card company, my money was refunded in full. What a headache. . . and I'm still mad about it. Why didn't I make a claim with the Better Business Bureau you ask, because at the time, we were planning on taking them to small claims court and you couldn't make a claim with BBB while there was an ongoing case. DO NOT USE THEM, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!
