I have had my gel polish done exactly one week ago, the amount of polish used in my nails was so much, it made it to be aí think that it's always been peeled off. I was going to put a a review about my nails not been shaped, and cuticles not been trimmed good but I told myself to let go as the nails grow. I thought this place was totally fine. The chairs are in good condition with a strong massage function. My water for the pedicure spa was cooler than I'd usually prefer, but not uncomfortable. I wanted to give this place 4 stars but I sadly cannot. I was very happy with the quality of the shellac nails that I received and the business presented it self as a very clean environment. However, there where some cons... First, I asked them not to cut my nails, which he didn't but he filed them for so long that he might as well have cut them. Secondly, it was not until after he started to do my nails that he told me there was a $5 surplus charge for the polish I asked to use.... My total came out to $35 not including the tip. That was a little pricy considering I've had them done just as well for $28 elsewhere. As I was walking out of the salon I noticed they had a sign for "$5 off shellac nails..." I definitely did not receive this $5 off. I am happy with how my nails came out(besides the length). However, I just felt that the price wasn't fair. I've been to this salon twice now. The first time was an ok experience quite some time ago, really nothing special. The last visit this past weekend wasn't great either and actually scared me a bit. I was seated with someone who didn't speak much English, so communication was difficult, at best. She was nice but... I asked for a simple pedicure but also wanted to ensure they would address dry dead skin on my heels. For an up charge, they can certainly address it. Last time I was here, there was no up charge, but ok. Whatever. I noticed another similar nail salon did the same thing - offered up different levels of pedicures and charged for this, which was part of the price times prior. In any event, while the initial soaking and cuticle cutting began, she told me to let her know if she hurts me. I said, "excuse me?" and she repeated it. I said I had never been hurt before, I hope it doesn't hurt. I suspect she meant if she cut me, to let her know. I would think if she cut me, I would be walking out. I considered it anyway. But I stuck through it. The lighting is fairly dim, the tools used came from the regular toolbox, not from an autoclave, the items were not wet so it seemed they were not dipped or soaked in any kind of alcohol/chemical solution or ultrasonic machine. I really don't know if this was just used on the previous person or what. There was no soapy solution in the tub my feet were soaking in and the lotion rub on my legs was less than great, most of the lotion was still quite visible on my legs. She just took a towel to wipe them down. There was oil applied to the bottom of my feet and as I tried to wipe them on the towel under my feet, I didn't do it well enough, she placed my flip flops on my feet and as I walked out and to my car, my feet were super slippery inside my shoes. Thank goodness I had a towel in my car to wipe the shoes and my feet before I left the parking lot. When I looked closer at my toes later, the polish job wasn't great either, but good enough I suppose. It's too bad I don't have the same color to hit a couple of missed spots. I really need to find a good salon and nail tech to go to. This was kind of a let down. read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars only because they were convenient and had lots of employees. I stopped by on a Tuesday to request an appointment for Wednesday ( I'm from out of town and needed some broken acrylic nails fixed with a fill) The lady that answers the phones and schedules the appointments was not in a hurry for my request as she was yelling across the salon while filing another clients nails. I set the appointment and asked for an experienced tech that can do acrylic. Most places are doing shellac,which I don't like. She said yes she had a good tech... fast forward to my appointment Wednesday, I walk in , I was greeted told to pick my polish/ gel (No color rings) only bottles of polish on the wall. Sat down at 11:06 am. The girl started my nails asked if I wanted dipped powder, I said no, acrylics.. she stared working and I had to coach her on the coffin shape and applying the acrylic evenly... an hour later she only has 3 nails complete In what should have taken an hour total was 2.5 hours any I'm not happy with my nor shape. I did ask if it was her first time and if there was someone else who did acrylics. There was not! even though there was 11 working ladies in the salon. I'm sure they are good at pedicures- there were 15 pedi chairs. If you want acrylics I would look into another place but other services they may be good at. I have never reviewed on here before, but I thought I would share how awful this place was so others wouldn't go and waste money. I wanted a SIMPLE job: fill in, with my nails painted white, and my ring finger peach. A 5 year old could do it. Since my nails were pink and white before, the woman "refused to do any other fill in but with pink gel", even though I told her I wanted just the basic since it would be painted over. I asked her repeatedly but she said no. I should have walked out then. Then, she decided that I wouldn't get white. I picked out a color that wasn't white, it ended up being a very opaque color and would need a ton of coats, so I asked if I could switch colors. She told me no. "I don't have any whites". I turned around and saw a wall full of colors. "None of those are white". Am I blind, or an idiot? No. So I allowed her to convince me to paint them this hideous light pink, that didn't match the coral nail she had painted. I paid 50 dollars for the worst job I have ever seen. I was in a wedding on the beach, and the top clear coat she put on MELTED IN THE SUN. All the sand stuck to it. I was baffled and shocked that I paid 50 for a horrible job, and then it MELTED off. So bottom line: Do not go here unless you want an expensive and crappy job. read more

K Nails is my go to nail spot in South Tampa. They are consistent and located conveniently next to Publix on Gandy. They recently upgraded the shop and I love it. It is very clean and they are quick. I have been here dozens of times and I've never had the wait. The nail technicians are friendly and skilled. They do excellent pedicures I always get the deluxe. I just started getting the SNS dip on my natural nails and they look incredible. If you are looking for a nail spot I encourage you to give them a try! MiMi always does an excellent job! read more

I get my nails and eyebrows done here every 2 weeks. I love that I have never had to wait (regardless of the time I come in) and the staff is always very friendly. The owner is very nice, and the staff are all very nice and professional but personable. Yes, they do speak Vietnamese to each other (which bothers me not one iota) but they do not have that "fake" friendliness I have encountered at other salons. I get a liquid gel fill with gel nail polish and have never had streaky, bubbly, or dull nails after a visit. I have never been cut (that seemed to be the norm at other places I have been to) and the prices are reasonable. I first started coming here when my left eyebrow was almost completely waxed off at another salon (never going there again) and I was shown how to fill in and shape my eyebrows to match until it grew back. It was very nice to see them examine the eyebrow and gradually shape both to the same shape as it grew. Love this salon and will keep returning! read more

There was a little bit of a wait and a decent selection of polishes to choose from. It was pretty busy in here for a week day but it's probably because they're awesome! My nail tech was so friendly and really took the time to make sure I was happy with the shape, length, and results. My nails still look so good a week later. The salon is open concept and clean. Newly renovated, I believe. The prices were reasonably and comparable to nearby nail salons. I shall return!! read more

On the floor when there were empty chairs available. $55 for a basic and when i say basic I mean no frills at all pedi and gel manicure. I have gone to this nail salon as it is a short distance from my home. I was excited today to get a pedi/dip mani for Labor Day next weekend. Upon arrival (I was the first customer of the day) I chose coordinating polish and dip powder. The pedicure went flawlessly and then I went to sit for my mani. I noticed that the technician had a gel bottle out in the color I wanted, and then mentioned that I had wanted the dip. She nodded and continued to work on my nails. When it came time for polish, she pulled the gel lamp out. I verbalized again that I intended to have dip, and apologized if there was a miscommunication on my behalf. She said she was not trained to do dip and that I would have to get the gel. The manager then came up to me and said no one was able to do dip so I would have to have a gel mani. She said other techs were able to do it earlier in my visit but they had customers with appointments. I'm not allowed to wear gel polish at my workplace and didn't want to pay for something that I didn't want. I simply asked to pay for my manicure without polish and pedicure and left. I won't be coming back here again to pay for a service I didn't want to ask for. read more

Worst nail experience ever. I literally just walked out of the place and took these pictures of my nails; and these are just two examples of the many issues I have with the nail job from this place. The girl who did my fingernails poured the clippers and other nail tools out of the "sanitized" bag and someone else's fingernail clippings fell out. They obviously don't use cleaned tools. She was rude and constantly jerked my hands and fingers around, twisting my fingers and wrists. Her solution to removing sloppy polish from around the edges of my nail-beds was to file it off, leaving my skin injured and sore. Neither girl cleaned from under my nails; see the sand still left under my toenail in the picture. I left with deep indentations on my forearms since the counters have sharp marble edges and they offer nothing to rest your arms on when getting your fingernails worked on and she's pulling on them the entire time. The massages were nothing more than a slight rubbing of lotion on my skin for no more than a minute. She rubbed oil all over my hands and arms just before she shooed me away from the counter, leaving my hands and nails slimy. I had to go find my own tissue to clean myself up so I could hold the pen to pay. The manager sat like a monkey on the armrest of one of the lobby chairs with his feet IN the chair playing in his laptop the entire time. Skip this place. Save yourself from getting a pedicure from here, bc for one ITS NOT CLEAN, and two they literally dip your feet in water, rub lotion, and don't even give you a massage. I would just get gel color change and save yourself $25. Younger guy that 'greets' you isn't friendly and talks in another language the whole time. Nails are average, girls are nice, but that's about it. Overall, save yourself overpriced services and go down the street. read more

I've been here several times for both manis and pedis. The store is spacious and very clean, plus they play good music overhead at just the right level. There are 16 pedi chairs and 12 mani stations; I've always come as a walk in and been seated right away. They have a great selection of both regular colors and gel colors. I usually just get the "regular" services but they of course have upgrades to include callus removal, paraffin, etc. I have been happy with both the regular manis and pedis; the manis haven't lasted as long as others I've gotten but they looked good when I needed them to. I have gotten nicked twice but nothing major and the ladies were always apologetic. The one time I got gel nails I was fairly disappointed. Their process is different from other gels I have had, involving more steps and more layers. The end result was streaky and the color was different than it looked on the bottle. I had chosen a minty color that turned out more like Apple green; I had the same color on my toes and it was definitely minty so I could compare. I will come back for regular manis and pedis but I would not get another gel mani. read more
