I think if you're a week out it's pretty safe, but since we were a couple days out we couldn't get appointments at 1 p.m. and had to go with 11 a.m. instead. Since we were 11 a.m. I had a busy morning and rushed out without coffee. I asked if they had coffee and they do, but it's powder from a package. Therefore, it is already sweetened with creamer and sugar. It was a little too sweet for me, so next time I know I need to bring my coffee. I really enjoy the decor of the place, it has a lot of glitter (which I love) and tons of greys and blue. They really like this dog training show and play it on the TV. It's a random thing to notice, but I miss when they played the home improvement shows. However, since I was there with my sister we were busy chatting instead. Their no frills pedicure (which is still great) is $33, which I think is a great deal. I feel like my feet were pampered and I have a new color that stays on pretty long. Overall I really like this place and I'll keep coming back for pedicures. If you have an appointment they are pretty on the ball about making sure they see you on time.

I had a dip removal, french technique with dip on natural nail with Amy. She asked questions and was very purposeful in getting the dip perfect. I was a little tense because I had had a not so wonderful experience at the previous salon where my cuticles and skin around my nails were nicked with the machine several times and had even drawn blood on a couple of places. Amy relaxed me and explained each step she was doing and why. Even though I have had dip several times this was the first time it was truly explained to me and let me know she really cared about what she was doing and making me comfortable. David, the owner, was welcoming and let me know at checkout that if there was ever an issue to let him know personally. I am definitely making an appointment for a pedicure. Try out Fantastic Nails.

The nearby Love Nails has a huge staff but turnover is an issue and I never found one person I could rely upon for good service. The mall has a place; but I didn't find them friendly. I am very happy with Vi because the same small group of people have been there for the past two years and they all provide consistent excellence in quality. I love how friendly everyone is and that they actually talk to me and smile (seems basic for good service; but most nail places don't do this). I like that they recognize me and my daughter each time one of us goes. Also, I have always been offered bottled water at each visit. The owner takes great pride in offering the largest variety of colors available at any salon, large or small. Choosing a color to match your mood is never a problem. Most importantly, I have always found the salon to be clean and never felt that anyone didn't take extra care to ensure a sterile environment for manicures and pedicures. I highly recommend all the services and technicians at Vi Nails. If you went when the location was under previous owners; you should try it again.

We're trying all the nail salons around Westchase because we haven't found one that we love yet. This one was the cheapest. It was $65 for dip manicure and regular pedicure (for comparison, Organic is $70, Tre Nail is $75 and Premier Nail Bar is $85). So based on that fact alone, I don't feel like I got a terrible deal. In about 1 1/2 weeks one of my nails chipped. Since we go every 2 weeks it wasn't the biggest deal in the world, but still slightly annoying. My friend wanted neon yellow on both her hands and feet. They assured her the colors would be the same. Her feet came out just yellow. She actually disliked it so much she went somewhere else the next day to switch out the color (but she is on the particular side). I, on the other hand, loved my nail color. I got a dark red and it was exactly what I wanted. They were very busy for a random Thursday at 4 p.m. I heard them tell people it would be 15 minutes and they sat around for longer. A man left and came back and was angry they told him 15 minutes again. They responded you never said when you were coming back! Touche. I would definitely call ahead and not just walk in. Overall the mani and pedi were fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad, hence the three stars.
