I am new to Florida and I live in the Hudson area. I went to 5 different nail salons and each one, I was not impressed. 2 shops I went to, my nails (gel) was peeling within 1-3 days. I work in Odessa so I found Vi nails and got my nails done by Vi. I'm so happy, very good prep work and my nails does not chip or peel at all. The prices were amazing as well. I've been coming here for years because it's close to work. There have been various owner changes and various name changes throughout the years. But - the prices stay the same, and service is always 'okay'. Sometimes I get a superstar technician who does an amazing job, and other times I get a marginal technician. I'm not sure about their sterilization process, because I never see them getting their instruments from an autoclave. Their massage chairs are old, and while they do work, they don't work smoothly. They never offer anything to drink. While they have some recent magazines, I actually found myself looking through a year-old People magazine yesterday. They do offer free wifi, though - the password is their phone number. Plus, they seem to have a pretty extensive collection of polishes. I do love that I can almost always get in here right away, and I don't have to go through the hassle of waiting "10 minutes" which is really half an hour in nail tech speak, so I'm sure I'll be back. read more

I have been trying to find a place to use as a regular nail salon for many years. Until Vi came along I was struggling. The nearby Love Nails has a huge staff but turnover is an issue and I never found one person I could rely upon for good service. The mall has a place; but I didn't find them friendly. I am very happy with Vi because the same small group of people have been there for the past two years and they all provide consistent excellence in quality. I love how friendly everyone is and that they actually talk to me and smile (seems basic for good service; but most nail places don't do this). I like that they recognize me and my daughter each time one of us goes. Also, I have always been offered bottled water at each visit. The owner takes great pride in offering the largest variety of colors available at any salon, large or small. Choosing a color to match your mood is never a problem. Most importantly, I have always found the salon to be clean and never felt that anyone didn't take extra care to ensure a sterile environment for manicures and pedicures. I highly recommend all the services and technicians at Vi Nails. If you went when the location was under previous owners; you should try it again. read more

I will never visit this nail salon again. I walked in today for a pedicure and a fill and the guy said he had an appt at 11:00 and if the person came in he would have to stop and do their nails. It was already 11:30. I reminded him that two weeks ago I had an appt (which I arrived 10 minutes early for) and he was busy with someone else. He asked me to go to beef o bradys and he would call me in an hour when he was finished. So rude! As I was speaking to him, I noticed two very large bugs in the pedicure tubs. Absolutely disgusting! Wonderful nail salon !!! They do an amazing job My nails always look fabulous. The staff there are very friendly sweet and caring. The owners are great and it's a happy warm friendly atmosphere The place is clean. And they always sanitize everything including the chairs before you sit down. I highly recommend this nail salon !!!I I have tried several other nail salons in the area and this one is by far the best!!!!!They have the most beautiful powder dip colors. The facility is very clean and the staff super friendly. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and did a great job on my nails and toes! I got shellac on both. Only thing is, it's one of the most expensive pedi and medi I have done yet... I was a little shocked at the price. It was the most I have ever paid for having both done with shellac. Normally, I only pay around $45.00. And it was almost doubled that... this would be the only reason I wouldn't return. Other than that, if I ever return, it would be because my nails look so good! read more

It's very important to have good customer service and Westchase Nails have none. I have been loyal to them since I moved to Tampa from Atlanta, so about 4 months, we have always been treated so well by them but today it was a whole different salon from beginning to end. We walked in with smiles, this is the beginning of our wedding week and I wanted my fiance to get a manicure by the gentleman that does my fill ins for those close up pictures of our wedding bands. There was no problem until 3 more customers came in wanting a fill in by the same gentleman, he then told me fiance he can get his manicure by the other technician and I was appalled...we were here first and we both wanted to be helped by him and specifically requested him. He insisted on my fiance to get a manicure by the other technician and we made it clear that we didn't want it that way that it was important for our nails to be done right by him. While this is going on I'm getting a pedicure by a different guy that works part time for NASCAR and full time as a butcher. I'm already in pain and ill by the horrible events transpiring in front of me I couldn't handle any more. I told the guy I didn't want my toe nails painted that I was done and ready to go. The gentleman told me $20 for the 10 minute "pedicure" while the gentleman that does my fill ins didn't say a word or apologize to me. When my fiance swiped his card the guy who did my pedicure was so insistent on getting a tip he kept asking how much for tip? And my fiance said nothing!!!! And he asked again...tip....how much and again my fiance said NOTHING...and he finally hit zero with an attitude. I'm so upset at this place on such an important week for us, they should have felt honored we were there to actually receive services from them. Fortunately Love Nails is right across the street and they have such a beautiful salon with the sweetest people who care about their customers and even gave us complimentary wine so we could wine down :) so if you want a great experience go to Love Nails right away! read more

We have been a customer here for about 4 months. We have always been very pleased. Usually however it is pretty slow. Today, it was a little busy. I guess that changed everything. Even though I told the person that I and my fiance wanted that we would wait on him. He started trying to shuffle me off on someone else. I said no I want you. They start all speaking to one another in Korean. I said I am the customer. I was here first. They didn't care. My fiancee had already started her pedicure. I must add that guy was doing a terrible job. We finished her substandard pedicure paid and left. We went to another place close by that was awesome. So funny, the terrible pedicure guy stood at the credit card machine after I entered my card, saying "how much"? I said send it ZERO! read more

After having a bad experience at a nearby salon I gave Westchase Nail a try. I went on a Sunday morning shortly after they opened. There were three people working and one other person waiting ahead of me. I did not wait long before I was sat at a station with my feet soaking and my massage chair turned on. I did not have to wait more than 10 minutes or so before it was my turn. My tech was very throrough. I have some rough feet due to a lot of running so my feet aren't pretty. Before my polish was applied I had a sugar scrub applied to my legs below the knee, lotion massage, and a hot towel applied. This was all part of the basic pedicure price, not any upsale. My polish was applied perfectly. I was walked to the dry station and the machine was powered on for me. I was not pushed extra services or rushed to pay immediately. While I was not handed an alcoholic beverage like the other salon, my pedi cost $5 less and included the sugar scrub, lotion massage and hot towel. I would rather have that any day. Westchase nail has definitely become my new place for pedicures. read more
