Made an appointment on line for myself and my daughter. The appointment for my daughter was for a full set of acrylics. I confirmed this before the services began. The nail tech told my daughter that a full set of gel x nails is what she needed, without consulting with me. The price of the gel x nails was significantly higher than what was originally booked. Do not appreciate the way this was handled, as the nail tech should have consulted with me (since my daughter is only 14) due to the price difference. I debated whether or not to write a review because it's not something I usually do, but it has been 24 hours since I got my nails done and I feel like I have to say something. Yesterday, I went in to get a fill-in and while getting my nails done, I noticed that two of them didn't match the rest. I had chosen a neutral color since they were out of the first two colors I picked, which I understood. However, during the process, my service provider kept wiping off the polish due to dust particles and ended up applying five coats to try and hide it. At that point, I couldn't stay silent anymore. I want to clarify that I never blamed the artist, but I was just extremely frustrated and asked if they could remove the color and let me leave as is. When it was time to pay, the manager or owner charged me $45 for the service, even though I left with nails that look like the ones in the photos below. As a small business owner myself, I can't imagine letting a customer walk out of my establishment feeling so disappointed. And to make matters worse, three of my nails have already broken since yesterday. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. read more

Great price for a basic manicure and pedicure. Originally I called Pia's to try to book a next day appointment there. They were already booked the entire day. My friend suggested we try this place, so the next morning I called when they opened to find out if they had space. They said absolutely and were basically available whenever we wanted. I was originally worried this meant that they weren't popular, and thus not good, but that wasn't the case at all. When we arrived almost every seat was taken - it was the weekend before Christmas. We were showed to our stations right away. I noticed there was a short wait half an hour after we showed up. They have a huge array of nail polish. I got a light pink color. My friend went with the dip manicure. It was odd because with my basic manicure I got a hand massage and cuticle plucking whereas her dip, which cost significantly more, mainly got her the color. Hers will probably last a lot longer, but it was just a bit odd. They shape your nails into square, but you can ask for ovals. I think she did a great job. For my pedicure I added on the callous removal for $5 more (so my total was $40 instead of $35.) I'm glad I did. They took a device that looked like a vegetable shredder and scraped at my foot. I was worried it would hurt, but it didn't at all. Instead it removed a ton of dead skin cells. Absolutely worth it. The woman next to us got a coke, but they never asked us if we wanted a drink. Not a big deal, but if you want your free water, make sure you ask for it! For $40 this mani/pedi combo is absolutely worth it. I'm so happy with my nails I might make this a monthly thing. read more

I guess you get what you pay for! I had one of the best pedicures and gel manicures I've ever had, but it came with a price. $83 + tip. I did have a delux pedi but you know what? I'm a Covid nurse and I'm not going to feel guilty about treating myself during this stressful time in my life. Back to the review. I made an appointment yesterday for this afternoon because some places are always super busy. They weren't and could have easily accommodated a walk in, but I'll still make an appointment anyways just in case. Anywho, my pedi was fantastic with hot stones, callus remover (my feet were ready ), and hot towels. I didn't catch the name of my person but she was great! The same person did my gel French mani and she did not disappoint. My hospital kind of frowns at colors so I went old school. My nails haven't looked so good in so long. I feel like Westchase is full of people who CAN pay for quality but I have had the worst time finding an actual salon that offers a consistent quality experience. Until now, when I'm having a home built AWAY from Westchase. Such is life. I am super happy I found this place, and I'll spend the remainder of my six months in the area coming here. I did knock off a star because one of their regulars came in without a mask on and nobody even batted an eye. Obviously except for me. She kept her selfish butt away from me and I'm happy about that. My pedicure was very good. My daughters nails never dried after a manicure. They didn't use the correct top coat on her nails. Three days later they were still denting. Not everyone wants gels, hopefully they will make sure things are done correctly after this review. I will return for my pedicure but will be on the lookout for this problem. For me, I'd rather spend alittle more time and have my nail tech get all of the gel from underneath my nails when painting. According to what they said, A basic will not give you anything but a scrub on the toes and a paint , including the bath. The pumice stones are so gross. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. 1st... If you get dip powder you know that it soaks off completely and then a new set is done. I stopped her before she started filling in on top of the old dip powder and ask her how much she said 40. I explain that if it was 40 she needed to soak it off and do a new set. Seriously!! I didn't like the dip powder colors so I asked for another option they said gel color on top of the dip and now the gel is chipping same day. They also don't appear sanitary I noticed they were just cleaning tools with water in between uses and there was no sanitizing station. Skip this place. read more
