Hanna and Kim are your girls!!! But all are very sweet! Owner Mia great! Love this salon!

I was really happy with my experience. Kim gave me a regular manicure and pedicure, willing to use three different colors. My toes were all pink, while I used another pink and purple to make a funky mani. I felt relaxed and enjoyed the massage chair, specifically the circulation button. Kim shared some stories with me about her country and gave a really great hand massage. I feel this is skipped a lot at other salons, so I really appreciated her effort. I'm from out of town, but my sisters live close. Looking forward to another chance to possibly go back. A must for locals!! read more

Best pedicure of my life! Ok- if you're like me and hate when you get a pedi and it's short and it's someone tickling me or lightly rubbing me. If you want a REAL massage ask for Kim. She does not mess around with her pedicures!!! read more

I love this place. I've been coming here since I've moved to the area in July! The ladies here are all so kind, do a great job, and always get me in for last minute appointments. Also the place is always so clean and they decorate for each holiday which is such a cute touch! Their strawberry pedicure is delightful and I love the paraffin wax!!! Ugh so amazing read more

Came here today with my sister who's a regular and me for the first time. They have plexiglass dividers and curtains, etc. staff were using gloves except for the man who did my nails. It was too late when i noticed. My sister and I both got just regular pedicures but hers was done way better than mine. The lady scrubbed her legs & feet and the guy that did mine just slipped a bunch of steps... I was just observing the whole time but I knew he was doing a terrible job. I just didn't want to say anything because I felt bad. He was using a huge brush to clean the messes. It looked like a paint brush. Maybe he thought my feet was a canvas.. ‍ Anyway - this photo speaks for itself. I can't blame the guy 100% because I think the salon should do a better job training their staff. Do I deserve a refund? 100%. Am I going back HECK NO read more

I have been coming here for a year. I have had excellent service and the prices are very reasonable. I've paid quite a bit more at other salons in the area. I see some bad reviews on here but they are old. The ladies working here have years of experience and give me extra services sometimes at no charge. The owner is a very talented and generous , fair lady just trying to keto her business thriving for her and her girls. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

Modern Nails - There are a month old. Going to get a fill today!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Tampa, Florida

This was an u expected visit. I had my nails done here with a Full acrylic French set in-between my massage appointment I came half an hour too early for. They were super friendly, kind, efficient and did an amazing job. I came back after my massage and they already had shaped the nails before so it was pretty quick to do polish on top and set them. I had a pedicure done as well, I will say it is the little things that count. I noticed her going the extra mile on filing under for shape and little tricks with the white to make it look more elegant and not bleed under the bottom of the nail. I am not habitual to this area, but who knows! I may come back here when I get a massage in a couple weeks when I need them done again. Thank you!! read more

I saw that most of the reviews were pretty old so I decided to give this place a try! I had a great time , my nails came out great and I'm very picky haha . Everybody was very nice and the wait was not long at all! read more

This is the highest quality nail salon in Tampa. It is a lovely atmosphere and the people are so gentle and polite. It is such a luxury to have this nice place near where I am staying. There are plenty of nail salons to choose from, but this is definitely the winner. read more

Super welcoming, gentle and wonderful service. Came in here without looking at any reviews just because I live right across the street, and I left completely satisfied. My nails have never looked this good! Thank you! read more

My favorite place. I travel across town every two weeks just for this place. Love the pedicures, lemon is great ! Love the kind service, music and chairs. read more

8/14 The place is super comfy and clean which sucks because I would love to go back. However after th days my dip looks awful. Great massage chairs too my friend got gel and hers lasted 4 days. 8/16 So I called and spoke with manager. O my discount she offered was not charging me to take dip off. Paid full price for gel to be put on today and it already chipped. I'm so sad. I'll be giving the manager a call tomorrow and seeing what she says now. 8/17 worse! Can't believe it. Modern Nails - Fill-in with design after 2 weeks. - Nail Salons Near Me - Tampa, Florida

They take their time! Great job shaping and even coats. I'm sad I live in Atlanta and won't get to come back for a while

3.5 Stars. Liked it, but didn't love it. On the plus side, the salon seemed to be very clean, and I appreciate that the tools were separately wrapped. They put plastic liners in the pedicure bowls before filling them with water, then remove them after each customer, which is a great way to keep the experience more sanity. I love that they provided a small bottle of water when I asked for it. And when one of the woman could see I couldn't find a color I loved, she showed me some additional ones. I had a gentleman do my pedicure, and while he was very nice, and my toes look good, a) he nipped one of my toes, which resulted in a very sore toe tip for 2 days, and b) he was entirely too rough and too hard on my legs when he was doing the massage. Ouch! Lighten up buddy! Even when I pointed out a bruise I had, he went lighter at first, then gradually was too rough again. Not soothing or relaxing. $25 for the spa pedicure, which seems to be average to the area, but I doubt I'll be a regular. read more

Very cute nail shop! Good prices and they let you know how much everything will be upfront through the brochures. Very good customer service. Coupons for discounted services. Very relaxing layout and decor. Still it's your typical discount nail salon so they will try to get you to get the most expensive services. But ALL of these types of salons do that. They WILL ask, "Do you want gel or regular polish?" And when you ask the difference they will tell you gel lasts longer and you won't have to come back as frequently blah blah. But they won't tell you it's $10 more than regular polish. Remember unless you're super hard on your nails, only get gel if you're getting your natural nails done. Your acrylics will grow out no matter what polish you get so you will still have to come back for a fill-in in a couple weeks. Also you don't have to get a pedicure. You can get a cut down and polish change if that's all you want. In and out on a weekday and early on Saturday. read more

I will definitely not return back to this place, I gave it a try 2 times and both times they did such a terrible job . Modern Nails - It was suppose to be a pink color and soon after I left the salon I got 2 different colors. And she is blaming the nail polish company - Nail Salons Near Me - Tampa, Florida

$45 is now the lease expensive pedicure. This increased price is at least $15-$20 HIGHER than nearby salons. On top of the increase, they charge $1.75 for using a debit/credit card to pay for the new POS system. I won't be returning. read more

I have been a customer here for 4 years. My pedicure yesterday was the worst I have ever had - and he injured my toe by scraping it with the buffer. I had to come home and use antibiotic ointment and a bandage. He was an older gentleman & was TERRIBLE. I paid $45 for a Volcano pedicure that wasn't worth $10. I loved this place, but the quality is gone. read more

RUN AWAY. The worst $8 ever spent on my eyebrows. She couldn't even admit that they were two COMPLETELY different arches. I am never coming back to this place no matter how convenient it is to my house. Terrible quality products (I've gotten acrylics here before) and novice eyebrow threaders who rush and and won't admit their errors. I personally have had a great experience. They take walk in very quickly. I usually go to them as I'm getting groceries near by. I love their waxing technique. Never had I being burned or left with uneven brows shape. They listen and shape them as I request. Their manicure and pedicures are good, I like the cuticle remover they use, it works quickly and doesn't burns. I usually use OPI infinite shine because it dries quickly and last the entire week without chipping. It's comparable to cnd vinylux. Nice nails without the hassle of coming back to get it removed. read more

On Sunday I went in looking for a liquid gel full set. The wait was not long and I was helped, but during the process the woman did it wrong. She didn't cut back cuticles or lay down a base layer/primer for the gel nails. Now two days later they are lifting up. She ground down my nails very thin as if she was applying acrylic and then put the gel on. While she was setting the gel on I continually asked her to reach the edges of my nails but she did not and ended up filing part of the edges of my natural nails inward to match the width of the gel nails. I asked for square nails and essentially have polygon nails. This made my gel nails look like little teeth sitting on top of my real nail, which you can see my real nail on both sides of the gel nail. When I pointed out that some of the shapes were inconsistent from the real nail she reapplied extra gel but the edges ended up so gagged they caught on the fabric of my clothing and have chipped/broken off now. Not to mention since she ground my nails down so thin I had to purchase a nail restore kit for the exposed nails. The thickness of each nail is inconsistent as well as the length. This is beyond the worst nail service I've ever gotten, and not to mention a complete rip off. They changed $65 for the gel nails and an additional $10 to add glitter to my thumb and ring finger nails. I wouldn't be upset with the price if the quality matched it, but it simply doesn't. At all. Not even close. When I paid for the service she stared at me for an uncomfortable several seconds to ensure she would receive a tip. I'm beyond livid with this experience. read more

This place is awesome! I came in needing my nails done last minute for a wedding and they were the only local place open late enough for me to come after work. Not only did they stay open later to finish up with me, but they also did an amazing job. Great attention to detail and they didn't rush to get me out the door just because they were closing. Very glad to call them neighbors and I will definitely be back! :) read more

This place is hit or miss & most times I've been there it's a miss! I've been about 10 times and was only in love with my nails after a mani/pedi once. Crazy part is the one time I was in love with my nails, the chick who did them isn't there any more. Mai has her daughter, her daughter's boyfriend, & a few other relatives working there. She Mai is very phony and pretends she cares but in reality she caters to her clientele & could careless about the results from her staff. If I could give them a negative 10 stars then I would because the results are horrible. I like la point shaped nail & just let me show you the results of her daughter who I've heard Mai say doesn't do acrylic but expects me to feel comfortable with her doing my nails. Just went & spent $65 dollars for a mani/pedi on this crap! What a waste of time & money on a $40 Full set & $25 pedicure. read more

I have been going to Modern Nails on and off for a few years. Recently they renovated and it's nice inside, but they are terrible about appointments. I have called to schedule appointments hours in advance, and yet when I get there I still have to wait. Today, I called to ask if they had any availability and asked when I should come and they said, "Come now- we have available" and she took my name as if making an appointment, so I went right then. I live across the street so it wasn't more than a few minutes but when I walked in there were FOUR women in line that I was behind and none of the workers were available. This isn't the first time this has happened and last time I did get my nails done there, they did something similar to someone who they told to come but didn't have anyone available and that woman left angry too... why tell us to come if you're too busy?! Or why not hire more workers? They never have all the chairs full! Oh well, I officially give up on this place. read more
