With my pedicure, I have a couple of preferences, like no drill on the gel toes. This seemed to cause them to have feelings they had to file my toes. They seem to have just a handful of staff members, so walk ins could be a challenge. It felt a little chaotic at first. They tried to separate my friend and I who made our appts together: one at the table, one in the pedi chair. After clarifying we want to be together, they allowed it. Overall, my nails look great. I was lucky enough to be seated with Malinda, and she was a joy from the very beginning! Warm smile, super friendly, and just easy to talk to. I wanted to do something a little different this time and go for a fall tone, and she helped me pick the perfect shade of brown. She even suggested adding a glass finish to give it a little extra pop and tested it on one nail first to make sure I liked it. The woman is truly an artist! My nails now look like the ultimate hot cocoa! I couldn't be happier and will definitely be asking for Melinda again. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and directed to select our polishes. They were able to immediately seat us in the pedicure chairs and have a staff member work on us right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive, checking in to make sure we got the manicures and pedicures we wanted. The pedicure was very typical to what you'd expect at any other nail salon, finished with hot towels wrapped around your shins. Tools they used were clean, and they had great attention to detail. I wasn't a fan of the massage chair, as it felt very weak and beeped every time I pressed a button. Wasn't awful, but I've experienced better. There's plenty of magazines to read and also a live television to watch while you are waiting (the local news was on when I was in). Purity Nails advertises their gift certificates, but those expire 6 months after purchase. If you end up getting one, I'd highly recommend paying very close attention to the expiration date! Their prices are great. They have three tiers of manicures and pedicures. At the lowest level, you can get a regular manicure for $12 and a spa pedicure for $22. I'm pretty sure there's a discount for the women's manicure and pedicure ($32 for the combo, but don't quote me on that). I only say that because a men's manicure and pedicure is $35, and the men's spa pedicure a la carte is $25 instead of $22 for women's. Good value, will return for nail services when I'm in town!

As for the actual service, I liked the pedicure. I got the Wellness Pedicure, which included a foot bath, foot scrub, paraffin wax, and a foot massage. The nail technician did an excellent job as I was relaxed during the entire time. For the manicure, I got white gel squoval nails. The nail technician was able to get my nails to the straight and pristine squoval shape with my natural nails, despite my nails being short to begin with. The service was fast and efficient. Plus, the nail technician even cleaned up stray and bleeding paint lines. Overall, I liked every part of my experience at Vivian's Nails except for the waiting.
