I spoke to him on the phone and requested an experienced tech not someone in training because I am very particular. The nail tech that was assigned to me was not experienced but I still allowed her to attempt to do my nails. I didn't have any nails because I just removed my acrylic nails before I relocated. I asked for square shape and she gave me round which filed down the little nails I had. As I questioned him can he assist her he was you can leave and don't pay. I said no, you or someone will fix the nails and I will be paying for the service that was given. She didn't know how to polish and he refused to do it himself. He was the only person available. Another nail tech polished my nails and shaped them with as best as she could with the gel polish on. I paid my $40 and left and even gave each of them a tip. However, I will never return there for service again.

Fast forward a week: my toes are chipping all around my toes which is something I never experienced within a week of getting them done. And one of my finger nails was splitting in half. I went the following morning as soon as they opened to avoid appointments etc. I was basically dismissed because I didn't have an appointment although their sign says "walk ins welcome". Instead of taking the dip completely off and starting over she decided to just put more dip on top. Which, I asked her why considering my nail was split underneath. Her response was that she does it like this all the time. Well, 3 days later, my nail fully split in the middle of the nail bed. This was an additional 4 days of pain that could have been avoided had they just fixed them correctly. I won't be coming back here.

Cindy always put up with my insane requests and has the most incredible talent and precision for intricate designs. I truly have never and never will meet anyone as gifted at doing nails as she is. She's done everything for me from glow-in-the-dark nails, holiday designs, my quirky pintrest designs and even putting up with me when I change colors in the middle of our session. Over the last five years this place became my family. Thai, Tom and Cindy did nothing but make me feel welcome and made me feel like family. When you come to Hollywood nails you aren't just getting your nails done, you're making connections and friendships that will last and even if you only come in once a month to get a dip fill in they will never forget your name or who you are! This place doesn't get nearly enough traffic as it should but the talent and customer service is so high end and there that I expect them to be packed one day!!! Even after moving away, when I come to town and visit it is nothing but smiles and warm welcomes like Im reuniting with family. Every staff member has remarkable talent and kindness. She started with taking my gel off nails, then sat me down to get my pedicure started. Everything went well. She finished and took me to my seat to start on my manicure. As she was finishing my cuticles, she nicked me. You could clearly see the cut, I went to wash my hands and saw that it was now bleeding. I sit down and tell her she cut me, she apologizes profusely and cleans it up and proceeds to finish my manicure. I know she didn't mean it; however, I think this will be my last time here.

Decided last minute that I wanted a pedicure. I called to make sure they take walk-ins, and they…read moresaid it is appointment only for today, no problem I made an appointment for an hour later. The pedicure itself was nice, I got the lemon drop pedicure which was $40 plus the shellac, in total with a 20% tip I paid $72. The guy who did my pedicure was thorough and did a really good job at rubbing my feet and legs as well as a good job on the shellac polish. (And I have small toes so I preach anyone that can paint them & make it look nice.) There were 10 pedicure chairs and about 8-10 manicure chairs as well as a little bar that served wine. The inside was clean upon entering. The only complaint I had is that during the middle of my pedicure, the guy left me in the chair with cold towels on my legs to go take polish off another woman's hands. He did not wash his hands in between which is kinda gross. I would probably return here if I'm in the area again, just some things to be aware of if you are in a hurry or are worried about consistency.
