Only place I'll go to have my nails done, they're the best! I've been going to Nancy (her and her husband, Harry, are the owners) since they opened and we've become friends. I trust her and receive compliments on my nails constantly. They're dedicated, attentive, and make your visit fun! They offer great color choices and keep them updated to stay with the styles. I don't put decorations on my nails but I've seen some they've done and they're gorgeous. Only downfall is they don't accept cash but they have that posted and they have an ATM machine in their establishment for your convenience. I went to the studio salon over memorial Day weekend to get a manicure pedicure. The technician was super sweet and I gave him a great tip. My problem didn't begin until once I got home. I only got clear on my hands and Jack them up on my own due to crab eating. Not the salons fault, but two days later my toenail polish is beginning to Chip and as I look at it the Polish is super thin and I'm 99% sure there's no top coat. I've never had a pedicure not last at least a week. The manicure pedicure combo was $45. I would even blame myself if I had made it to the beach in hot sand hit my nails, but that wasn't even the case. this is is too much money to spend not to even get a week out of your pedicure. so just to make sure it wasn't an anomaly my friend also got a manicure pedicure and is having the same experience. The search for a salon that does acrylics in the OC area has been a struggle. That appears will continue after a visit to K K 2000 Nail salon. The owners/employees young children seem to derive the most pleasure from this establishment as they clearly have the run of the place as if it's a playground. Including bumping into the work stations. Adult customers are treated to dirty work stations, ripped leather seating (on ALL chairs), and an overpowering stench of incense. The fees are cheap (bring cold hard cash as they do take plastic. IMO this should be a huge red flag for income reporting.) which matches the ambience and décor. Customer service is fast and sloppy. Also little regard for taking clients in the order in which they arrive. I have no idea why anyone would patronize this business more than once if at all. Deal with the summer traffic and head into OC. read more

Family-owned business in a shopping center near Ocean Pines. Inside was well-organized and clean. There is a small chair there for pedicures for children. I let my manicurist (the owner?) choose between two colors for my nails and the design. I went late on a Saturday Labor Day weekend and there was little wait. That night I chipped my nail polish falling down a flight of concrete stairs (whoops) and they fixed up my battered and scraped pinkie nail free of charge. My girl, forgive me, I don't know her name so that's not helpful, but she was decent, except she didn't take any time with my pedicure. It was not relaxing at all. I waited like 10 mins In cold water before I Finally asked to have hot water in there. I mean if I'm going to be sitting there, you know. There was a kid in there doing his summer job duties named johnny, and all I wanna say is #poorjohnny. I don't think he will be returning to work with his bro and sisters again next summer. Customer service is HORRIBLE! Staff was very rude to my daughter and rude to my Mother in law. My daughter had her nail filed to the skin and began to bleed. She pulled her hand away and technician pulled her hand back and told her to stop. He talked to her in demeaning tone the entire manicure. Mother in law had a similar experience. Staff needs to treat their customers with more respect and understanding and keep in mind the age of the person they are dealing with!! We will never be back it was an overall horrible experience. Horrible customer service!! I went in at 3pm and ask what time they closed to make sure I can make it after visiting the beach. They informed me 6:30 and nothing else. I hurried and left the beach in time to shower and get there 20mins before close and was informed they will not be taking anymore clients. They also have no "close time" on their door it says 10:00 - 00. Therefore they can make up whatever time they want to close, and deny whoever. If they were to inform me at 3 that they close at 6:30 but stop taking clients at 6 then I could've saved myself some time and enjoyed more time at the bech. He even gave me advice on how my nail tech back home filed my nails too narrow and to let him know that it should be a bit more thicker to avoid future nail breaks. I've been getting my nails done by Tiffany for about a year now. I've always had a positive experience here with no issues. I work long hours with my hands and I have long acrylic nails. I've only had them break in extreme situations (Ex. My hand was stepped on.) I noticed a couple people were complaining about wait times, and I would just like to point out that this is what happens when you're dealing with the best! I recommend making an appointment whenever possible if waiting is that big of an issue. I personally won't go anywhere else but to kk 2000. read more

There was a time when I probably would have given KK four or five stars. After my last (and I do mean my FINAL) experience with them, KK gets one star from me. I've been going to KK 2000 for almost ten years. The service here used to be friendly, Harry and Nancy and their staff took pride and care in the services they provided, and I always felt welcome. However, in recent years, since KK has gained popularity and profit, the quality of their customer service as well as their craftsmanship has gone down the tube. They seem to care more about quantity rather than quality; the more women they can get in and out the door, the better. A couple weeks ago, I had to come in to have a repair done on one of my acrylics. The nail had cracked and needed to be filled and smoothed. Harry, one of KK's owners, did a quick-and-dirty job on my nail-- he seemed to be in much too much of a hurry to pay any attention to what he was doing and I left with a terrible-looking nail. I later called to tell Harry that his work wasn't up to snuff, and instead of treating me like a long-time, valued customer, he proceeded to tell me everything he did was perfect and he shouldn't have to fix it, but he eventually agreed to let me come in and have it repaired. After being treated like that, I refuse to go back to KK. I will find a nail salon that actually cares about its customers instead of seeing each of us as walking dollar signs. read more

I waited 2 weeks to do this review because I wanted to see how it lasted. First off, my adult daughter and I went for a mani pedi for her and a pedi and acrylic fill for me. This was the only salon in the area that did acrylics. Both my daughter I were unimpressed with the pedicures. Both techs were more interested in watching the TV that was BEHIND them, than in doing a good job. My daughter's pedi took less than mine and the tech barely did a trim on her nails. The massage for both of us were barely a rub. Disappointing. My daughter's mani was also just ok. The tech did not put the polish as close to the cuticle at the time and a week later it looked like she needed to be redone. My fill was not that great. The nails are bumpy and uneven. A week after I was there, the gel polish was breaking off one nail. The polish does not go to the edge of the nails side to side. I think my biggest complaint was the price. I was so shocked that I didn't even ask for a breakdown, but I should have. They have a price range for all services, not a set fee. I have been there one other time for just the fill and had a better experience, but this time was aggravating, especially about the TV. read more

This place is filthy dirty. I have been there several times trying my hardest to give the benefit of doubt, and it just gets worse. Yes, the owners are nice, but run a terrible business. Young daughter is very disrespectfull. She is the one who wraps nails to take off gel, but did not buff off top coat. After sitting for 1/2 hour, polish still did not come off and nail tech begins to use power tools and scrapes vigorously. Application of new gel polish was very bad and 3 days later is beginning to come up. I questioned every step of the process, but to no avail. Ladies coming in for eyebrow wax sit in a dirty chair and allow someone who just rinsed hands to apply. After telling us they had time for 3 pedicures, it became obvious that they did not have 3 technicians available. They sat us down and we all had our feet in our tubs but no one came to my chair. I sat there with my feet in the tub and no one said or did anything to indicate they were going to start on my toes. The water became cold after 20 minutes and i had to ask them to refill it. Once my friends moved on to their manicures, I decided enough was enough. Finally I just got up, asked for a towel and said I would wait in the front. Only then did they try to move people around to start my pedicure. We recently moved to the area and could have become regulars but we will take our business elsewhere. read more

I had a new girl that was an apprentice. She did a good job on my nails and really took her time. However she cut me and used a dirty towel to wipe it off. She did use anticeptic which probably saved me from infection. The french manicure starting coming off in chunks later the same day and was completely off by the following day. I have never seen nail polish do this. They must use products that are poor in quality. I also think the buffers used for pedicures and manicures were used over and over. honestly so upset. i wanted to go get my nails done for my birthday and showed them the picture of what i wanted and didn't get that at all. everytime i told the guy to fix something because that's not what i asked for he said it was fine...then i told him how i work in a restaurant so i don't want my nails to be long and they didn't get shortened! paint job is horrible, have paint all around my nails, so upset, waste of my money, about to just take them off read more
