Needed to be rid of my "quarantine nails" so I decided to book an appointment with Harry after reading positive reviews about the salon and his nail designs. It's a family owned salon and they make you feel right at home. They actually speak to you and engage in funny conversation. I got a good gel mani with acrylic full set and cool design. I love it. Will definitely return next time I'm in OC!

Worst experience I've had at a nail salon ! Never get dip powder here not worth the money not educated on how to properly do it !! My nails looked horrible...

I went to the studio salon over memorial Day weekend to get a manicure pedicure. The technician was super sweet and I gave him a great tip. My problem didn't begin until once I got home. I only got clear on my hands and Jack them up on my own due to crab eating. Not the salons fault, but two days later my toenail polish is beginning to Chip and as I look at it the Polish is super thin and I'm 99% sure there's no top coat. I've never had a pedicure not last at least a week. The manicure pedicure combo was $45. I would even blame myself if I had made it to the beach in hot sand hit my nails, but that wasn't even the case. this is is too much money to spend not to even get a week out of your pedicure. so just to make sure it wasn't an anomaly my friend also got a manicure pedicure and is having the same experience. We won't be coming back

Literally sucks didn't put any top coat gel product on my nails my polish is streaky and my nails are all different shapes. Love the color obviously because I picked it but everything else was terrible

Never in my life have I EVER had such a nail experience. I have gotten my nails done in NYC, NJ, PA, CA, CT and more..... This place is just extraordinary. The patience, the professionality, the efficiency and the excellent service are only the beginning. They were so sweet to my kids with endless compassion and tolerance. The artistry, creativity, love and intelligence by which they perform their job is remarkable. I would come here any day over any nail salon I have ever been to in my life.

Nails done by (I'm assuming) the owner - 2.5 weeks later. Very durable. I work a lot with tape in my job and no chips. This is gel.

Family-owned business in a shopping center near Ocean Pines. Inside was well-organized and clean. There is a small chair there for pedicures for children. I let my manicurist (the owner?) choose between two colors for my nails and the design. I went late on a Saturday Labor Day weekend and there was little wait. That night I chipped my nail polish falling down a flight of concrete stairs (whoops) and they fixed up my battered and scraped pinkie nail free of charge. Very friendly place and a high-quality manicure for a very very decent price. The picture is 2.5 weeks after I had it done.

love this place! they take walk ins and its never a long wait. i like to get the pink acrylic powder so i dont have to worry about polish changing or chipping and they do a fantastic job always on point!

I always get my nails done here and have great luck every time. The family is so sweet and the prices are great! Nails usually last 3 or so weeks. One of the few people I trust to give a general idea and let them fly with it, and they always kill it!

This was a typical strip mall nail shop. Didn't offer drinks, no relaxing spa music or atmosphere, a get them in and out experience.

You can look for that review elsewhere if you want. I was ecstatic that Becky was still here as she was my hairstylist for at least 6 years prior to The Shutdown. I found her after my other stylist moved to up state NY. I can't travel there to get my haircut. But I can travel to Ocean Pines when visiting OC. Don't be put off by the look of business sign (needs some sprucing up) or the exterior as the stylists inside are wonderful, professional and talented group, many have been there for years. I personally go to Becky Ange and from the 1st visit years ago to today, she listens, knows how you look when you walk in & works with you & what you want, either a huge change or keep what you have, but just improve it. My hair always looks beautiful and I always leave feeling so good about myself. I went back to her today as I was tired of cutting it myself & my attempt to find someone closer to home did not work out well & I desperately needed her & ONLY her to fix a bad haircut. Its hard to change hairstylists or feel comfortable. I Walked out today happy & confident.

I saw Amanda post on a local Facebook page; I liked her work & made an appointment. She is excellent! I've since been back a few times. She listens to what I want in a haircut & adjusted my color until I was satisfied. The prices are higher than NJ, but good work is worth it.

The team was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient -- they got me in and out right within the time I expected, which I really appreciated. My pedicure was done perfectly and the attention to detail really stood out. They were also thoughtful about the little extras that make the experience more relaxing, like the comfortable chair, the heated neck wrap, and the overall clean, well-run environment. What impressed me most was how attentive and communicative the staff were. They made sure they understood exactly what I wanted and checked in along the way, which made the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. If you're looking for a nail salon that's professional, friendly, and respectful of your time while still delivering great quality, I highly recommend La Vie Nails. Five stars from me!

This place is an upgraded chop shop…read more The services for me & my husband were booked as a Deluxe Pedicure & a Classic Muanicure with a gel polish for me. Typically this should take one hour for each individual service for a total of 2 hours. Total service time for both services at this "spa": 1 hour which includes a brief restroom break for me during my manicure because I had to stop in the middle since I was so frustrated. First off, the place is filthy and unsanitary. What I witnessed was hugely disturbing. * Pedicure chair foot rest was dirty & the small table where tools & lotions were placed throughout our service was filthy & not cleaned between clients. * Tech placed some sort of filter for the pedicure water tub while we were seated & then removed to place on the same table with the tools & lotions that were being on us. * Tools used for my pedi while in an autoclave sleeve were not unsealed in front of me & the sleeve was actually not sealed. I didn't see my husband's tools. I'm hesitant to say if they were actually sanitized for each client. * After the pedi, the cuticle clippers were slipped inside the autoclave sleeve after a brief wipe with some sort of solution & a cotton square. Cuticle pusher & nail clippers were not cleaned but also placed inside the sleeve which had never been sealed and processed. It was more used as a tote for the tools. * Drill was used on natural nail beds-both hands and feet-in an effort to first remove cuticle & across the entire nail bed! No buffer nor cuticle pusher was used and most importantly NO cuticle remover was used to soften the cuticle before removal.. Basically the approach is to remove dry skin via the drill! * The drill itself was filthy covered in nail dust from prior clients. * Both me & my husband experienced cuticle cuts on toes and hands by sloppy work. These were treated with an antiseptic in a dropper which thankfully didn't come in contact with us! No comment made by techs when this occurred. We came home to apply some Neosporin. * Nail files & buffers were not single use and had been used on other clients prior to us. * Some sort of cheese grater device used for callus removal on feet which wasn't sanitized. It was within a plastic tote which was sitting between me and a stranger at the pedi station. Used on my feet & returned to the tote without any sort of cleaning which also had a bunch of tools & other things Inside. My husband experienced the same mysterious grater type device removed from a different tote which also wasn't sanitized. * Towels used throughout servics were threadbare, stained and edges unraveling. Pedicure took less than 30 minutes & I'd estimate our feet were in the water no longer than 10 minutes via dipping in and out vs. a static soak which is impossible to soften cuticles and calluses. By the time we transitioned to the mani station I was ready to walk out. I had existing gel polish which needed to be removed and was lifting. I stated that at the beginning of the services in the pedi area. This was not soaked during the pedi. At the mani station, the first attempt to remove was grinding with the drill. When I objected, the nail tech chose to use his own bare fingernail to attempt to lift the remaining polish & then tried to grind off with the drill what was left. I pulled back several times when this was attempted since I haven't used a drill to ever remove gel polish & know this was damaging my nail beds.I then requested specifically to soak with acetone which typically takes 20 minutes. The tech did accommodate however the acetone was on maybe 5 minutes so it didn't come off as easy as a required 15-20 minute soak which should have been performed during my pedi. All buffing etc. was still performed with the drill. I requested to take a break to go to the restroom during my manicure & returned to request a change to just a file and buff of my natural nails because I was so hugely disappointed in the service & cleanliness. The tech was nice about it since he could tell I was visibly upset. The use of drills on natural nails is a clear indicator the techs are lazy & focused more on speed of service & most importantly this damages your client's nails! Services stated in the menu that weren't received for our pedis: no neck wrap, no warm eye mask, minimal time in the water, & massage was maybe 5 minutes. My manicure took maybe 15-20 minutes since I cut it short to walk out with just bare nails after all this nonsense. My husband & I get mani/pedis every two weeks for the last 20 years & have recently relocated from DC. Yes our bar is high for service; but I won't compromise on cleanliness & sanitation. The prices at this business are outrageous for the service & the cleanliness & sanitation need to be addressed immediately. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. We won't be returning & I'll let everyone know who asks that I don't trust their sanitation practices.
