I am in the process of moving, so decided to check out Salon 16 because I was in desperate need of a highlight and hair cut. I was very skeptical and apprehensive in having someone else do my hair, as mentioned I've been seeing the same woman for years. I am also very particular about my blonde hair, the toning/conditioning treatment, and all the fine toothing things that comes with bright blonde hair. I read amazing reviews about Salon 16 online and they were spot on. First off-Stephanie is amazing. Not just an amazing hair stylist, but incredibly friendly and personable; I really enjoyed talking with her for a couple of hours. I told her exactly what I wanted and she delivered! I had just about a full highlight, rounded long layer cut, toner, and a conditioning treatment. My hair came out absolutely beautiful and healthy. No brass, no yellow, no damage, and no over processing. It's really just perfect. Again, this was the first person to touch my hair aside from my normal hair dresser and I was blown away. The best part? It was leas than half of what I paid in Richmond. Normally I get the same services for a little over $400 with tip. $190 at Salon 16 and just a fantastic of a job. I highly recommended this salon and Stephanie if you are particular, have blonde hair, or on the fence about visiting...just go! 10/10

Cheyne also has a very client-first approach: he suggested multiple jewelry options, including some that were less expensive than the one I preferred, and even offered recommendations for other piercers if I could not find exactly what I wanted at his shop that day. This demonstrated that his priority is helping the clients achieve the best piercing, not just making a sale. Tradecraft is the only piercing studio in the area I have found with high quality jewelry and high quality piercers. Go get poked here!

I go to Becky and my husband goes to Susie. Great communication. Both stylists are excellent. Many salons in the area are full of the drama of the Eastern Shore. NOT Headlines! It's as professional a salon as over the Bay Bridge. I would recommend them to anyone in the OC area. read more

I have been going there monthly since 2015 and walk out of that shop feeling like a million after every visit. They are a full service salon and I get color every 4-5 weeks with a cut done by Katie. I also get brow, lip waxing. The shop itself is immaculate and homey, the staff friendly and welcoming. As a transplant from NY, I find them very reasonable regarding their pricing and I love all of the products they use and sell. They are all up to date with newest trends and styles. I ended up having 4 or 5 foils of lowlights (same color as the base color to ensure the base color would blend into my hair well on the top of my head.) I did not have a blow out or haircut. All seemed fine until I went to pay. With a tip my bill was over $300. I was so shocked!!!! I was standing there with wet hair being told that I was being charged that amount when I've never ever been charged more that $125 for the same services for any shop I've gone to in 30 years. The operator said it was because I had thick hair which would be true but never have I been charged more because of it; it was never discussed that the operator had dropped my bowl with the color on the floor and had to refill the color bowl. I politely paid my bill and left in total disbelief. Note... I did leave a message with the shop and after quite a delay the owner left me a message on my phone saying that she accidentally overcharged me by $60.00. Even if you reduced my bill by $60, the cost for services rendered was extremely high... I absolutely would never go back to this salon!!!!

I asked SEVERAL times if they do boys' haircuts and was told several times that they absolutely do. The girl who cut his hair, Laura, reassured me over and over that she does boys' cuts "all the time" but yet did not know what a skin fade was. I should have stopped her right then and there and taken him elsewhere but gave her the benefit of the doubt. I had to stand over her the entire time trying to get her to even out his hair and she kept switching tools literally every 10 seconds from straight razor to scissors to clippers with guard to smaller clippers etc etc. It was very clear she did not know how to do a boys cut from the beginning. All she had to say when we walked in and asked if they do boys hair was "no I'm sorry we really don't" and I would have thanked them and gone elsewhere. Don't say you can do a certain cut if you very obviously have absolutely no idea what you are doing. She did not shave any of the hairs on his neck and still had long hairs over his ears. I am completely in shock at how this can even happen at an establishment. I am so upset and the worst part is that they charged $25 for what should have been a 5 minute cut! She didn't even have to touch the top because we are growing it out!! Now I have to try and get him to his regular barber the night before school starts when we get home from vacation and pray they are able to fix this mess. I am hurt that someone has no issue doing this instead or just being honest. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I wrote this review to save the next boy from getting a botched up hair cut. The picture doesn't even fully show how uneven and not faded it is. It looks even worse in person!! My poor little guy

I had been going to this salon Selbyville location because it was close to my house, but unfortunately, my experiences with nail tech Anara were constantly disappointing. My gel nails were often uneven, bumpy and wavy. I gave polite feedback so she could fix them next time, but the quality didn't improve much. After only 3 visits, I booked another appointment with a different nail tech and next day it got cancelled and the salon blocked me from booking and left a voicemail saying I was "not a match" for them. Shockingly Anara also texted me stating that the "quality here is low and they can't meet my expectations". Additionally I just found out that a friand of mine had her nails done by Anara 4 months ago and developed an infection after her cuticles were cut improperly. And now my sister who also went here, has decided to stop. If you care about quality work, safety and respectful service, look elsewhere.
