The technician brought me two books and a "wheel" of colors, and you could tell the polish was fresh. 2. The shop is VERY clean, from the floors to the tools. The technician used a plastic liner in the pedicure tub as well. 3. My technician was cordial, efficient, and knew what she was doing. And she even gave me three layers of the gel polish, which is not standard in most salons. 4. It's been a week+ since my mani/pedi and the polish still looks flawless. I've done all my usual housework, cooking, keyboarding, etc. No chips, scratches, etc. 5. I thought the prices were reasonable, and I like that Aria can take Venmo as a payment method. Two things that I did not care for: I was in-and-out of the salon in an hour. In my experience, a gel manicure alone takes at least 45 minutes. Yes, this is the efficient part, but it was jarring to have the mani/pedi finish up SO FAST. It made me feel rushed and not as relaxed as I would have liked. While the salon is clean, it's oddly messy/disorganized. There are random boxes, towels, and other stuff scattered around the salon. This may not matter to some people, but a little tidying up would help.

The online booking system is convenient, but multiple times I scheduled appointments specifically with Mike (who is great!), only to arrive and be assigned to someone else. On top of that, my gel nails began peeling and cracking within a week when another tech did them, which should not happen with quality work. To avoid further issues, I booked my appointment days in advance and only with Mike as selected tech and even called the morning of to confirm both the time and that Mike would be available. Despite doing everything correctly on my end, I arrived 7 mins early for my 4:45 appointment only to find the salon already behind schedule with walk-ins. I was then told Mike would not be available until 5:30 -- 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The owner, Ivy, eventually called me back 5 mins later and suggested I return later or have another technician come from their Millville location. Unfortunately, after already leaving work early and driving there, that was not a realistic solution. I understand that unexpected delays happen, but repeatedly prioritizing walk-ins over scheduled appointments is frustrating and unprofessional. The inconsistency in both customer service and nail quality has made it difficult for me to continue supporting this salon.

Don't be put off by the look of business sign (needs some sprucing up) or the exterior as the stylists inside are wonderful, professional and talented group, many have been there for years. I personally go to Becky Ange and from the 1st visit years ago to today, she listens, knows how you look when you walk in & works with you & what you want, either a huge change or keep what you have, but just improve it. My hair always looks beautiful and I always leave feeling so good about myself. I went back to her today as I was tired of cutting it myself & my attempt to find someone closer to home did not work out well & I desperately needed her & ONLY her to fix a bad haircut. Its hard to change hairstylists or feel comfortable. I Walked out today happy & confident.

I should have stopped her right then and there and taken him elsewhere but gave her the benefit of the doubt. I had to stand over her the entire time trying to get her to even out his hair and she kept switching tools literally every 10 seconds from straight razor to scissors to clippers with guard to smaller clippers etc etc. It was very clear she did not know how to do a boys cut from the beginning. All she had to say when we walked in and asked if they do boys hair was "no I'm sorry we really don't" and I would have thanked them and gone elsewhere. Don't say you can do a certain cut if you very obviously have absolutely no idea what you are doing. She did not shave any of the hairs on his neck and still had long hairs over his ears. I am completely in shock at how this can even happen at an establishment. I am so upset and the worst part is that they charged $25 for what should have been a 5 minute cut! She didn't even have to touch the top because we are growing it out!! Now I have to try and get him to his regular barber the night before school starts when we get home from vacation and pray they are able to fix this mess. I am hurt that someone has no issue doing this instead or just being honest. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I wrote this review to save the next boy from getting a botched up hair cut. I came in for an acrylic fill, and they took the time to explain a different technique they use. It's still acrylic, just not the traditional powder method, and I appreciated how thoughtful they were about my cuticles and the length, since they had grown out quite a bit. They also made sure the shape worked well with the condition my nails were in. The entire experience was very pleasant, right down to the hot hand towels.
