Stacey made my massage experience not only relaxing, but also healing. Kait paid such close attention to detail with my pedicure that I left with feet that felt pampered and young again. The front desk staff not only knew their job really well, but also greeted us cheerfully and had some amazing water for us. do not recommend for nails. i was told i couldn't have gel because they have been getting negative feedback regarding the nail tech... not a great start polish came out uneven and looks like i did it myself. the tech had a good attitude, but if they have been getting negative reviews you would think they would do something about it, instead of having another unhappy customer. giving two stars instead of one because i did have a great massage with lawrence and he is amazing! read more

Just do not go here. I know it seems convenient and you're on vacation blah blah blah. But as a local we have gone and like I said just don't go here. The problem with the place is that it's two stories and if you're getting a massage on the first floor all you hear is people walking above you. I had a massage there recently and I did not notice it to be quite as bad in the past so I was prepared to say that just one or two rooms were that way, my room just recently, but a very rude girl at the front desk when I attempted to voice my concern told me that's how the whole place was. So if that's the case really just do not go here. Moreover attempted to explain how terrible my massage was and I was going to point out what could've made it much better but instead again the girl at the front desk was so very rude and dismissive. I get that everyone's doing the best they can these days but I think when you're paying us essential amount of money to have with someone consider to be a luxury service you could at least be met with a friendly voice and a listening ear. Don't go here. Service is key and their front desk has none. Not to mention the noise. read more

I decided to try Zen spa last week for a spa day. I have done a lot of spa days so I thought the price was a little on the higher end. That was fine though because I was really wanting to be pampered. I had an aloe body wrap and facial. The facial was awesome but a little fast even though it was supposed to be 30 minutes it was more like 20. Secondly my body treatment was a lot of money but was nothing more than being rubbed down with aloe. It was supposed to include a neck and scalp massage which was not done. Overall it was a nice day but definitely not worth the money my husband paid. I did enjoy the girl who did the services. Just wish she was a little more detail oriented. read more

Today was my first appointment at Zen with Valerie for waxing. She was very friendly and did a great job. The spa is in an old house and I really liked the way it was repurposed as a spa. Very tastefully decorated. The staff spoke softly so not to interrupt other sessions. The waxing session was $30 more than I normally spend but I don't go that frequently and I really like it at Zen Spa so I'm sure I'll return. read more

In the past, I have enjoyed my massages at Zen Spa with Brian, who mysteriously disappeared. No one will tell me what happened to him. But this past week, I was disappointed with my experience there. First, I waited 10 minutes before asking if the therapist knew I was there (and I had previously checked in). The receptionist got up and brought him, and he said he didn't know I was coming. So communication is not great here. Who knows how long I would have waited if I hadn't spoken up. Although the massage itself was fine, the noise outside the room was not. There was a lot of loud cackling and "Oh Shit!" for about 10 minutes, which made it hard to relax. Finally, the massage therapist left and asked the offenders to quiet down. Did they? No! The noise continued for a few more minutes. It was obvious that the cackling staff did not care about maintaining a quiet environment for the customers. So as I was leaving and the receptionist asked me how it went, I told her about the noise. She disappeared and came back with an offer of 10 percent discount. Ok. But then I mentioned that the noise continued even massage therapist asked them to quiet down, and she looked mortified. She returned with the owner who took a defensive position and proceeded to justify the noise with an explanation of the building and a noisy sales rep. The receptionist was more sympathetic then the owner. So customer service is not the primary goal. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I had a massage scheduled for our vacation this week, have been looking forward to it all week. They call me 2 hours before the massage cancelling for "medical reasons". Nothing they can do to compensate, did not offer to schedule us in before we go home. Although she didn't ask, the pressure was great throughout and she spent a good amount of time on my arms and legs vs my back, which I am not usually accustomed to, but welcomed. A very relaxing experience overall and I would recommend Julie. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin in the massage room and I could here everyone in the hallway walking by and talking. read more

Wow! This is a fantastic place to go relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. They have a beautiful and large space that feels like a you're being transported back to a time when life was slower. My wife received a pedicure and hot stone massage while I was treated to a 75 minute hot stone massage. Sarah was amazing and I didn't want my massage to end. She made me totally relaxed and I just melted into the table. Both my wife and I were incredibly impressed by the friendly, genuine staff and their obvious love for what they do. A friend booked us massages here while see were in town and they didn't disappoint. The spa is unique in its style, I guess it's a old house, very large and nicely decorated. Great gift shop area. I had a massage by Mark and he was incredibly professional and very good masseuse. He worked on an SI joint issue I had with the knowledge of my PT, I was very impressed. Couple of my friends had the hydro facial and said it was amazing and done very well. Would definitely go back next time. Only complaint is Front desk is little slow. My only complaint is that the front desk staff is consistently unfriendly and make you feel you are highly inconveniencing them. It's weird and uncomfortable. I had a CBD massage which was very relaxing and helped my back which had been aching. My facial was also nice. I had been in the sun more than usual with little to no sunscreen -eek. Bree was very conscientious that my skin was sensitive and only used products that would not irritate it more. My face felt very nice, soft and clean afterward. read more

This Spa was anything but "Zen". Not to mention is it overpriced, but it was also an underwhelming experience. The waiting room is more like an awkward living room where you have no choice but to be sucked into the couch while you wait. The lighting in the bathroom was practically nonexistent and I felt as though I was in a dark closet. I understand Studio Z was recently opened, but after getting my haircut I couldn't even look at the back because a second mirror couldn't be found. Upon styling my new haircut at home, I discovered that my bob was VISIBLY unevenly cut and very choppy (which is exactly what I asked not to do during my consultation). The shampoo and conditioner that I was talked into buying has also failed to exceed my expectations which is appalling considering the bottles were $20 a piece. Not to mention my pedicure. After I arrived back to where I was staying, I realized that I had a sharp sensation and pain in my toes. When I looked down I saw that not only one, but two of my toes were cut right in front of my nail. And $45 for a shellac manicure? I just don't even know what to say about that. So, to sum up this trip to "Zen" Spa, I paid $200 to have a mediocre haircut, get my toes cut up while getting a pedicure, and a shampoo and conditioner set that feels no different than the stuff I could buy at Walmart for $3 a bottle. Maybe at these outrageous prices you could at least offer your clients wine or something other than that cranberry and orange infused water that tasted like it came straight from the tap. None of the services I received justified the overpriced price that it came with, it's safe to say that I won't be returning back here when I am back in Fenwick because I have much better things I can spend $200 on. My $200 would have been better spent at the Bayville Package Store. ****UPDATE: I called and spoke with the Manager on Friday January 9th to express my concerns. She seemed to be genuinely concerned with what I expressed to her about my experience and she said she was going to "investigate" and assured me that she was going to call me back. I've been going to Kate D. for my pedicures, and, Kate does a perfect pedi, super nice to chat with and the mani, pedi room is separate from the other rooms, which is great. It was time to rebook a hair and nail appointment and I didn't return to Zen Spa. Brandon is a great stylist but the customer service from the front desk is lacking and unfriendly. They lost one of my appointments and scrambled to find me a manicurist who asked if they should run an errand before taking me. Meanwhile another employee worked on her own toes. You are offered no refreshment in the waiting area, no one escorts you to your destination. The experience is awkward and that's not what I expect for my hard earned money. read more

Visited while celebrating a birthday. Called while 15minutes away thinking my appointment went through. They were able to accomodate my request and get us in with a 10 minute wait. Great spa especially for a group. We went there for a bachelorette weekend. They have two nice sitting areas to hang out. My massage therapist Emily was great for deep tissue massage. I got the best massage here from Sheila! Loved it. Would go back every week if I could. I have never been so relaxed :) We went with a wedding party and got amazing services - massage, facials, mani-pedi, etc., plus a spa lunch. Really nice, and the coordinator could not have been sweeter to work with. My only complaint was I got a clear skin facial and my skin felt very dry for a few days after. So I would not recommend the clear skin facial unless you have really oily skin. I probably should have gone back for a more moisturizing treatment, and would have if I lived closer.
