I dropped in for kimbop but K-bop is so much more. There's bibim-bop, k-bop, burri- bop and other dishes, the possibilities don't stop! It was a little confusing, the order process, during my stop. The bulgogi was a little dry in the kimbop although the pork belly kimbop was tip-top. The filling of pickles and veggies made a colorful photo opp. I'll return to try some other dishes next time.

The menu can be slightly confusing here but once you figure that out then it's easy. The idea is cute and I wanted to like this place more but the items we got were just basic and nothing too amazing. I liked the bulgogi kimbop best. My son also had a triangle kimbop that had tuna and mayo which was good, too. The chicken was good but for 13$ I didn't think it was anything spectacular. Food came out quick and they did have several self serve options with some pickled radish and cabbage. When one of the dishes in our party came out wrong they did go ahead and remake it right away without us even asking for it, so that was nice. Giving an extra star for good service.

A solid in-hotel, take-out Korean meal while in Glenview, IL. The business is slowly expanding beyond its small community here and opening up more restaurants, and supporting this business while in town felt just right! When looking for places to eat out at, this description on their website had pulled us in: WE STARTED K-BOP TO SHARE STORIES THROUGH THE LENS OF KOREAN STREET FOOD. Currently, there are so many great things coming out of Korea that inspire change or simply bring joy to our lives. During the 2021 pandemic, we started K-Bop in the Chicago suburb to keep sharing our greatness. K-KIMBOP: The rolls were thicccck. It honestly was a perfect selection of veggies inside with a kick of chili seasoning and soy sauce to dip into. You get more than you ask for with this roll! TOFU KIMCHI K-BOP: The meal that makes this place special. The business started making these deconstructed kimbop bowls, calling them 'k-bop' bowls. You also get a full serving of this meal and we ended up really craving a second bowl!! Aesthetics, service, the purpose of this business, and the meal altogether really made this place shine and 1110000% a hole-in-the-wall spot in Glenview, IL!

I'm glad that they decided to extend their hours. They used to close before 5 pm and that was vexing. We came here for a late lunch. If you got a 30 min or hour lunch break, then this place is great for that. Service was fine. Food was good. We got a variety. Some of the ingredients are no longer on the current menu fyi. Prices are reasonable. There is parking but they share it with other places next door. -pork cutlet tong bop 5/5 - this one is my favorite. It's like a burrito and that crunch was perfect. -bulgogi kimbop 5/5 -fried chicken kbop 5/5

I recently discovered this place by accident. I'm very happy that I stumbled across it. The inside has plenty of seating and is very clean. It was a bit smoky inside but not enough to drive me away. The service was quick, friendly, and helpful. These K-bop bowls might be my new OBSESSION. The balance of flavors, ingredients, and seasoning is PERFECT. I ended up going back 3 times within a week and trying different combinations. There is not a single bad option in my opinion but the bulgogi was my favorite. Overall this is a hidden gem of Chicagoland food and I highly recommend you making your way here ASAP.

The kimbap here is amazing. The rice is soft and well-seasoned, and the fillings are fresh and flavorful. I tried the classic vegetable kimbap, and the mix of crunchy carrots, crisp cucumbers, and savory egg was perfect. It is light but satisfying, and I will definitely be back for more.

Came here on a weekday afternoon for lunch and there was one other table taken at the time (there were more people getting takeout). I had the cheese tteokbokki and hubby had a chicken tong bop (seaweed base rice wrap (lettuce, cabbage, carrot, corn, green onion, crab salad, seaweed salad, fried onion, egg scramble, avocado). We also shared a pork cutlet kimbop. The tteokbokki was bright red and I was afraid it would be too spicy but it was the perfect spice level. I do wish that they had a rose tteokbokki but the flavor was good. Hubby enjoyed his tong bop but it was pretty messy and he took it apart to eat it. The pork cutlet kimbop was decent. We will be back to try other menu items!

As I'm actively taking the steps to become more familiar with the Korean cuisine, my childlike wonder led me to stumble upon K-bop, a street food restaurant wedged between a dry cleaning place and a nail art studio in a faded strip mall. I learned that Bibimbop is one of the most well-known and traditional dishes you could try, so I couldn't go without ordering the Avocado one. Simply put, it was incredible. You had the warm chewy rice, crunchy vegetables, crispy fried egg, and a deeply flavorful gochujang sauce that will really have you fall in love with this bowl. And because all of the ingredients were so wholesome, you had the sensation that you were getting healthier with every bite. I also learned that Kimbop is sometimes mistakenly referred to as sushi, but to do that would undercut its rich history and flavor. The Fried Shrimp one that we ordered was great. Biting into it, you'll notice the crispy battered tempura shrimp, the pop of cucumber, and the glossy/smooth seaweed that's holding everything together for dear life. K-bop is awfully good, and taught me to take a closer look at the streets I drive by every single day.

Tried Tuna Mayo recently. It was packed with tuna, very generous portions. Though it is on the sweeter side. We still really liked it, but probably prefer the pork belly, fried chicken ones more!

Love love love K-bop! They have so many great choices but I love their K-bop and their burri-bop. I usually get the spicy pork or the spicy chicken in either form. They also have really good kim-bop as well as ramen. This place is nestled among several restaurants and is not too assuming. You have to know about the place to really get the drift of what it serves. The dining area offers both communal bar stool seating and sit down tables. The atmosphere is pretty chill and 5he service is welcoming. I recently visited in December and they have a Christmas tree up and playing Christmas music on the speakers. Nice touch to be in the holiday spirit. They also have free private parking ample for the occupancy.

K-bop is my new favorite discovery for comfort food in the neighborhood by means of Korean street food staples! If you take anything away, it's that this place is a triple threat: fresh, tasty food, great value, and convenient! The menu is overwhelming at first, but there's sections for smaller (K-bop) rice bowls, bigger bibimbop rice bowls, tortilla wraps, and seaweed rice wraps (or sushirritos, as I call them)! You can choose from an assortment of fillings for each option, like spicy pork, bulgogi, fresh salmon, or shrimp. The back of the menu has appetizers, noodles, and fried chicken listed, though the staffer told me fried chicken isn't available yet. Pro tip: noodles are available for dine in only (darn, as we wanted udon on our last to go order)! I've been here 3x in the last couple months and gotten a T6 salmon sushirrito each time! For $12, it's a great deal and lasts me two meals. On our last visit, our party also tried the hearty seafood pancake, rice balls ($4.99 each), bibimbop, and a bulgogi rice bowl. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot! They're closed on Tuesdays, but hours are 7am-9pm every other day! Stop on by!

The place has options of seating - inside and outside, ranging from metal chairs to comfortable upholstered benches. We got the tom kha to begin with, which my husband, who's not vegetarian, devoured. It was truly delicious! We then got the Kung Pao with mushrooms and it was incredible - the flavors, the choice of vegetables, the sauce - all of it! We also got a chow mein but with rice noodles - this was the one dish that could take some improvement. Granted, the original recipe calls for wheat noodles, and that might be really good, though our rice noodles version of it was came out soggy. Our server had clearly had a long day - she was tired and forgetful (didn't bring us rice and we had a hard time flagging her down to request it). She also just brought us the check after dinner, without asking if we wanted any dessert. All in all, highly recommend this place for delicious plant-based food.

Finally, I decided to go with 1/2 fried chicken (8 pieces) since I hadn't had it before. The small order of wings also comes with eight pieces and is a couple of dollars less than the 1/2 fried chicken. The food was freshly prepared. The chicken was hot when it came out. My wife got a lunch special of 8 pieces boneless wings in honey garlic sauce which came with fries and a soft drink. I got my 1/2 fried chicken in Spicy Galbi sauce. My chicken was very flavorful. The sauce had a nice taste. It was a bit sweet, a bit savory, and a light kick of heat. One thing different with having this 1/2 fried chicken from the wings I had at a different bb.q Chicken was that the 1/2 fried chicken pieces were not as meaty as the wings. The boneless wings flavor was good as well. The food hit the spot. The service was satisfactory. Next time, I'll go back to having wings.

However, since fellow Yelp Elite friend Howard L. recommended BluFish to me, I had mentally put it on my to-try list for a while. Recently, both my husband and I decided to give it a try, and it did live up to the hype! Although the restaurant looked smaller in real life, it was chic and modern looking. We made a reservation for 2 on the same day on a Wednesday, a couple of popular time slots had been filled. When we went at 6:00 pm, the restaurant was bustling. We were promptly led to a 2-person table in the open dining room. My seat had the nice view of the sushi-making station, which was super busy. There was an area with all high-back booths, which seated 4 each. Our area was quite loud, fortunately, my husband and I could still hear each other. Our server, Kassie, was very pleasant, sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. She truly contributed a lot to a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. For appetizer, I was going to order Crab Cakes, but changed my mind after learning that even with the wasabi sauce put on the side, the crab cakes would still be spicy hot. I ordered an order of Takoyai ($9)(six pieces) instead and shared that with my husband. It came out piping hot and was cooked just right, with a light and crispy skin and perfect texture. Just delicious! My husband ordered a Chilean Seabass entrée ($36) which had a generous portion. I was interested in getting some sushi rolls. You can pick long or short. Kassie answered my question that long was about 8 to 10 pieces, while short being 5 to 6 pieces. I ordered one long and one short to get some more variety, understanding that it would be too much food for the two of us. I ordered the long Green Turtle ($18) -- one of my all-time favorites, and a short Smoky Bear ($14). Everything was delicious, even though my husband said that the seabass was slightly overcooked. The ratio of sushi rice to the other ingredients was perfect, and all of that were fresh, tasty and balanced well. I have recommended BluFish to my other family members and relatives. We will definitely be coming back. I would be happy to try more different sushi rolls from their extensive menu.
