Date night choice. Patricia was our server and she was very sweet and attentive. We ordered the fry app which was delicious! We had the salad bar as well and I was impressed, the house ranch is yummy. For our main my husband ordered the ribeye with the stuffed Chile, and the mixed rice on the menu and he enjoyed it. First of all, don't go at lunch time. It takes a long while to get seated. Staff doesn't man the front or even glance up as they practically run through the dining room. I eventually asked the bartender (who looked annoyed when I asked) if we could seat our self. She said sit anywhere so we did. Your server will generally ignore you the entire time you're seated. They're busy with the back room where they often have 20 or so people from the base - especially on Friday afternoon. Staff routinely confuses sweet tea with unsweet tea (or just doesn't care to remember). I've been served the completely wrong side dishes more than once. Don't eat the green beans unless you like warmed and raw. The cream gravy is warm jello and can't even pass off as homemade. The steaks quality is decent and the salad wagon (bar) is hit or miss. They've brought back real bacon bits and whole, blackened green chile (thank you). The grill cooks need lessons on cooking meat during the lunch hour. The last time I went the chicken breast from the lunch meal is so dry I needed to drink my whole iced tea. When my husband went last month, I had to send my steak back because medium rare is not supposed to bathe in its own blood and saturate the entire plate when you slice into it. The waitress did ask me to check my steak, and when I wanted it to go back she seemed irritated that she had to bother. When it came back, it was well done and had no juice. I gave up and ate it because we'd already been there for an hour and I was starving. You get two stars because dinner service is better than lunch. It's like a whole different establishment. Just got a very pleasant surprise at K Bobs Steak House! New management, new menu and a wonderful dining experience. We were a party of seven and the service could not have been any better. Great variety and choices. Food was served within 10 minutes of the time we ordered and was hot and very tasty. Everyone at the table was very happy with their meals. The restaraunt was packed and yet our wait staff was very efficient and courteous. They really kept on top of our dining experience. In the past it was hit or miss...now it was clearly a hit. I hope they can keep this up! We all agreed that we would be dining at K Bobs much more frequently in the near future. Management made several trips over to our table to visit. It is obvious they are working hard to turn this establishment around and get it re established as the great restaurant it has been in the past and can be again. read more

I love going to kbobs. They have the funniest bartenders EVER! The young lady who bartends at night is so hilarious and creates such a wonderful atmosphere. The food is amazing. I have been eating here for about a year since I was hired by an Otr trucking company with a terminal here in Clovis . I have seen staff and management come and go and every new crew wanted to know what was wrong? Well it is not the current staff. Daniella has taken care of me very well. The soups are not very brave and are repetitive . The service is always great. The menu is consistently strong, But the salad bar could use more and constant attention. The wines could be more eclectic. The Pinot Noir is pretty good and the beer selection is covered well across the available popular selections. I have never had better shrimp any way you want it. But be more adventuresome on soup and wines. The staff is always attentive and very accommodating and interactive. read more

I came with some of my african american friends and they immediately put us in a secluded room and gave us terrible service (this has never happened when i came here with my white friends). It took us an hour to get drinks, another 30 minutes to get appetizers and 3 hours later we're still waiting on food. I just went to K-Bob's to watch a little football and try the wings. I ate in the bar and the tender was very nice, offered to put whatever game I wanted on any tv. Good service and good wings. I had not tried the ribs yet so the bartender brought me a few to try, very good.... Nice people there on both sides of the bar and I recommend it! read more

Salad wagon was filthy, everything needed to be replenished& wiped down Salad topping bowls were empty, ranch dressing was watered down. The beans and soup was dried up. KBOBS is one of the newest Steakhouse in Clovis. It was rebuilt and reopened. They have a full Bar and an excellent salad bar (cold Plates and Fresh and crisp Salads. They have just added a happy hour menu with fried pickles and a Bar B.Q .chicken caseadia. There Draft Beers come in a frosty 22oz mug. They have a killer Green Chile Burger (make sure you order it bloody) which is med rare. Try with Bacon :)) Make sure to get extra napkins. Great Ribeye steaks ( Ask for rare and you will get it med well) its not bloody. I am from Phoenix so I pretty picky about food but KBOBS is on of the best we meals I have had in Clovis. If you want good food in this town, you have to go to a restaurant Clovis Man would be proud to eat in - that means a Steakhouse, and this is the only one here. The fact that it's a regional chain with a full bar helps. I had the rodeo ribeye medium rare, with a loaded baked potato and one-trip salad wagon. Everything was fresh and delicious, and prepared as ordered, as it should be. It took a few minutes for someone to notice I was there, but once I was seated staff was very friendly and attentive and food was served quickly. If I ever come back to this town I will eat here again. read more

~ZERO STARS~ My husband and I don't eat out very often at all, it's actually probably been a few months since we went to town to eat dinner and tonight we decided to go to K-Bob's and what a huge disappointment it was and that's actually an understatement! Let me just start by saying the service was exceptional at our table and the table near us who had a different waiter BUT then we went to the salad bar where the food was less than par, extremely wilted spinach, old beans (like days old) no cornbread to try to make them a little better, ranch dressing so watered down it had no flavor at all! None of the pasta salads had any type of dressing or salt on them, just bland pasta, gross! Then we got our meal, my steak was $19.99 and had a piece bacon wrapped around it, well kind of, it was supposed to be wrapped around it but instead had fallen off and was laying kinda around it and hanging off the plate half raw and the other half burnt, the steak had no flavor at all it tasted like it had soaked in water all day to get any flavor of beef out of it! My baked potato was 2-3 days old leftover, dried up, hard as a rock, I sent it back and ask for whatever replacement that was fresh, I didn't care what it was as long as it was fresh so they brought me broccoli. It was just a really bad experience all the way around, even the water tasted like chlorine or worse! My husband had to trade his side as well! I told my husband I wonder if trying to keep from wasting that potato for cost effectiveness was worth the extra dishes they had to bring to us plus losing a customer FOREVER!!!!!!! May I make a suggestion.....you could have easily made a vegetable of the day to save the wilted spinach by cooking it, now that's cost effective! What ticks me off so bad about it is the prices, to try to serve that kind of crap and make people eat that low quality food for that kind of price! Seriously! I don't have to eat food like that! I told K-bobs good bye when I left because I don't expect it to stay open very long serving horrible food like we received tonight! The waitress gave us a $10.00 discount and I appreciated it but I really didn't think I should owe anything, K-bob's should have paid me to try to eat that food! Went to K-Bobs last night sat in the bar. It took 10 min before we even saw a bartender. They have a advertisement around the bar that states 1/2 off on beer during NFL games. Well we received are check and they gave us happy hour prices we asked and the bartender said that's what they were told to do. Misleading right. The food was pretty rough also. I recently was driving home from Houston to Santa Fe and decided it was time to look for place to have supper as I passed through Clovis, New Mexico. I saw a sign for K-Bobs Steak House and, while I had never heard of the place, a steak sounded like a good idea. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was surprised to see so many cars on a Monday night at 8 o'clock... so I thought I might've made a good choice. I went in and, since I was alone, sat at the bar which had four TV's tuned to ESPN. The restaurant had a very nice feeling to it, and the people at the bar and at the tables seemed to be enjoying the entire "dining experience" The bartender immediately welcomed me to K-Bobs of Clovis and asked me what I would like to drink and if I would like to have dinner at the bar to which I replied iced tea and yes. I noticed that there was a drink promotion that tied in with the college bowl games and the NFL playoffs which I thought was smart, and would have taken advantage of if I wasn't driving for four more hours. I ordered a medium rare rib-eye with a baked potato. I also made a trip to the biggest salad bar I have ever seen and filed a large plate to over flowing with a great number of choices topped off with blue cheese dressing. My meal came very quickly (and hot), was cooked perfectly and was very good...as was everything from the salad bar. As I was finishing supper, what I thought was a waitress came over and asked me if everything had met my expectations. She turned out to be the General Manager and when I told her I had worked in the restaurant business with Pizza Hut she sat down and we had a nice conversation. I told her that Pizza Hut's mantra was food quality, service, ambiance and cleanliness and I complimented her on K Bob's of Clovis getting very high grades on each of those. She laughed when I told her I had even taken notice the spotless men's room. I also found out that K- Bob's has a chain of restaurants mainly in Texas and New Mexico. As I travel in those states, I will keep an eye out for other K-Bob's and I highly recommend the chain for anyone looking for a great steak and the best salad bar I have ever seen. read more

We visited this restaurant despite the reviews. We had the most awesome experience. We were visiting from out of town and the service and food were great. Tim and Nicole went out of their way to make sure our group of eight were taken care of. Honestly I think a majority of these negative reviews are fake. The restaurant was very clean, the food was fantastic and the staff was more than attentive. The steak and hot wings were delicious! The rolls are to die for. We visited many restaurants during our week long stay in New Mexico and this was by far our favorite one. Thank you !!! read more

Our waiter Devon greeted us asking how our day was going and took our drink orders which were portly delivered. He helped us with our menu choices and directed us to the salad bar which was very fresh with lots of items, dressings and toppings. The soup was very good as was the salads. Our entrees were delivered with perfect timing and were also cooked to perfection. Our waiter checked back with us to make sure everything was okay with our meals and made sure our drink orders were kept filled. We're traveling thru but will certainly come back to this restaurant. The manager should be very proud of Devon and the rest of the staff because they all were taking care of business on a busy day and saw nothing but happy faces. read more

My family and I have been there several times in the last few months but the last two times will be why we won't go back. The second to last time we went me baked sweet potato was rotten. When I told the waitress she did take it to the cook, who's answer was only "I'm sorry",no discount or anything. Last night we where there and it was a disaster. We placed our orders for drinks and it took asking the waiter about them a second time (10 mins later) before the drinks from the bar showed up. When the food came I was upset. The waiter forget two sides for two different dinners. My sister in laws sizzling plate had burnt food and what looked like a hair in it. The steak I ordered was not cooked to the rare I ordered and the fries where overcooked and the outside of my father in laws and my steak where burnt. The waiter never did ask if we needed anything other than our food which we did. Also it was not as though there was a lot of people at the time we were there as there was maybe 4 other tables beside us. I doubt we will be going back anytime soon..personally they all need to be taught how to cook and wait tables correctly. read more

My husband and I have been to K-Bob's 5 times now and all of our visits were great. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. We enjoy the Ribeye and the Sirtender. They also have a wonderful pork chop that is huge. My husband always gets the salad wagon and really enjoys it. The service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait. read more

Isn't the customer always right? I came into k-bobs and asked for my usual server Angie. I had a party of 8 that afternoon, the reason for my visit that day was to introduce some of my family from out of town to our FAVORITE bartender and server. Then about ten minutes into arriving i guess your manager named Nicole informed me that Angie would not be taking care of me, the "new girl" would be instead because she wanted to see if she could handle a larger table. I was told I would be given 10% off my ticket for the inconvenience?? ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I was livid about the situation. I have NEVER been told NO, when requesting. I want you to know I am NOT interested in your 10% discount, i have NO problem paying top dollar for GREAT service, which I did not get that day. I will say that Angie helped the other server out and i really appreciated it. I enjoy going out and someone knowing our drink order and or appetizer order. I enjoy when I can have a great conversation with our server. Isnt that part of the dining out experience? I dont know why my request was ignored that day. I introduced my family to Angie in the bar area. I know Angie was not busy and could have tended to us. The bar was completely empty. Also, where is Sierra?? I used to be a regular for both day and night. Sierra had that place full and I enjoyed siting at her bar. I have gone in a few times and it is just NOT the same. Id like to know where these two ladies are so I can give them my business. I am guessing Angie no longer works there, coming from the bartender a few nights ago. You need consistency in your bar. I was told K Bobs has been running under new managment the last month or so, well let me tell you, its obvious because the place is a mess, the salad bar has gone down, and the service just flat out sucks now. After driving all day we were ready to grab a bite and call it a day. K-Bob's was open and near, so we went for it. We both ordered meals with baked potato as the side. When they arrived, we plunged our forks in, took a bite and....cold potato. Our server was not visible so we asked another for help. As she was taking them back, a young man with a tie came out of the kitchen. He glanced at her carrying food TO the kitchen, glanced at us, then disappeared. About 5 minutes later we got the potatoes back. Plunged the forks and.....lukewarm. When the server asked if everything was okay, we told her they were still nowhere near hot. We declined the offer to have them nuked, by now ready to get on with life. A few minutes later, the young man came by...no self-introduction, he led off with, "I understand you have a problem with the potatoes." We explained, only to be told, "That's not right, I plated those myself, they were hot." I respectfully disagreed, offered other terms like "tepid" and "lukewarm." He then offered to adjust the bill. When it arrived, he'd knocked off $6. And, helped to ensure that, whenever asked if we'd been to K-Bob's, we'd have a response at hand. Caveat emptor! read more

We were a party of 16 who ate a late lunch at K-Bob's in Clovis. When we called, the week before, to make reservations, we were informed reservations were not necessary. We would be put in the enclosed area. When our party started arriving the room was not ready. It took about 20 minutes to get tables ready for us. (dirty dishes stayed on a nearby table the whole time) It was another 20+minutes before someone even came to greet us or take a drink order. A member of our party had to get someone over to our table. It was at this time were informed there was only 1 server for the whole restaurant. When asked why isn't the manager in charge at least running drinks it was ignored. We all placed our drink order and food order at the this time. Our food started coming out as we received our drinks. 3 plates were cold(the others were cool), 4 plates had incorrect vegetables (2 of these were corrected the other 2 were not). We have no doubt our server did her best given the circumstances. Our question is ---when you were informed of us coming why wasn't extra help scheduled? read more
