Went into the restaurant to find out the process for their wait list. After speaking with a manager due to our party size, explaining we wanted a table to seat all of us, not split or as they called it, back to back (party of 12) was told they could do it, put my name on list for 5pm. Manager indicated it could be a wait of 10 to 30 minutes with 30 being max. We arrived to first be told we were not on list, then we were "found" and the young lady indicated it would be a 45 to 60 minute wait. Not happy since that meant we had already been lied to, but decided to go ahead and wait. The promised 30 minute wait passed....in the meantime they sad at least 2 parties of 7. At 45 minutes I demanded a manager, asking for the one I had seen that morning. A few minutes later a totally different "manager" came forward. By then I was really mad, especially when he said they still did not have a table for us and wanted us to do back to back tables. NOPE!! told him we would go else where he was trying to say something, but as angry as I was I turned with our group and walked out. Try to ruin my birthday? NOPE! Our party of 8 arrived (5 adults 3 kids) and we were seated quickly but not the best seat in the house. A booth for 6 and they put a table and 2 chairs at the end of the booth that stuck out in the isle. It was uncomfortable for our group. The music is SO LOUD that people have to scream to talk which jus makes it even more loud. This really affects the dining experience in a negative manner as it creates a bad environment that is not enjoyable, so you don't enjoy your food or your dinner companions. I'm seriously overstimulated from the insane amount of noise to the point that I don't even have my food yet and I'm about ready to walk out and find a place with a more welcoming ambiance that is conducive to enjoying a nice dinner and conversation which doesn't need screaming in order to be held. Please turn down the music. We don't come here and pay good money to jam out and scream into the faces of our companions. The food was super salty , cold and burned. It looked like the steak was just warmed up on the grill and placed back on the plate. The shrimps tasted badly and were old and dry.It took over 1/2 hour to get the food on the table. Called the manager and replaced the food with a little bit better food but again salty and not near the taste of other Roadhouse restaurants that I am used to it. The food was incredible, the steak perfectly cooked (which is rare for these chain steak places), the sweet potato was one of the closest experiences I will have to heaven until I get there, the home made ranch was incredible, the complimentary bottomless bread rolls were the best free restaurant side I have had in years, and the service was exceptional. One thing that every restaurant needs to remember is that the customer needs to be attended to as soon as they sit down and not 10 minutes later. These customers are paying and leaving tips if the customer service is good and the waiter or waitress is attentive to the needs of the customer. These customers probably had a long day at work and want to be served some great food and taken care because instead of staying home they are eating at this establishment. Texas Roadhouse you need to work on being more attentive to your customers, areas or tables need to be clean quickly to allow customers to move if they like a certain table especially if the restaurant is empty. I work very hard for my money and I am not willing to tip anyone who does not work hard too. In this economy it is hard to even want to go eat out and when you have a 2 star experience at a restaurant it is not worth the gas, the drive, and the investment in an organization that does not have a focus on the Attention to Detail and takes ownership in their business. read more

Ok second time around the food was amazing as well as our server. We ordered 16oz prime rib rare, 8oz filet mid rare and filet medallions medium. All of our food was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The baled potatoes were nice and fluffy and cooked perfect. Our third time at Texas Roadhouse in Clovis NM and each experience has not been good. We have been overlooked three times and we left on our second visit after waiting over an hour when we had been told a 30 minute wait. We are not ones to give up on a restaurant so went back today. We were overlooked again today and while being seated we passed multiple tables available for two people. The issue seems to be that if you call in for seating you are put above any and everybody even if seating is available. Not everyone is able to call in before eating out. Once seated the server was great but were served steaks that were not medium cooked but well and dry. The potatoes were also not cooked all the way being not done in the middle. The table service was good but the overall experience was not. After three tries we won't be returning. read more

I dined at this location twice this week. The first was 12/18 and the second was 12/19. The first night was amazing! Steak was cooked to perfection. Was so good that me and the coworker wanted to repeat the experience. Thank you to our waiter Tristan. The second night was a complete 180. Was seated without bread and it never came. The steak I ordered at medium came out like it had just been hit by a blow torch. The fat was completely separated from the meat. Only the center had barely a remnants of pink. I told the waiter and he offer to have the manager come over. When I talked with him I expressed that I didn't want to wait again for my meal as they were very busy. He left without a resolution given to me. I had 4-5 bites before I could not bear to chew through the overcooked steak. I told the waiter that I could not eat it and he took my plate including my whole baked potato. Never asked if I wanted anything else. When he did come back to the table he asked if I wanted more water in my glass, it was lemonade, he should have know known that, right? We got the bill and I was charged 50% for the meal that I didn't eat. My coworker paid the bill for us. On the way out I questioned the manager as to why I had to pay anything. He seemed dumbfounded, I guess the waiter didn't update him on the situation? He did apologize and said that he could help me on a future visit. I explained that I was from out of town and not happy with the experience. He again said he could help me on a future visit. I feel bad writing this review since I've heard so many good things about this establishment and was so excited to hear that it was moving to Clovis. Disappointment set in as I sat in my vehicle for a little over 30 minutes after receiving two different texts about my order and waiting for my pre-ordered for pickup. Finally I felt that there must be a situation inside that is causing me to wait so long to receive my order so I went in to the pickup window I waited there for a little over 10 minutes until finally someone came out to help me it appears my food has been sitting on the counter this whole time and no one notified me. The shameful part of this review is that the order I place was icebox cold not even a microwave could revive my order. It's a shame that I paid the money that I paid for these two orders and to receive less than microwavable food. Question have you ever tried to reheat dried catfish, fries and hamburger? if not let me tell you this it was awful. I want to say never again but maybe because they're just opening they just haven't got to the point of getting it right maybe I'll try again in a few months. Mad about the money that I spent . I would give no stars if I could. Went there for lunch, yesterday, got there early so that we could be one first groups in when they opened their doors. We got a table right away. Ordered our food right away when we sat down. The plates that they gave us for the table with our rolls, was all dirty. Waited 50 minutes after we ordered, still no food. Told a waitress that we had been waiting almost an hour, and groups of people who came in after us had already got their food and even a few, paid left already. We then spoke to the manager, and this lady told us that since we ordered steak "well done" it take much longer. That is a load of crap first off! Then I told the manager that we are just going to pay for our drinks and go. She didn't wants us to leave and said she would go find out why there such a long wait. I told her about the dirty plates we was given and she touched them and could feel the grim on them. She said it was unacceptable and took the plates. We then got our food, and I was missing one of my sides for my meal. My wife's steak wasn't well done, but was rare. My shrimp for some reason had gravy poured all across it. Never had gravy on them before any other roadhouse I've been to. Manager says, it butter, but not melted. We told the manager and a different waitress, because didn't see our original waitress, until after we paid on the tablet on the table. The manager did give us 23 dollars off our ticket, for our plates being dirty when we first sat down. The manager then told me that it took so long for use to get our food because our original waitress waited 20 minutes to put our order in after we order with her right away. No matter where I have been stationed before, I have never had horrible service like this. Next time we get Texas Roadhouse, we will drive to another city for it. Never again will we go to this one ever! read more
