The food is great here and the people are super friendly, but I'm taking 2 stars away because it's always absolutely freezing in the dining room from September to May. It's to the point that you can't take your coat off, and your food gets cold quickly. And it's not just me...literally no one takes their coat off in there. I get that the kitchen is probably warmer, but you can't leave your customers shivering in the dining room. I've mentioned it three times to the staff and they just say "yes, sorry" and walk away. We've quit going here because of the comfort issue, which is a shame because I love to support mom and pop places. read more

I'm not very experienced with Korean BBQ, but I know good food when I taste it. The soy garlic chicken wings and beef bulgogi were delicious. The veggies were cooked perfectly & tasted fresh. Wings were nice & crispy on the outside & sauce was flavorful without being overbearing. It wasn't too sweet or too salty or too tangy, just perfect pure flavors. My Sister had beef cupbap & a taro boba tea. She enjoyed both. We dined in & staff is very friendly & attentive. You can tell their business & customer satisfaction is important to them. Looking forward to trying more wing flavors & entrees. If I lived closer I'd probably get A LOT of carry out. read more

This spot is worth traveling for! The sauce for their Korean fried chicken wings is so tasty. It's extra crispy without being heavy on the batter. I had a bibimbap, and the meat was marinated and very tender. All the vegetables matched well. There's no table grills to be seen in this cozy little mom and pop shop but that's not going to stop you from getting some fantastic food. The chicken comes in a few forms, wings, boneless strips or popcorn. The sauce options are 2 mild, soy garlic and Korean zing (a sweet pepper sauce) and 2 hot, supreme and blazing. The base wings are great. The size is excellent and they're perfectly prepared. Hot and juicy with the perfect amount of breading. The breading is crispy and adheres well to the chicken so you don't get a bunch of stuff falling off onto your plate or shirt. The sauces I tried, the soy garlic and zing, were delicious and complex and applied directly to the wings right after cooking. This way it absorbs into the coating of the chicken a bit and really wraps it in flavor. Korean fried chicken is in a class of its own. It's not better or worse than southern fried chicken, it's totally different. K-BBQ is a great place to give it a try. read more

The beef cupbap is so delicious! I got the sauce on the side, which was a good idea because the dish was so flavorful without sauce. The beef was tender and crispy on the outside. It came out fast and hot! The price was reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Wings are big and meaty. Fries side order is very big. One of my favorite take-out places. The owners are genuinely grateful and appreciative. The food is delicious, my favorite is the Cupbap With Beef. The beef is tender, the glass noodles are a nice touch. Other dishes my family orders are Beef Bulgogi (tender marinated beef with veggies and rice), Spicy Chicken (chicken marinated in a sweet chili pepper sauce with veggies and rice), and surprisingly, chicken wings. We got the honeydew and taro flavor bubble tea, and I think it was a mix, so I would not recommend it for people allergic to dairy. Some of the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had! Being Michigan-born and raised, it's hard to find Korean fried chicken in Michigan. I've only tried a handful of Korean chicken places in Michigan, but this one is my favorite. The older gentleman that was at the register when I picked up my food was so sweet and kind. The food was also ready on time. We let the chicken sit for about an hour because we were busy and the chicken was super crispy even after sitting out! I like this quaint little place. It's probably 12 seats max and almost passable and you will absolutely pass the driveway entrance your first time coming here, but everyone was really nice and i loved the food here. The wings are probably the go-to here. They are extra crispy and flavorful and I would order plenty over and over again. This is the type of place I want to love. It appears to be a small mom and pop restaurant. And the folks behind the counter are polite and friendly. But I was here to try the vegetarian version of their bi bim bap, and much to my disappointment, it was not particularly enjoyable. The key problem for me was the tofu. It's cubed into dice-sized pieces and deep fried until the edges and corner are hard. It's just not an enjoyable eating experience. Plus one of the benefits of tofu is that it can absorb flavors from sauces and marinades, but the frying sealed the tofu and thus it barely had any flavor at all. I felt the dish was a little light on the veggies, and it seemed over-priced to me. I generally eat my veggie bi bim bap in Ann Arbor, which has a reputation for higher prices. But I can get a better prepared version of veggie bi bim bap with more veggies and an egg in Ann Arbor for less. I wish the owners well and hope they re-think some aspects of their veggie bi bim bap. read more
