Chicken Bibimbap
Kelly S.

We have been customers for years and have loved the wings, bulgogi and bibimbap. The wings are flavorful and crispy. The crunch is satisfying and the sauce varieties are perfect for your spicy cravings or I get them plain and sauces on the side to take home. There's a nice dining room area if you want to eat in. The customer service is great and everyone is friendly and welcoming. They do not have ramen on the menu anymore so I hope they may offer it again in the future.

Loved the food. Went with the top item in Yelp, Cupbap. It was my favorite. Great flavors throughout the dish. Bibimbap was pretty good but Cupbap was so much better. There is a lot more food in the bibimbap portion. Mandoo was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Wings were crispy and had some good flavor in the sauce. I went with Korean Zing, which was not spicy hot but more honey bbq. Great for takeout and we will be back!

I am soooo happy it's back open again!the new remodel looks amazing and nice and clean looking. The man that took my order was very nice and pleasant. He said it's been open for 2 weeks! I am so grateful that it reopened because I can't find another Korean barbecue this good. No one beats them! Everything is delicious! I took some pictures of the place. They even offer outside sitting which is really great! The beef bulgogi is the best dish ever! It comes with rice, mixed vegetables. Thank you for opening back up.

Service and presentation are top notch at this little spot. On this visit, we tried the beef bulgogi, the chicken teriyaki, the dumplings, and bone-in wings with the soy garlic sauce. Everything was expertly prepared. The wings were humongous - perhaps the biggest wings I've had in my life. The soy garlic sauce was good but I might try another sauce on a future visit. The dumplings were perfectly fried and ample - 6 dumplings for $6. One member of my party was particularly impressed with the dumplings. Of the two entrees, we all preferred the beef bulgogi. The teriyaki chicken needed either more sauce or a more robust sauce. We also tried the spicy version of the teriyaki sauce and this was an improvement. We were given complimentary bowls of miso soup and I thought the soup was very good. Service was kind and attentive and overall it was a great experience.

I have seen numerous eateries over the years trying to do business at this standalone building in front of a large car wash. The current iteration is a Korean restaurant serving a limited menu of standard items like bulgogi, bibimbap, cupbap, ramen, and fried chicken wings. Orders were strictly take-out as they were not permitting on-site dining in their small eating area. I picked a six-piece of Korean wings with a half and half flavor combination of Soy Garlic and Korean Zing. The wings were separated in a container by tin foil with the three non-spicy pieces on top and the three spicy ones on the bottom. They were not large, and the crust was not very crispy. The soy garlic flavor was decent while the Korean zing was mildly spicy. The other part of my order was a bibimbap with beef. White rice was provided in a separate container while the marinated beef, assorted vegetables, and cup of gochujang sauce were placed together in a circular aluminum pan. The amount of rice to the protein and veggies was good, however it was the sauce that tied the dish together with a spicy flavor. The food was prepared in about ten minutes and brought out to my car where I was waiting. For the quality and price, K-BBQ was an average three star dining experience.

We finally get to try this place out. My husband dropped by briefly with a friend once last year, but didn't get a chance to try out their food then. We ordered the 5 piece boneless wings with the Korean zing sauce, some cheese curds and a side kimchi. Hope it's good. The staff are all busy in the back kitchen. I had to call out into the kitchen to get somebody to come out so I could order. I ordered my three items to go. The total was $16.87. The man that took my order said that he would run out the food when it was done to my car. I guess that was a hint not to stay inside the shop. I walked back to my car to wait. The man was out in less than 10 minutes with our food order. Boneless chicken wings were more like little schnitzels, smashed down flat. They weren't as crispy as I thought they would be. The cringing sauce was good and the chicken was tender The cheese curds were nice and crispy and oh so cheesy. The side of kimchi was fresh crunchy and spicy. Not bad for a last second add on. I bet their regular wings are even better, but not a huge fan of dealing with the bones. I would be open to coming to try their other menu items. Think it would be good to work on making even their boneless wings crispier.

I've been on the hunt for a good Korean bbq place so I was really excited to try this one. It's a small restaurant that offers outdoor and indoor seating. We got the supreme wings, Korean zing, a bowl of rice, French fries, and dumplings. The wings were not very spicy which we liked. I loved the sauce on top of the supreme wings. 6 wings each was plenty since we had sides too. They were cooked perfectly and soo crispy. The wings were absolutely delicious. All the seasoning was so good and fantastic overall. The service was the best part. The man at the counter was so friendly and answered our questions. He was quick to bring us our food and gave us more than what we needed. I'm so happy to finally have a good Korean bbq place to come back to!

I had been visiting Matsu-Chan a few times a year since 2009 when I was a university student in the…read moreJapanese [language] minor program and a lot of my classmates would also frequent. After graduating my girlfriend [now wife] and I would make it a point to try and eat at Matsu-Chan when in the area, even after our first kiddo, and eventually our second. Last year before one of our trips to the area my wife let me know that they were under new management and when I looked at the new menu, I was saddened that all of my favorite items were no longer present, and it seemed that my beloved little slice of Japan was now "just" a ramen shop. While my wife loves and can handle ramen and the broth, I would typically get the different rice bowls, or other entrees because while I love me some good ramen it doesn't work out well for me with the hour or so trip to the area. We'd get some rolls, takoyaki, and other appetizers to share around the table before digging into our main entrees. With the increased prices, and fewer options, I will end up going to any of the multitude of places [Aji-ten is usually our #2] to get my kick. I'll miss the little shop and the times I've had, like perusing the manga while waiting for a table. I wish the old owners the best, and the new management as well, especially if it was a familial transfer, but Matsu-Chan is not for me anymore. My wife will eventually get up there and let me know how it is, but for now, I'm just happy that a little bento shop opened near my workplace run by two first gen transplants, so I can at least get my fix without the drive.

My friend arrived first and grabbed the last available table during a busy lunch rush. I am…read moregrateful I did not have to wait since I tend to get hangry. Others following us added their names to the waitlist. The restaurant is small with just a handful of tables. One chef, it appears, prepared all the meals. I barely glanced at the menu; I already knew I was having the ramen. The only question was which one. My friend selected the eel bowl while I had the miso pork soup. The latter was served with sliced pork, bamboo shoots, fish cake, and seaweed. The broth was full of flavor; I enjoyed every slurp. I appreciated that the meal was sizeable and inexpensive - I was able to stretch it to two meals. We did not linger given the number of people waiting.

We were in the mood for some good ramen, and that's exactly what we got. We started with some steamed dumplings that were pretty solid. For our entree we split the tonkotsu ramen and a few rolls. We really liked all of these and I can't wait to try more things on the menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and had great recommendations. The atmosphere was moody in a fun way. Definitely check them out!

The servers were very courteous and always smiling, looked nice in their all black shirt, pants and apron. Modern interior ... elements of wood, vinyl red upholstery, and lots of japanese lanterns hanging by the sushi bar and kitchen area. Lots of elbow room and proportional height of the dining table. And in each table, they would place on top of each sushi plate a thick paper napkin, and chopstick with their logo printed on the front. Very hot water is served in a ceramic sake cup. For a group of three, we ordered the highly recommended Tonkotso Ramen $18, Stir fry noodles $16, and Chicken Katsu Curry Bowl $17. There was a strange smell of the bowl used to served the stir fry noodles and it tasted bland .. but for Ramen noodles, I very much enjoyed enjoyed eating the thin noodles garnished with chashiu, soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, nori and corn - the only downside is the broth was easily absorb by the noodles so you might need to order extra broth for additional $5. The breaded chicken breast is good in proportion enough to feed three and the curry sauce was ok ... maybe a few pieces of carrot would have been great. I do commend how they prepared the egg and created a very nice plating of it on top of the rice. At first, we hesitated to dine in because of the reviews like slow service but actually it seems that the food and drinks were served more or less 10-15 minutes. Just about right when you want your food to be prepared by them the right way. Free parking. Dining area is warm so don't bother wearing a thick jacket inside.
