I wish I could leave negative stars. Absolute worst tow experience ever from start to finish. My girlfriends daughters car broke a ball joint and was left on side of road. We contacted geico and gave pickup address and drop off address. This was more info than the driver could handle. After multiple calls and texts they finally figured out that it was at the address that we gave. It got worse. Requested car to be dropped in our flat paved driveway where I could work on it but that was also too much. The roads were slick at drop off but that's what tow companies do. They collect cars in bad situations often from weather and deliver them to the destination. So it's no excuse at all. Our property has 3 flat driveways only one is paved so it would have been understandable if they had left in either of the gravel spots. No instead they put the car in the only spot that it would have to be towed out of just to work on it and it's barely out of the road. Idk if the driver has ever driven a motor vehicle before because my teenagers could have done much better. There is zero value in their service. The driver should be fired and his license revoked. Parked in a what I thought was a visitor spot. Yet these criminals felt the need to go after another illegal tow. Don't trust this run down backyard towing company looking for a quick cash grab. One of their employees was towing the Rodeo, a kid looked at the truck and jokingly said "noooo", that is the only thing he said. The driver slammed his breaks and ran to us stomping with his fists balled up. He was raging as hard as possible, screaming and shoved the kid when he walked up. He was hungry for a fight, all the people in the group were trying to calm him down but he was hunting for a fight. Do NOT call this company, it seems unsafe. read more

In Vilas for the weekend visiting friends who live there. Locked my keys in the truck Sat night. Sunday morning, 8:00 am, K&S answered the call and were there in an hour. I gave him vague directions to the house as everyone who lived there was still sleeping. He had it open in minutes. The experience was both professional and pleasant. Keith had me laughing telling stories of other locked vehicles. My kind of business! read more

I was a woman in distress in Boone, NC on September 18, 2023. My car started smoking out the rear end on a busy highway. I called AAA but they seemed to be so backed up and behind and I didn't want to wait forever. I called 911 and she gave me two towing companies. The first one never picked up as they were probably working on cars so I called next in line which was K&S Towing. He told me how long it would take for him to get to me and he was right on point. I was happy that he had a flatbed truck. He was very helpful and was able to ride my friend and I to a place where my car could be repaired. he was very knowledgeable of the businesses in the area. His manner and friendliness put my mind at ease. I would recommend this company to anyone. read more

I am someone who never does reviews to begin with but this one I feel like should be done. I was visiting Boone and had parked in what appeared to be a visitor parking spot, the letters were faded but were still visible. Assuming I was going to be fine I left my car there for a night as I was only staying for one day. To my surprise next morning my car was gone. I had called Mountaineer Village, the apartment complex I was staying at to ask them what had happened to my vehicle. They had told me it was towed by K & S, a company that they had pointed out was not affiliated with nor receive anything from had towed my vehicle. I then proceeded to call K & S and explain the situation asking if they were able to work with me as I believed the parking spot I was in was in fact a visitor parking spot. They had initially said there was nothing they were able to do. I then proceeded to call them when I was going to pick up my car and asked if I can speak more on the situation, they then said "you can try if you want but don't expect anything". Which wasn't very pleasant to hear. I was quoted $145 to release my vehicle. They're practice is very predatory when it comes towing and you should be aware these people will not do anything to assist the customer. read more

MODERN DAY PIRATES! Yes I inadvertently parked in a section of a strip mall that was not part of the restaurant we were in. When I was warned to move my car I want out, the tow truck blocked me in and refused to let me out till I paid $90 to avoid being towed. The driver was not rude, I don't blame him he's making a living for his family. This is a predatory company preying on tourist. The other tow driver at the same lot made the comment "YEA COME BY HERE EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR AND GET CARS" REALLY K&S what goes around comes around. Car got towed from a VISITOR parking space from the apartment where I LIVE! This is not an uncommon occurrence from these folks, a handful of my friends have had the same problems this past week. My family & I came upon a hill where cars were having trouble & sliding. We also slid off the road & got stuck. I called a different tow co. who said they didn't know if or when they would be able to come & get us. A few minutes later Kevin showed up. I asked if he could help us after helping the person who called him. Kevin said he would clear the entire hill! He towed us to safety & when I asked, Kevin gave me some tips for driving on ice. About 15 minutes down the road I came across another hill that my 2 wheel drive couldn't tackle. I called Kevin again & in no time he finished clearing the 1st hill & rushed to help us. He took us all the way to our driveway & didn't unhook the winch until my truck was safely in it's parking spot. Then he searched the yard until he found a rock that was suitable to use as a wheel chock & put it behind my tire (the truck was parked on ice & on a slight grade). He gave us a deep discount on the 2nd tow. Kevin was very professional, personable & funny. He helped to keep our spirits up through a very stressful situation. He even called us the next day to check on us! He said he knew we were low on gas & that I had 2 small children & he wanted to make sure we made it down the mountain safely & found a gas station.
