We had a very disappointing experience with K&W Windows, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering working with them to proceed with caution. First, be aware of their high pressure sales tactics. During the in home consultation we were told we would receive a significant discount, roughly a third off, but only if we put down a deposit on the spot while the salesperson was present. We were told that if we reached out after the consult, the discount would no longer apply. Unfortunately, we fell for this pressure. Since then, the experience has been nothing but frustrating. Our entry door was installed in December, and the moment the door arrived for installation we immediately flagged that it was not the door we ordered. The door did not even resemble the product shown in the sales pictures. We were promised a plugless frame door, but the one delivered had multiple visible plugs across the frame, making it look more like a $9,000 jail door than the product we believed we were purchasing. Even at that moment, neither the salesperson nor the company's management seemed to know how to handle the situation. We were told they were unsure whether the issue should be treated as a warranty claim or a product error, which was surprising considering we had just received the wrong door. Three months later, we are still waiting for a replacement, and the experience has only become more frustrating. Instead of resolving the issue, the company has spent months shifting blame internally. At one point we were told their salesperson was not properly trained to sell that product and essentially sold us something that does not exist. How that becomes the customer's problem is beyond me. The lack of accountability has been particularly disappointing. Rather than owning the mistake, we have been given conflicting explanations and delays. Today was the first time in three months that a representative from the company actually came out to inspect the door. Before this, we attempted several times to schedule visits with the original salesperson, who repeatedly confirmed appointments and then never showed up. The proposed solution from the company was even more surprising. We were told we could pay the cost of a brand new door on top of what we already paid, essentially asking us to buy another door to correct their mistake. Meanwhile, our payment was gladly accepted the day of the sale. I would also add that based on this experience, I cannot recommend ProVia as a door manufacturer. It appears they do not provide adequate training to the companies that sell their products, their catalog images and renderings are misleading compared to the actual product delivered, and there has been little accountability from anyone involved in resolving the issue. Three months later, we still do not have the door we ordered and there is no clear resolution in sight. I called to exercise my right under their lifetime window warranty. I was met with some mumbo-jumbo about how the present company purchased K&H Windows. Rather than honoring their contingent liability they disclaimed any duty to fulfill the previous companies contracts for lifetime warranty. When I called I was informend that I would have to pay for a service call of $95 and that I would also be liable for the cost of replacement glass. We bought windows from K&H over 15 years ago, and we're still spammed every three months with sales calls. I've asked repeatedly to be taken off their list, but they ignore those requests. On top of this, is after they no showed/no called when on our first appointment before we bought. We thought that it was just a fluke, but clearly it's just their extremely shoddy service in general. As for the windows, you can get the same quality at Home Depot and would be better served with using HD contractors than to use this business. I hired them in 2015 to replace my windows and siding. On 7/20/23, they were badly damaged in a hailstorm, and they were not accommodating in the leasy, and they wanted to charge me $150 to assess the damage. I told them to roll it into their estimate to my insurance company, and they said no. I'm already being penalized with a $1,300 deductible, not to mention a previous customer who spent $$$$ with them. These guys replaced every window in our house in June of 2006. Now we have a broken window that we assumed was covered by the warranty that we paid for, because it clearly says for glass breakage. In 2006 it was K&H windows & exteriors. Now they are called K&H home solutions, which I guess means that they don't have to honor the warranty. To fix one window, we were quoted $1400 at their "50% off sale price" but said we could get that with a "lifetime warranty" for an extra $100. What a joke!!!! read more

The problem is that they installed really cheap hardware on the entry door. The representative from the door company called and said that if I wanted better hardware we would have to pay for it. However, they damaged parts of our exterior facade and broke our porch light cover (original to the home), and they didn't disclose it on walk through. Can't recommend this company enough! Todd was informative, helped explain options for different areas of our home (picture windows, double hung vs large sliders, single or double screens, efficiency levels, etc.), and gave a no-pressure sales pitch. We knew due to Covid we'd be waiting a while for our windows to come in and be scheduled for install, but were happy to end up having them installed 2 months earlier than expected! Sergio and his installation team were awesome! These guys powered through our entire house (18 windows: 3 large sliders, 3 large picture windows, and 12 double hung) in about 6.5 hours to beat the snowstorm that was forecasted tonight. The work is impeccable, they cleaned every room thoroughly as they went, they made silly faces through the windows with my 5 year old as they cleaned and sealed the outside, and Sergio even went WAY above any beyond to fix a sticking door latch on our front door just because that's the kind of person he is! I ordered pizza (I like to feed people when they're working hard in my house all day) - these guys literally cleaned up lunch and put all the dishes in the sink! They gave me a full demonstration of each window type before they left and made sure I was able to see each and every window inside and out. About 4 hours after they left the snow came! So happy they were able to finish the job for us in 1 day instead of two. We're toasty warm with no leaks, drafts, or moisture between the glass...and couldn't be any happier! read more

We love the quietness of the windows. The problem for me is the customer service! I have sent pictures to our representative, Aliana, for the poor caulking that was done. No apology or how can we fix this. My husband has to paint all the inside window openings and spackle 2 or more window areas. Nothing but excuses were given by the rep and the installer Sergio. We had 24 windows installed. My husband is busy all day today fixing their mess. We have to rent scaffolding to repaint the siding. I am one very unhappy customer. I would not recommend this company for anything. All they had to do was apologize and have a reasonable offer for a solution. Our rep is not helping. I would have requested a different person had I had more information or did my due diligence on checking her out. I am not an easy customer because I do expect a professional job when paying thousands and thousands of dollars to make our house nicer. K&H Not the Solution. Two years ago at the recommendation of K&H, I had my fascia wrapped with an aluminum covering. Last winter, on two occasions, large sections blew off. K&H only provided a one year warranty on their workmanship which was extremely weak and I ended up having to pay again to have the fascia fixed. A one year warranty on construction, really? We had K&H replace the steel double doors on our house with a fiberglass ProVia double doors. The whole process was great from start to finish. The person that came over to do the initial assessment was friendly and helpful in explaining everything. We had already talked with a few other places so we had an idea of what we wanted. After ordering the door, we received texts or emails throughout the whole process of what stage the door was at, being built, being shipped, ready for install. On install day, the installers even called to let me know they may be a couple minutes outside their original install window because of traffic. The new door looks amazing and the installers did a great job buttoning everything up. I will go back to K&H for any of my door or window needs. read more

Since this "new Company" happened in apparently 2023, they no longer honor K & H's warranties. I had a bad experience with them today because they do not care about people...especially people like me who are on a fixed income. In the past they would repair or replace or otherwise address your window or door needs. They used to have e a reasonable trip charge and then subsequently take care of your particular needs. TODAY THEY CHARGE $150.00 just to come out. Then on top of that you basically pay almost full price for your window and/or door needs. So to come out and replace a patio door screen and a medium sized window is $350.00. So much for your warranty. Just a HEADS UP folks because these folks don"t even try to accommodate with a reasonable solution...There are many home solutions in terms of great companies out there. K&H Home Solutions replaced my Soffit, Facia, and Gutters a little over a year ago. They are still holding up incredibly well! I got three estimates and K&H was not cheapest but I'm really glad I picked them. Knowing that they will still be in business if I need to call them for service was worth the extra money. The scheduling was easy and they tested my existing soffit for lead paint (which it was). They showed me the test results and let me know the additional cost upfront - they also did An excellent job removing the old stuff that had lead. I couldn't be happier with my choice! Can't be bothered with repairs to their own work or other small jobs. We have had two siding projects done by K&H over the years. The quality of the work and materials are excellent. We have had one warranty call which was addressed to our satisfaction. However, when we contacted K&H to see if they would come and repair some of their metal work after it was damaged by hail, they weren't interested. They often blow off jobs as being "too small." Great service ! Had 13 new windows and 2 entry doors replaced by KH along with our siding they were very prompt , quick and clean ! Best construction installers I've seen in this market. Definitely the most professional home remodeling contractor we have dealt with on our home since living in Colorado the last 12 years , this market tends to be a bit weird for construction people compared to the Midwest where you've got handfuls of union trained craftsman it's hard to find good people or craftsman in this market. K&H is an old established company in front range probably the reason they have the best craftsman around . Most of the other guys are out of town companies who just come into this market from the East Coast and the West Coast and think they know what they're doing bringing in cheap labor and running TV commercials nonstop. First off, Sergio the window installer did an excellent job he was professional, courteous, and he cleaned up after himself. Gideon the siding/soffit/fascia installer was not a good installer. He left trash all around our house after the first day leaving water bottles, cigarette butts (we had a 3 month old newborn and they were smoking around our house), and left old siding all over the place. They left trash the second day of the install as well and they were in the process of installing the fascia. I decided to complain to the project manager Sean and he came over the next day while Gideon was at another job.. I pointed out all the trash and got yes sir and I pointed out issues with the fascia that I am spending $20,000 on. The fascia boards were uneven and did not look good with the flashing on our roof either. He took note of everything and said they would get it fixed. Gideon came over the next morning to work after I went to work and presumed to have an an argument with my wife about us complaining to the project manager. It went down hill from their. Gideon had utter lack of disrespect for us and our house from the start and it showed through his workmanship. He would leave his cousin our house and disappear for hours on end. His cousin still smoked cigarettes on our front and back porch discarding them everywhere, they ripped out one of my fence posts and gates(granted they were falling apart but still), trash, and the final product is not worth $20,000. I also had to ask K & H multiple times during the month of May to come out and install flashing over the gutters(which should have happened during the install) and fix our roofing they tore off while water was leaking through cracks into the new soffits/fascia. The issues were brought up to upper management above Sean and they tried to fix the issues but not really. They failed final inspection twice in the City and County of Denver and only passed the third time because they did a "drive by inspection." If we did not get an insurance check to cover most of the siding I would not have finished paying K & H. They will respond to this saying we had a double layered roof and our house was not level, THEN WHY DID YOU TAKE OUR JOB. I am hiring what I thought were professionals but they are not worth a dime that I gave them. I will never recommend K & H to anyone and I hope this review deters some people with going with them for there project. So many issues and I attached photos of the bad workmanship. I called k&h home solutions because my we needs replaced. Sean service manager told me that the weatherstripping that are on my windows screens are specific for my windows and they do not have any in their warehouse. His guy also looked at home depot to see if there was any there but no luck. k&h home solutions offered a lifetime guarantee on anything above the manufacture plus materials if installed by k&H home solutions. ( republic windows and doors has since gone out of business) Sean only solution was for me to go to Home Depot or Lowe's to see if I could find a weatherstripping for my screens. I was dumbfounded for the Solution he gave to me. He told me I was basically on my own because they don't have anything for my windows. For me that is not much of a solution. K&h home solutions got paid and now I have windows that I have no weatherstripping that will go around screens so they are not able to be open as bugs, moths etc are able to come right it. K&h is a referral that Tom Martino endorses. I am very disappointed. I would never recommend K&H Home solitons for any service. I have no idea what I am going to do with my screens / windows that have specific weatherstripping made for them whom K&H is choosing to do nothing. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with K&H Home Solutions. I requested an estimate from K&H (as well as about 5 other companies) to replace a large pain window which had cracked in my house. The initial estimate process was satisfactory and the rep was friendly. Ultimately, K&H quoted the best price for comparable quality of the other companies. I decided to hire K&H, paid a deposit and a rep returned to my house a couple weeks later to obtain precise measurements for the window (which had to be custom made). About a week later, I received a call from the sale rep stating that he had underquoted me dramatically because he was using the wrong price sheet. His new cost was $1,200 more than originally quoted. I asked if they were willing to honor the original quote or somehow compensate me, and was flatly denied. This information also occurred after the new year and most other companies had raised their prices, causing me considerable additional cost with other companies (that would have been a similar price prior to the new year) as well as delaying my project by months. The company did refund my deposit, though they entirely ignored my comments and feedback provided in my refund request email. This is entirely unacceptable service and a very poor customer experience. They also have several complains posted on the Better Business Bureau. read more

We had our second door installed this past month - our first one was such a great experience that we wanted to continue working with K&H. Upon installation of our second door, it was noted that this "custom" door that we waited at least 3-4 months for was not custom and that additional insulation had to be added due to a gap in door height and the available space. This was not advised to us when we initially agreed to this almost $4k door. It was disappointing to say the least, but we thought, based on our previous experience, that our sales rep and the company would want to help us understand what happened. It was discovered that there was an issue with the measurements, and we have been following up for the past month with the sales rep and any other contacts we have / can find to get a resolution, but no one will respond any longer. We will not use this company again. K&H Home Solutions cashed our deposit for a project and then forgot about us. This was our second and last time doing business with K&H Home Solutions. We had a straight forward exterior door replacement in our kitchen and wanted a high quality door to ensure our house would be insulated properly over winter. We signed the contract on 9/16/2022 and were told the process would take 13-14 weeks, putting installation at the end of December at the latest. They were very responsive and quick to send out the contract, but once the contract was signed and deposit was received they showed little to no interest in keeping the promised timeline. It took 3 weeks just to get someone out to take final measurements to order the door and would have been much longer had we not followed-up multiple times. We received a text message on 11/3/2022 that the door was ordered, 7 weeks after the contract was signed. After inquiring why it was just now ordered, we were told that the door had already been ordered and they were just updating the order to include the trim. In January, the representative from the door manufacturer (Provia) called to update me on the status, during the phone conversation I asked when he received the order from K&H, after looking it up in his system he confirmed it was received on 11/4/2022. Not only did this contractor forget to place the order, they then lied to us about it. K&H does not make the door nor do they install it, the only thing they had to do was take measurements and submit the order which they failed to do. This is not a competent or honest contractor, and I would avoid them at all costs. A simple door replacement took over 5 months to complete and would have taken longer had we not followed-up countless times. Horrible experience from start to finish. After the storm in July, I contacted K&H for an estimate. I was happy with the product and their prices were comparable to others so I signed a contract 16 Aug. Nathan advised me there would be a K&H representative out to measure my windows in the next couple days and it would be 6-8 weeks for the windows to arrive. Two days later, K&H sent out another sales rep instead of an individual to measure the windows. Not only that, but he attempted to sell me the same window for 2,000 dollars more than originally quoted. I explained I already signed a contract and he was quick to leave. Initially my insurance company did not give me enough money to fund the project. He wanted to meet with a K&H representative to understand why the windows can only be replaced and not repaired. I coordinated a meeting 6 Sep/0830 with Nationwide and K&H to come to an agreement. At approximately 0840, K&H/Nathan said he was having car trouble and would not be able to make it. I explained to the insurance adjuster that the window rep was having car issues and would like to reschedule for 8 Sep/0830. Again, the insurance adjuster showed up and again Nathan was a no-show but this time no phone call. When I called K&H customer service to find out his status, they said he was on the way, but he never showed up. Needless to say, I had to fund a majority of the project out of pocket. They finally came out to measure my windows 3 weeks later and submitted the order. I called 6 weeks from the day and they said that the order hasn't been placed yet, because the HOA is slow to process the request. I explained I personally coordinated the HOA for my roof and it only took 4 days. She changed from HOA delay to insurance delay. I said that the insurance company isn't moving forward because the sales representative was a no-show twice and I will just pay out of pocket as I would like my windows before winter. I contacted K&H multiple times and left messages, but my calls were never returned. Towards the end of the process, I would just remain on hold instead of leaving a message because it was the only way I was able to speak with anyone. My windows arrived approximately 18 Nov (I only know that because I contacted K&H). K&H representative said that she would have an installation rep contact me after the holidays to set up a date for installation. I said I would like to set up the appointment now for after the holidays, because nobody from K&H returns my calls. She said that was not policy and hung up the phone. 28 Nov, the day before installation. I contacted K&H windows to ensure that I was still scheduled for installation and to advise that I had class at 1700. I wanted to make sure that was enough time to complete the job. K&H said that my installation was cancelled and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said no, I have already taken off work and she was able to get me back on the calendar and told me to tell the installation rep upon arrival about my schedule. Installation day (nearly four months later). K&H sent one person to install 5 windows. The representative arrived on time (0900) and I explained to him that I had class at 1700 so the job would need to be complete by then. He said he didn't see any issues installing 5 windows in 8 hours. At approximately 1630, K&H/Cameron explained that he was unable to complete the job, but would return tomorrow after a different installation to finish up. At approximately 1430, I contacted K&H to find out the status of my window installation because Cameron still had not showed up. K&H said they would follow up and have Cameron contact me. He called me at 1700 and said he wouldn't be able to make it and would start first thing the next day. After taking two days off work, I was only able to get a half day off of work the third day. Cameron showed up first thing in the morning to complete the last 2 windows. He wasn't able to finish before I went to work so I left him unattended to finish. He asked me to complete the payment paperwork before I left, but I declined because I wasn't able to see the finished product. When I came home from work, I saw the "finished" installation. He used a sawzall to cut out my old windows and left multiple stray cuts on each window. The vibrations exposed screws and he just left them visible instead of repairing the dry wall. One of the windows was installed so crooked it was visible to the naked eye. I contacted K&H to find out when they planned on repairing the windows and they stated they are not responsible for touch up paint. I explained there's a difference between touch up paint and what was left for me to deal with. It wasn't until I called back and let them know I was prepared to take them to small claims court that they sent someone out to repair the damage, where I had to take a 4th day off of work. No compensation for order delay, time I missed from work or poor installation. read more

The company called to make sure both my husband and I were going to be at home when they came. I explained that I (the misses) would be handling the claim. I told the contractor that my husband's and my schedule rarely match up and that I was fully capable of handling all decisions with the project. This company has some of the worst customer service my husband and I have ever experienced. Mainly from customer care, Shawn George. The door I designed along with sidelights costing about $14k almost 2 years ago now has turned into a nightmare! First off, the handles to the security door came scratched up, Shawn told me to just wipe them off and the "scratches" will go away! I Finally talked to someone else that said they would replace them. Second, The door wouldn't close correctly because it was measured and made way off. So the company had to make another door. With the second door I decided to add glass instead of it being a solid door. The new door was just delivered last week. Well the glass has some sort of residue spots IN the glass that do not come off! It looks terrible! Shawn tells me that it's probably tape that should come off. I really couldn't believe it. I told him to come "remove" the "tape" then. He is extremely rude, doesn't seem to want to help with the issues that this company is causing! The glass is also way off in comparison to the side lights. It looks terrible! I would almost rather have the door that Was measured incorrectly and didn't close right compared to this new door. We initially found K&H because they install custom doors which our old 1905 Denver home needed and the big box home improvement stores wouldn't do. But what started with one front door has turned into new windows, a sliding back door, complete exterior siding, and new gutter installation and across the board we are very happy with all the work. We keep going back to K&H first and for most because the quality of the work by all of their installers has been outstanding but also because how easy and flexible they are to work with. Bryan always made himself available on Saturdays to fit our schedule and show us our options and gets us quotes and from there the communication is great. The company will send text messages through out the process to provide updates and any time we've had to meet with the installers they show up right on time. I would highly recommend K&H for any new door, window, siding, gutter, or roof installation. It's just a great team of incredibly very hard working people who spend the extra time to make sure the job is done right. I will continue to use them for home projects. Also, regarding the negative post I saw about Gedeon (who does the siding installation). My experience couldn't have been more different. I don't think I've ever met a harder working crew than Gedeon and his team. Because of the challenges that an old home on a small lot presents, what was expected to take three regular working days turned into five full 12 hours days including a Saturday and Sunday. And through out the entire job Gedeon couldn't have been any more professional, patient and thorough with his work. I know my job cost them a well deserved day off before their next job started but to the very end they didn't leave before everything was done right and finished to meet my (and more importantly my wife's) expectations. I do not know where to even start. So my review is not too long I will spare the yucky details and just say K&H is by far the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. There is a reason they have many unhappy reviews on here. Also check out the unsettled complaints and poor reviews on the Better Bussiness Bureau's website. Contract issues, installation issues, warranty issues are among the many on the list. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone ever. I highly recommend never to use this crooked company! they did my roof and gutters, had to do my roof twice after the first time it looked worse than the hail damage one they replaced. There crew will trample your flower gardens destroy property without a care they damage my van parked as far from the house as possible and offer gift cards for recomp. they had 40oz beer bottles in my driveway, and when done they left there trailer blocking my drive and garage ( 3inches off the door ) for three days. then they are trying to put a lean on house when agreed they would get paid when ins inspection was done and they cut me a check. this is the worse company I ever dealt with I give them a -10 starsa if possible read more

Lied about pretty much everything. Please do not use! Overview: Out right lied about warranty Dishonest about installation First off let me just say I NEVER write reviews. Ever. And it has taken me a while to even write about this one as my feeling about K and H needed time to be fully expressed. As first time home buyers and a young family I worked very hard at where to get the best quality windows and not spend a fortune for replacement. We got estimates from several different companies and I diligently looked at reviews to see if I would be cheated. We went with K and H who was in the middle of the range of estimates and had great online reviews. Out right lied about warranty: When we purchased our windows we were told we would be set for life with them. AKA the writing on the front of our contract reads LIFETIME GUARANTEE. We were told that in 15 years if our windows didn't work any more, if they were cracked, if the gas leaked through the windows, if my child took a bat and smashed a window we would be covered. Same in 50 years as long as we owned our house. We signed our contract in January 2014. Had our windows installed in March of 2014. And when I called to inquire about a few fixes in July 2014 I was told our warranty was now void. Imagine my shock when Armaclad the exclusive company for K and H when out of business just 3 months after we had those windows installed. The same company K and H STILL say they exclusively deal with on their website apparently is the actual one that honors a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. I was furious, I was lied to and the service caller I talked to could care less. Basically I should have known that Armaclad was out of business and their was nothing K and H would do about my new windows that they literally installed 4 months before. Perhaps, and this is literally what they K and H costumer representative told me "if there are a few spare parts that we have in the back that could help we could maybe repair your window" Let me just reiterate that the company Armaclad that actually honors the contract is still on K and H's website as being their exclusive window manufacturer. When I just blatantly asked if they knew they were installing windows which would be basically useless to me if something were to happen in the next few months I was told of course not. I think that is total BS. How could they not know that their primary window manufacturer was in financial straights and was going under. And if they did know, how can a company that prides itself of installing top quality windows and a family oriented business not feel obligated to be honest about the warranty they were bringing. Lets not even gloss over the fact that our windows already needed some work. Mainly that one of our vertical windows no longer stays up, once you push it up it randomly quickly sides back down again. Which for a mother of a rambunctious toddler with no air conditioning who relies on the breeze through open windows is terrifying. Images of my girls head or body part getting stuck underneath the window when I am not looking because it slammed down keeps me up at night. Dishonest about installation: During our estimate we were told time and time again about how important it is to have the right company install your windows and K and H touted about how their installers where the best. We were wrapped up in an image of K and H making sure our windows and our home got the best treatment. Flash forward to the day of installation and the people that installed our windows were random outsourced handy men with their own company. Basically I could have bought my own windows and hired a few random people to install it for me. K and H is basically a third party company who neither makes nor installs their product. We were even told to just call the handy man himself for any touch ups as it would be easier to get things fixed. In conclusion I purchased 9 grand worth of windows that may last a year or twenty and when something goes wrong, I am completely alone. Think about that when you start writing a check to K and H. Ask who they still get windows from if their sales are really just extra windows from a now out of business company. They are a completely dishonest company that lies about pretty much everything they do with your windows. In my opinion - STAY AWAY. read more

I had 6 windows installed yesterday by K&H and I could not have had a better experience. The guys were awesome and it is obvious they take pride in the job they do. At first I had read Yelp reviews and almost did not go with them because they were so negative. Every bit of this experience was good. The customer service is outstanding they were honest and did everything they said they would. Everything was explained to me in layman terms they cleaned up so well you never would have known they were here. The windows are beautiful and the job they did is flawless. So nice to find a company that really does care. read more
