After taking my X-rays, they carefully explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I also watched a pre-procedure instruction video, which helped me understand what to expect. When I met Dr. Kim, he was professional, clear, and straightforward. He explained my treatment options concisely and also pointed out potential risks related to my other teeth. After discussing everything together, we decided to take a conservative approach -- remove the wisdom teeth first and monitor the other teeth to see if they could recover over time. I really appreciated being involved in the decision-making process. The surgery itself was excellent. It was my first time receiving anesthesia and having teeth extracted, and I can honestly say I felt absolutely no discomfort. Dr. Kim removed both wisdom teeth efficiently and skillfully. (Yes, I could hear the drill and some hammering sounds -- which was a little funny -- but I felt zero pain.) After the procedure, I followed the instructions carefully, took the prescribed medication, and applied ice as recommended. It's now the second day, and I have no pain at all -- not even noticeable swelling. This is actually the longest Yelp review I've ever written, but I truly felt it was deserved. Well obviously I wanted to go back to her to fix it not another doctor. Then without even looking at my tooth while I'm in pain, the tables turned and she said it was actually very difficult and that I needed to be charged for the fix, after I was already told she could fix it and that it was "easy" for the other doctor. This dentist is clearly greedy and just looking to squeeze as much money out of her patients as possible. She doesn't like to fix the work she messed up in the first place.

It was a little tricky to find the place, since the building isn't labeled and it's on the second floor. Once inside, the office looked a little outdated and old. The staff was fairly nice. For the initial visit, they did x-rays (their technology is older, and they didn't give a full body protection cloak like other dental offices, only a neck protection). Then, Dr. Shah reviewed the x-rays, checked for TMJ, and signs of oral cancer and provided recommendations for fillings. Dr. Shah was very nice and seemed to be thorough and wasn't pushy about having me complete all the recommended services. The recommendation for a cavity filling was strange as I hadn't had a cavity since I was a kid, and my dental hygiene has been consistent. The office was transparent about the expected costs (a little over $100 for a routine cleaning and debridement), but I just opted for the routine cleaning this time. The cleaning ($5) was average. It included the polish, minor scaling, and flossing. It was definitely a step up from Western Dental, but wasn't as thorough as previous places I've been to. No tooth brushing or fluoride. My teeth didn't feel very clean afterwards. Overall appointment including filling out paperwork and waiting was around 1.5 hours. Average experience here.
