When I met Dr. Kim, he was professional, clear, and straightforward. He explained my treatment options concisely and also pointed out potential risks related to my other teeth. After discussing everything together, we decided to take a conservative approach -- remove the wisdom teeth first and monitor the other teeth to see if they could recover over time. I really appreciated being involved in the decision-making process. The surgery itself was excellent. It was my first time receiving anesthesia and having teeth extracted, and I can honestly say I felt absolutely no discomfort. Dr. Kim removed both wisdom teeth efficiently and skillfully. My parents told me that they were shocked by how quickly Dr. Yang finished the extraction. After the removal, he gave my parents his phone number so that we could call or text him if we had any questions. When something came up late at night, my dad sent him a text. We honestly didn't expect an answer until the next morning since it was near midnight, but he answered almost immediately.

They wheel chaired me out to my car and gave me post op instructions. Dr. Yang also gives you his personal number which you can text or call anytime if you need help after the surgery. I had my wisdom teeth removed (at 25 years old) by him last year and had lost feeling in the lower quadrant of my jaw because of the way the tooth roots grew into my nerve. He told me not to worry and though sometimes patients don't regain feeling most will after a year or two. He also said he would see me however many times I wanted him to at no cost to me until I felt comfortable. This made me feel he was very confident he'd done the procedure well and cared for my long term well being. I did about 2 or 3 follow ups and he saw me every time. I have now gained all feeling back in my jaw and am so grateful to have found Dr. Yang.

We felt so comfortable that we decided to do the procedure the same day. He also offered PRF plasma treatment to help support healing after the extraction. Although it wasn't covered by insurance, we decided it was worth trying and I truly believe it helped minimize the swelling and improved healing. The procedure which was done under general anesthesia only took about 35 minutes! The first few days afterwards were tough with icing, pain meds, and a liquid diet but my daughter had no swelling and healed perfectly. Very grateful for such a smooth experience. I have had my share of dental work from fillings, root canal, extraction/exposure, orthodontic work and all of these experiences have caused me pain afterwards so I was afraid of getting work done! But with Dr. goo for my wisdom extraction I had NO pain. Everyone was telling me how much it was going to hurt post op, and their experiences with wisdom teeth removal. I took no pain medication other than 1 ibuprofen on the day of for my first extraction. I'm on day 2 of my second extraction procedure and I have no swelling and no pain, again! I really believe this speaks to his surgical precision and technical acumen as a surgeon. He is definitely highly skilled and experienced. He is professional, he listens, and he is really kind! When I spoke to him pre op I felt relief because he listened to my concerns and really remembered a lot. Also Bobby the surgical technician is so awesome she really helped me with my apprehension and nerves pre op. I had to have two wisdom extraction procedures, as Dr. Goo determined best to take out my teeth one side at a time. The first time was for a full boney horizontal impact, which required bone grafting. I did iv sedation for this procedure, it was pretty quick. I felt no pain the day of and the following days after. I did feel a little nauseous from the sedation, and during apparently I was moving my head, so for the second procedure he opted that i try local. (Everyone has a different reaction to sedation, mine just so happened to make me not sit still) but my recovery was smooth sailing! The easy recovery removed all anxiety I had for my second procedure. My second op was yesterday I did this one with the local. It was definitely interesting to be awake this time but it was very very easy. It was only mildly uncomfortable in the same way it is when you get your teeth cleaned. He removed an infected wisdom tooth with a deformation this time. Being alert I got to see both Bobby and Dr.Goo working their magic. They were really in a good flow together and she was very attentive to me and quick to directions that Dr.Goo gave. It felt like he was having fun while operating on my mouth. It took him probably 15 minutes to remove my teeth. To be honest, if your teeth are not impacted and you aren't weirded out by dental work go with local, it is not scary at all. He's quick, he tells you what he's doing, and the music was nice to listen to. He also added in some growth factor from my blood into the socket which was cool to see. When he was drawing my blood I felt no pain as well (I've had blood drawn by phlebotomists and it hurt) he's very good at everything he does. When he drew my blood it felt like a mosquito bite lol so painless. My sutures are really really minimal, I barely feel anything, his work is very clean and precise. Everything from consultation, to pre-op to post op, and recovery was so smooth and I am extremely happy I would give more stars if I could. This was the best medical/dental experience I have ever had. I'm very grateful I found them!

I could hear him in the next room chit chatting. When he finally saw me he said I needed a CT scan to determine how close the nerves were to my lower wisdom teeth. He kept saying I waited too long to get my teeth pulled (I have serious surgery anxiety) and I don't have a time machine to go back in time to get my teeth pulled. In any case, I had time to take the additional scans but I wouldn't have time to wait for him to make his rounds again. He said he would review the scans to determine the risk level, make a recommendation and give me a call. I didn't have to schedule the surgery date as the front office had already scheduled my surgery appt when I scheduled the consultation. Fast forward about 4 days and it's the day of the surgery. There was a mix up with the anti anxiety medication that was prescribed caused by the office / CVS and after multiple phone calls, I had to forego the prescription and head to the office for surgery. When I checked in, I stated he never called me about whether I would be getting 2 or 4 impacted wisdom teeth pulled. They assured me that he would discuss it with me. They take me back to the room and the dental assistant does her best to calm my nerves. She was really sweet. After 20+ min, the oral surgeon enters the room and I ask whether he made a decision as to whether it was too risky, he stated again that was why I shouldn't have waited so many years to get my teeth pulled. Then he said I made the appt to get all 4 teeth pulled. I panicked. I let him know my surgery was scheduled before I even had my consultation. I asked him for his recommendation. He said there was risk either way. Under extreme anxiety and no time to think it out, I made the decision to go with all 4. I knew I'd never have the nerve to go through this again. He administered the anesthesia himself and I was knocked out. Why did I have to pay additional $$ to get CT scans that weren't even used? The surgery went seemingly okay. I was sent home with multiple pages of instructions (that happened to contradict each other) but was able to call the office for follow up questions. After the shots wore off, I had no feeling in my lower gums, lower lip and chin. My first follow up visit was pretty pointless as the oral surgeon wasn't even there. I went back another week later for a second follow up, and spoke to the oral surgeon. He stated he never saw the nerves during surgery so it was odd that I was so numb. He also let me know that whatever feeling hadn't returned in 4 months, wouldn't likely return. It's been 4 months, full feeling has not returned yet. I guess I just have to live this way. Overall, I couldn't recommend this surgeon. I know it could have been worse but it could have gone a lot better. There was too much confusion, not enough follow through and the outcome was less than desirable.
