Dr. Mita is an incredibly knowledgeable dentist who always puts her patients first. She is kind, warm, and always takes the time to make sure you feel cared for and comfortable. She even met me at midnight on a Friday once to fix some serious pain I was having and followed up the next day to make sure I was doing ok. This wasn't a one off either. The office placed a crown on a wisdom tooth! And that was never even part of our original treatment plan. According to our new dentist, this procedure was completely unnecessary. We were charged over $1,000 out of pocket (more than $3,000 before insurance) for something that shouldn't have been done. They also took an excessive number of X-rays--18 before a routine cleaning, and many more afterward just to "check" their work. For simple fillings, they removed far more tooth structure than expected, leaving the tooth hollow and then recommending crowns as a follow-up. While the staff appears friendly, it often feels like they are pushing as many procedures as possible rather than prioritizing what is truly necessary for the patient. read more

Best experience I've had at any dental office, this is probably the 6th office I've changed to due to either a) my new office location b) wfh c) dissatisfaction Location - most dental offices I've been to are located inside some medical building. I have to turn into a huge parking lot, find parking, walk into the building, take an elevator and navigate through mysterious hallways. This one's convenient, located in a retail shopping center. Easy parking, easy in/out. Scheduling/Wait - no issues. Saw them twice already. Both times I had an appointment booked. I was late 15 min the first time bc I was on a call and went to the wrong bldg, showed up and they took me in right away. 2nd time I showed up early and waited less than 5 min. Environment - office is very clean, comfy, soft lighting. Front staff is very kind and explained coverage thoroughly. Offered water and soda water. TVs on ceiling for viewing your favorite show (they even go as far as to asking what show you like on their new patient form so they can tune in for you). Communication - Dr Mita did my examination and Dr Ahn performed my first deep cleaning, provided numbing injection and also fixed my chipped tooth. They were both extremely thorough with over communicating what's being done, why and how they're going to do it every step of the way. Execution - numbing was provided by Dr Ahn in stages to mitigate as punch pain as possible, she did a fantastic job of fixing my chipped tooth which has been bothering me for years and it looks completely natural. She also rounded out my front teeth with permission because she felt it would look better. Very friendly throughout entire process. After she completed the deep clean, showed me before and after and explained what I can expect from the healing process. They will also be monitoring how well my gums heal to determine whether or not I need to do 3 vs 4 vs 6 months check ups. read more

I have been a patient for a year. For the past year the experience has been amazing that I even referred my wife, but I can't speak for the same experience in 2025. Since 2025 we have had many scheduling issues related to our appointments. First my wife was scheduled for 3/15/25 and then in the last week we got a text message asking to confirm our appointment for 1/15/25, an appointment that was never made by us. Then she was told that her 3/15/25 appointment is cancelled and that she would be moved to 3/22/25, okay that's fine at least we fixed this issue months out. Well just a week before I got a text message saying to confirm my 1/18/25 appointment or there would be penalty fees. Now I'm getting a text message saying that my 1/18/25 appointment is cancelled and they would like to reschedule me, which is okay but at least let me know in advance? They offered to reschedule me to 2/8/25 but I already have prior commitments. I think this office is now facing severe staffing shortages, and when I called to speak to Tamara her response was "well, what would you like me to do?" My response: 1) let your patients know in further in advance if cancellations are going to happen 2) show a bit of professionalism at least? 3) make the correct appointments for patients so manpower is not wasted and an appointment slot that another patient could be used is not taken by someone who does not need it? Honestly, Trooth & Smiles was the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. For starters, the facility is so modern, comforting, and gorgeous. Usually dental offices aren't cute, but I loved how aesthetically pleasing Trooth & Smiles is! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and catering, and the dentist seems to genuinely care for her patients. The dentist sat me down, made conversation with me, and compassionately discussed my health record and concerns I had with my teeth. I never at any point felt rushed by the dentist. I also loved how transparent the dentist and hygienist were, taking their time to help me understand the signs of my teeth and showing me photos and x rays. I felt so comfortable here, and I ESPECIALLY loved how I was able to watch my favorite show on Netflix while they cleaned my teeth! This dental office started off as a nice family owned, pleasant local dentist office. They even had Saturday appointments unlike other offices that make you take time off work to go to the dentist. Over the last few years I've seen it deteriorate into a cold, understaffed practice overseen by a rude and condescending owner. I've had appointments cancelled last minute multiple times, I've had times where I'm receiving treatment and then the owners friends show up and she has kids running around in the office and room while she carries on personal conversations that made me uncomfortable. I could go on. I've been left alone in the room in the middle of a filling with a hole drilled in my teeth waiting for the filling while the dentist leaves to go do a whole other appointment because they overbooked. Every time it's time for an appointment , I'm left shocked at the lack of professionalism or care for their patients. Their front desk receptionist along with other staff positions have been a revolving door with someone new each time you go. I can only imagine how awful it is to work here for "Dr" Mita. They don't have any respect for patients time and they gave me the run around. I had a simple form that needed to be filled out and they took forever. My new dentist handled a specialist referral same day without half the hassle that this place gave me. During my first visit here at this office, i had to schedule my cleaning for another day because they took a long time doing my exam. My new dentist Dr. Justin spent over an hour addressing my concerns in depth, yet I was still able to get my cleaning done the same day because they respect my time. This Office is busy and they seem understaffed. It's also a new office so I think they're still stumbling around trying to figure out logistics. Dr. Mita is knowledgeable but most of the time you won't even see her and will get an associate dentist anyways because she's too busy. She also seems to have an ego, and compares herself to other dental providers . If you question any of their office policies they get dismissive and ban you. I have visited Trooth & Smiles 3 times. And there will be more. I have really good experience with Trooth & Smiles so far. My first appointment was for general examination. Thank you, Dr.Mita for spending time and explaining all details regarding my teeth's health. We went over the x-ray images and teeth's pictures, and Dr.Mita explained all of the details on the pictures patiently. And she gave all the information and what to expect on the following up appointments. My second appointment was for filling. My tooth had cavities inside the old filling, and it's really close to the nerve. Dr.Mita had explained me before the appointment that she would need to give me pain control during the procedure. Before the appointment, I received a consent form and price. The procedure went really well. I didn't feel pain or anything at all. And she paid attention to all of the details. Ok, here is the honest "trooth" of the matter from start to finish as a New Patient. Booking an appointment, filling out new patient forms, appointment reminders, etc. are all electronic, which is nice. Walking in their office, I was their first patient of the day. The whole dental office is new and looks like a spa (apparently they opened 6 months ago). As a new patient, Dr. Mita brought me into an office (not the exam chair) and just chatted about my background, etc... This was all well and good but I thought that it was time wasted. Dear reader, my fears came true. When I was finally seated in the chair and finished the long initial examination, Dr. Mita asked me if I wanted a cleaning first or discuss the findings first. I chose to discuss the findings thinking to get that outta the way and by the time we finished that, I expected to have my cleaning. Right? No! Apparently, my teeth needed a "moderate cleaning" which will be done next time. Excuse me? Didn't you just give me a choice to have a cleaning or discuss findings first? If I chose a cleaning, then we wouldn't have time to discuss findings? To be clear, I did not have any cavities at all. Honestly, I thought she was trying to get me out of there because she didn't manage her time well. On the way out, another new patient was waiting so this was obviously a problem with scheduling, short of staff, and/or time management issues. Overall, this place definitely looks and functions like a startup trying to reinvent the dentistry "experience" rather than focusing on the true hallmark of dentistry, which is good, honest dental work. About a month ago my 2 year old experienced dental trauma resulting in 1 extraction at choc and another tooth needing extraction at a later date (TDB)...the quote for his future dental work was huge and I definitely need a 2nd opinion before moving forward with a plan to sedate my 2 year old for 2+ hours to get this type of work done. So today I took him to Trooth & Smiles. After talking with the dentist at a school event last week, I felt good about having her give a 2nd opinion and reviewing his current treatment plan before I agreed to the sedation etc. My son is extremelyyyyy traumatized (understandably) with dentistry at this point and pretty much refuses to let anyone (including me) look in his mouth. Dr. Mita was so incredibly sweet and patient with him and he eventually let her look inside his mouth (a big win!). She discussed all options with me, giving me advise on some alternatives and gave me lots of tips on how I can help him feel more comfortable with teeth cleaning at home etc, and also reviewed his current treatment plan and explained it all in more detail for me so I could understand the rationale of the other dentist. HOWEVER my husband is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL of service providers and can't stand to spend hundreds or more without being extra sure it's absolutely necessary and honest. (He's the smarter one, lol) I admire his ability to stand up for himself. Yet, it has caused us to leave multiple offices, switch dentists and basically, go over a year without treatment for him. Am I that picky/stern/willing to call offices out on their misleading pricing? Diagnostics? Upsales? No!!! I wouldn't ever go more than 6 months without a cleaning for our kids. He's another story. All this to say, my husband has made me super critical of any dentist and I took it upon myself to schedule an appointment with the most comprehensive, reliable provider I could find. We were looking for a new dentist since our last one was no longer contracted with our insurance. I was a little apprehensive at first being that it's a relatively new office. I was pleased surprised. Dr. Mira is a great listener, informative, and nice. She gave me an assessment of my teeth and treatment plan and ask what was important to me. Some people may feel that the initial one on one time is a waste of time but personally I liked it. I've had a teeth cleaning and a filling done. THE most thorough dentist I've ever had. Everyone there is so incredibly nice - so so nice! She's very gentle and has state of the art technology and stunning office.
