I was a dental nomad for a few years after my previous dentist retired. It was really difficult for me to find a new place I liked. I was recommended to check out Clear Dental from my orthodontist, Updike Orthodontics and so far I really love it here. I wanted to share my experience of my past few visits and treatments. 1. CLEANING: As I mentioned before, I had roamed around from dental office to dental office for my cleanings for a few years. When I got my first cleaning done at Clear Dental, Dr Mazhari was very persistent with removing tartar on my teeth to the point my teeth were sore after. She said there were years of buildup which means my past cleanings were not done thoroughly! Yes it was a pain for her to do and for me to sit through but at least I know now my teeth are super clean! 2. FILLING: I have a few fillings in my teeth that were so old that I didn't even remember I had them. One of them was getting rough and felt scratchy so I asked if I could just get all my fills redone so they're new. But Dr Mazhari said no, only one of them (the rough one) actually need to be replaced and advised against me getting the other fills done. I felt like she was an honest dentist that could be trusted. 3. BOOST WHITENING: I did this treatment a few days ago and wanted to wait a few days before posting my review. I got this done immediately after my cleaning which gets you the best results. Its my first time getting my teeth whitened so I went with the Boost which is the more mild option. Just a heads up the pain on the first day was BRUTAL. I had no idea it would be that painful so I didnt plan ahead. Make sure to get the treatment done on a day off or a day without any plans. For me, it was distracting while I was driving and I had a headache and highly irritable the entire day. Another thing is I got it done when the weather got super hot but you cannot drink cold drinks due to the sensitivity. Even lukewarm water hurt my teeth a little so I was thinking maybe it's better to do it in the fall months? But the air will be colder which also hurts your teeth. So think about that and pick your battle! Lastly, if you're a coffee addict like me... beware you cannot drink coffee or any other food or drink that has color for 48-72 days! That caused me to have massive headaches and really affected my day to day. I made it to hour 66 before having my coffee again and I'm so proud of myself LOL Overall, I dont know if I would do this again. I had good results (refer to photo: left side is the after/result, right side is the before) but I don't know if it was worth the pain. Maybe I would do it if I had a long weekend and made sure I didn't have any plans. read more

Great experiences every time. I started coming here back in November as this is one of the very few places that take my insurance (United Concordia for Active Duty). The office staff is very friendly and super accommodating in navigating the strict rules in submitting claims to my difficult (and lowest paying) insurance. I appreciate their extra time and effort in getting my care covered. Most other places have dropped my insurance (and me) rather than trying to figure it out. The cleaning was really thorough and the Doctor addressed my very first cavity and filling with empathy and care. There is never a long wait and they try to accommodate your schedule. Clear Dental is the finest dentist my family has been to. The doctor- she is so nice and takes the time to explain the procedures to whatever depth you want and remembers each patient. Dr. Mazhari is one of the most gentle and OCD (thank god) dentists I have ever been to. She was recommended to me by a friend and I first visited her just for a cleaning, as her office is near my office, so it was convenient. Her office is gorgeous and her staff is so sweet and attentive. From the front desk girls, to my favorite hygienist, Lori, everyone is great. After my first cleaning, we started talking about replacing my two lateral veneers, which had started to crack and discolor after about 15 years. I was nervous to start over and color match, not to mention I was terrified of the removal process and what lies beneath. Dr. Mazhari started by bleaching my natural teeth to achieve the shade that I wanted, in order to match my new veneers. She gave me her opinion of the shape she recommended and we made minor adjustments and went with a collaborative option! On the day of my permanent installation, she actually brought the lab owner who made my actual veneers, so that he could be there if I had any questions, or if I wanted to make any adjustments. Y'all about world class service and attention to detail. I've always gotten compliments on my teeth and now even more so. I am so happy with my results and will be a patient for life. Been a patient for over 5 years and I love it. I found this place when I used to live around the corner and continued to come even after I've moved to Santa Ana. I used to have a lot of sensitivity with teeth and issues due to grinding and have not dealt with it in a long time. The doctor is kind and I always feel very taken care of. Last visit she immediately noticed my mouth my drier than usual due to a new medication I am taking and was able to explain what problems this could cause for my teeth health and suggest both over the counter and prescription solutions. Also, Maria is at the front desk and who I usually chat with on the phone and she's always very sweet and accommodating and Sierra was the dental assistant that took care of me last visit and she made the experience fun and comfortable! read more

I would like to strongly recommend Dr. Mazhari as a fantastic dentist. Dr. Mazhari is a caring dentist who does fantastic quality work (I had a deep cleaning, 3 fillings and a crown over the last 2 months). She makes sure to stop during the session to ask if I'm uncomfortable and makes sure that I have no pain. Her staff also follows up the next day to make sure that everything is fine. I am amazed at my results! My teeth are SUPER WHITE! The team at Clear Dental is phenomenal in every way! Their crew is incredibly warm, gentle and welcoming! At every point my specialist checked if I was comfortable and if my massaging chair was working! Doctor Joe is the best dentist I've been to so far. I've had people yank molars out as a kid unprompted when they weren't even wiggling, I've had 104-105 degree fevers from getting wisdom teeth removed elsewhere, and had my teeth hurt from really aggressive cleaning. Clear Dental deserves more than 5 stars if I possible. Here's my recent experience: Earlier in the year I had a cleaning performed by a new dental practice in Manhattan. During the examination, this new dentist identified a chipped upper molar that needed to be fixed. I had been holding off on fixing this tooth until I was sufficiently confident that the dentist would be able to fix this tooth. However, to my horror, this new dentist botched my filling and I was left a sensitive bite. I went back to this office to get the filling adjusted but because this new dentist was so aggressive in contouring the filling, I decided that he had no interest in fixing the teeth so I decided to find a new dental office with a more competent dentist to fix the filling (nearly 12 months later!). I was depressed thinking that I would require a root canal to fix this botched filling. In previous years, I was a patient of Dr. Druz's dental office and decided to give them a call. I was informed that Dr. Druz had recently sold his practice to Dr. Song. I explained my situation to Dr. Song who encouraged me to come in so that he can examine the filling to see if he can fix it while assuring me that if he personally could not handle it that he would send me over to Dr. Druz who had previously handled all of my dental procedures (to perfection!) through the years. I decided to to come into Clear Dental and let Dr. Song diagnose my botched filling. Dr. Song not only fixed the the filling but did not charge me for the procedure because he informed me that the "procedure" was so minor that he did could not charge me in good conscience! All that was needed was PROPER contouring of the filling which Dr. Song took diligence in performing. I cannot thank Dr. Song enough! Dr. Druz's previous dental practice is in excellent hands of Dr. Song's practice under "Clear Dental". And Michelle, the hygienist, gave me an excellent cleaning as well. read more

Dr. Mazhari and her staff are a rare find: experienced, passionate about their work and have the best bedside manners! They go beyond and above and I couldn't be happier with their service. I love Clear Dental. It's in a great business​ park in a nice part of Irvine. The Dental office is in the front of the building and it's the first office on the right, so it's really easy to find. The office itself is beautiful. The waiting area has some cool modern couches, a flat screen and water fridge. Very lounge-y feeling and not so scary clinical. Also parking is never an issue, which is really convenient. Dr. Mezhari is the sweetest person. She's very personable and takes time to explain what needs to be done and why it needs to be done. She's really ethical as well, I never feel like she's trying to up-sell me or make me do anything that I don't want to. Lori, her assistant is very kind . I love how gentle she is with my mouth. I really enjoy talking to both of them! I feel like I'm coming to a friend's house when I go to the office, it's just a really comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I have gotten a cleaning and a few fillings fixed. I am also in an Express Invisalign treatment. The services were done very quickly, and I actually got all of my work done in one day. Except the actual trays, but I was fitted for them and they came within a month. I've had a few posts fall off, as they do, and they never have an issue fitting me in for things like that. I love how comfortable the rooms are. The chairs are heated and have a massage feature which I had never heard of but I think its awesome! The office plays modern hits at a comfortable level, which is nice when they're working on your teeth. When the doctor was explaining my treatments to me she showed me my plan on a flat screen in the room that was easy to see. I liked that it was all laid out in front of me. I knew exactly what I was getting and what was going to happen. This is really unique, I don't think this happens to everyone but I had an unexpected death in the family. I was in the chair when I got the call. Dr. Mezhari and Lori were so understanding. We were almost done with the treatment so I stayed for the 5 minutes it took to finish and cried in the chair. They made me as comfortable as I could be, Lori even wiped away my tears when I was laying back, so thoughtful. They didn't make me feel dumb and were so understanding. I came home from the services for my Grandmother and I found a sympathetic card from them. I really felt like they went above and beyond to make me feel like they cared. As long as I live in Southern California, I will always come to Clear Dental, because they truly care about me. read more

I became a new patient of Dr Mazhari recently for initial reason that Clear dental is very close to Sons & Daughters Ortho, in which I just got my braces installed. I was desperately looking for dentist near my Ortho because removing wire before teeth cleaning is ideal. Honestly I was little skeptical about clear dental just because it is new to me. I was first very impressed with office design and new equipment. Surprisingly Dr Mazhari gave very clear explanation about my X-ray and no dentists in my life had ever bothered to mention tooth structure to me. I ended up getting periodontal maintenance even I asked for deep cleaning because doctor said deep cleaning is not needed after she carefully examined my teeth, I was shock for her honesty. Later l learned the most valuable asset of Dr Mazhari is that she has the gentlest hands. Thru the entire course of my periodontal maintenance I did not feel any pinch pain or irritations, I just found my new and long term dentist. She spent at least 15 minutes to remove very bit of my coffee stain which made me feel sorry. I even got a gift card at the end along with some freebies. I really respect her extremely care for my teeth appearance. I strongly and positively recommend Doctor Mazhari to anyone looking for a better dentist. read more
