DO NOT TRUST THEM. Here is my experience. Last December, I went in because I have a loose/mobile tooth. They took an X-ray. The dentist told me that she saw a shadow in the root of that tooth. She said it was a cavity. She claimed that the only solution was to extract the tooth and do an implant. They just conveniently have an implant specialist in the same office that sees patients once a month. I said sure, I can talk to the specialist and see if it's even necessary to do implant at all. As I was trying to make an appointment with the specialist, I was told that I had to have an MRI for my teeth before I could even see the specialist. And they were really trying to sell the implant to me. At that point, I grew suspicious so I just left. Fast forward, I went to a different dentist with the X-ray that was taken previously. This new dentist said there's nothing wrong with my teeth in the X-ray. Out of precaution, he took a new X-ray for the mobile tooth. Again, nothing wrong. Yep, I was being defrauded. So, do not come here if you don't want to lose a completely perfect tooth and replace it with an implant that you never needed. read more

I had an issue with crowding in my teeth, specifically my canine. I had gone to several dentist to see what could be done to fix them. Each time, different doctors recommended taking out 4 teeth and getting braces. From x-rays, they found I had very small roots and advised me to not proceed with any procedure because pressure (from braces) could potentially cause my teeth to fall out. Not to mention, if I had gotten the 4 teeth removed, I would have gaps in my teeth from stopping the treatment. I had gotten several consultations like this throughout the years and was about to give up. When I was around 28 years old, I decided to try out OC Dental Specialist and thought this would be my last try for another opinion. From very first appointment, all their staff have been so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Nina Sharma was extremely helpful and understanding of my unique situation. She recommended Invisalign to slowly move my teeth, paying special attention to my small roots. She worked out the best solution for me WITHOUT removing any teeth. After about 1.5 -2 years, my teeth look amazing and the crowding was fixed. I don't usually write Yelp reviews but I'm going out of my way to write this one. I got a cosmetic procedure done (teeth bonding) at this clinic 2 years ago by Dr Sharma. At the time, I went in asking for said procedure due to the chipped tooth..they said theyd want me to get a full mouth cleaning done before they did anything. I politely said no and they were willing to do the bonding anyway which was great. Twelve hours after the procedure I realized they hadn't smoothed out the back of my tooth.. I went in the next day to get it fixed..they fixed it. A year later the bonding literally just came off..the bonding I had gotten prior to that lasted 12 years. I then came back to the clinic a year later with the chipped tooth and they said they won't fix it unless I get other procedures done first (cleaning etc). I could tell they were in it for the quick cash grab. I said no..and referenced the last time I got the bonding done where they didn't require a full clean. Their logic was "This would go against everything they've been taught in dental school". I said okay.. what about last time then? Their answer to that was muddled and wishy washy. I told them I'll just go to a different clinic. As I left the waiting room, they said they'd be willing to do it without the cleaning..but at this point I realized this clinic is just in it for the money. I literally walked out of there and called a neighboring dental clinic.. went in.. and within 20 minutes I was out of that clinic with a new bonding that required no touch-ups. Stay away from this clinic if you don't want a dentists who is just in it for the money and some extra billing. read more

Office bribes $20 gift cards for 5 star yelp reviews. These reviews were all bought. Updating my review: I paid off everything, received in writing a $0 balance on my ledger and EOB. Keep getting harassing calls every few months "Oops, we forgot to charge for this." I am cooperative so I pay the $200 extra or so. 6 months later they "forgot" some other charges, so I pay again, hoping to be done with them for good. If I owe money, I'll pay it. I haven't seen her in over 2 years but her office is asking for extra $600! At this point, no longer blindly paying, I send over their bill to my dental insurance to check their numbers, dental insurance showed where they double and tripled billed me. Don't be TOO NICE and just pay small amounts again and again like I did. Send their bill to your professional dental insurance to verify their numbers. It is your insurance's responsibility to verify on your behalf. ASK FOR A RECEIPT AS WELL AS A LEDGER/EOB for everytime you pay! That is evidence. If they quote you one thing, that should be final. read more

I recently had a dental emergency and called multiple dental offices for a same day appointment but I didn't have any luck until I contacted OC Dental Specialists. Scheduling an appointment was easy; I called on Saturday and was in on Monday morning. The office is cozy and pleasant, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Amariya (I'm so sorry if I flubbed your name) helped keep me calm and lighthearted during the x-rays, and we got through it as a team. Meeting Dr. Sharma really put my mind at ease. She's a calm, confident professional who speaks of dental care as a combination of hygiene and preventative maintenance. Laurie (sp sorry) helped talk me through the first steps of my care plan, and despite a little hiccup in communication, I was done in an hour. I appreciate the kindness and the professionalism of Dr. Sharma and her staff, and while I'm nervous to get my teeth cleaned and get my wisdom teeth removed, I'm confident that I've discovered a team who can help make my dental work as pain-free and as anxiety-free as possible. Update! Two root canals later, and Dr. Sharma and team are now calling me brave (take that, Mom and Dad). 95% of the process was pain-free, and aside from a few aches here and there, I feel like I have a new quadrant of teeth. Everyone hates the dentist!!! I get it, but after putting it off so long, I finally ended up with a toothache! I reluctantly called, and on a Friday afternoon, after calling so many other offices to get in ASAP, they happily said come on over! It literally was just like that. So, A+ to my initial phone conversation, she put me at ease right away, saying I called the right place and just asked how long it would take me to get there so they could prepare for my arrival. I was like "what?" Yeah, so before hanging up she informed me that they charge a flat fee of $150 to include any necessary xrays or other diagnostics and included the exam and would let me know what the problem is, how to fix and how much. I have insurance and since this was emergency, she said the cost is still the same but that they will bill insurance and I would get reimbursed ruses if covered. CANT BEAT THAT! I was happy to just be able to be seen. After filling out paperwork, and btw the office is gorgeous and very inviting, I was told they have a full schedule but will work me in, I only waited 20 minutes, they took the X-ray, Dr Nina came right in and explained I have deep decay and need a root canal. But she also thoroughly explained why and then really actually took the time to get o know me! I was shocked, she is sooooo nice and calm and funny and I feel like she's my new best friend! I was so relieved. Next they drew up the costs, got my prescriptions and availability with the specialists, which FYI they have all specialities there in ONE office so no referrals. They explained everything very clear and took the time to stop and ask for any questions. All specialty procedures are paid up front and later I am reimbursed by insurance which I don't mind at all I need bonus fly points! They also offered no interest payment plans they a few different companies but I didn't need it but good they offered. I use the online dental price shopper and their prices are super reasonable! Can I just say, they are so thorough and the focus is on me! So a big SUPER PLUS for me since I don't want any surprises. Highly recommend Dr. Nina and her staff. read more

Here I am 8 months pregnant and put off a root canal for way to long landing me in the dentist office with a bad infection weeks away from giving birth. I am absolutely terrified of the dentist due to childhood trauma, i randomly found OC Dental Specialists one day prior as my tooth was throbbing. Going into that office today I was so scared not only that VERY pregnant. My experience was absolutely incredible. The staff and their professionalism was impeccable. The quality of care starts at the front desk with a receptionist who is well versed in dental services. The dentist leads with education and chooses to be a partner in your care. I went to two different dental offices prior to this one and I will definitely be returning here. They took great care of both me and my husband. When our son is a little order we will definitely be bringing him here for his first check up. I usually hate the dentist, because when you come having done some research online, they usually disregard anything and focus on what they what to treat/bill. Dr. Nina took the time to not only listen but validate what I had read and utilized that time to further discuss what might be the issue based on that. I do have severe dental anxiety, especially with the needles, so it's important for me to pick the right place to feel safe, and like they're not trying to up-sell me on surgeries, procedures, etc that aren't actually necessary. From the moment I spoke with Tiffany on the phone, I knew I was in great hands. All of the staff here is friendly, attentive and treat you with care. After looking at my x-rays and chatting a bit with me about what my goals are before the wedding, Dr. Sharma and team got right to work with a plan on making my mouth healthy first and foremost. Yesterday I went in for the first of two scaling appointments. Dr. Sharma has a gentle hand and an incredible bedside manner. I'm a true mess when those needles come around, and she made me feel at ease. They gave me a stress ball (shaped as a tooth) for me to use and have my hands distracted. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Sharma for several years. I never had any issues or problems with their services or customer service. They are very accommodative in scheduling cleanings and surgical procedures. They provide me with estimates for any treatments/fillings, etc. With Dr. Sharma's education, knowledge, and experience, we won't go anywhere else. My teeth are very sensitive so the hygienist needs to clean them by hand scrapping them without the cavitron. No problems every time! Thank you. Btw...
