I came in for a cavity filling on the right side of my mouth but left with a small hole on the left…read moreside that wasn't there before. On top of that, the cavity itself wasn't properly filled, and my sensitivity and pain have only gotten worse since the visit. This was my first time at the clinic. I went in for X-rays and a consultation for the filling. As I was checking out, the receptionist pushed me to get a full mouth X-ray just because my insurance would cover it, which wasn't anything I needed. It felt like they were only trying to bill my insurance. The numbing shot was painful and the procedure was rough. I left with scratches and pain in my gums despite only having one cavity filled. The filling came out to $180 with my insurance, which isn't bad, but I'll need to go to another office to have the whole procedure reevaluated and likely redone.

For the first time I do not dread but look forward to getting my teeth cleaned and catching up with my hygienist (who has taught me a lot about how to clean my teeth!). Everyone who works there is genuinely kind and friendly and super knowledgeable. They ensure you are always comfortable and offer amazing complimentary spa services while getting your teeth cleaned. I've never had to wait either and am seen almost immediately once checked in--big plus that they respect your appointment time!!! Even though this place is slightly out of network with my insurance I still choose to come here because it's the greatest dentistry. Totally recommend if you are looking for a new dentist.

I had a very disappointing experience here, and ultimately left before receiving any dental care…read more I scheduled a simple dental cleaning through the clinic's own website. I agreed to receive SMS and email communications and received multiple appointment reminders, including a text just two hours before my appointment saying "See you soon!". At no point did any text or email state that I needed to confirm the appointment via a phone call or that it would be cancelled if I did not answer a phone call. I arrived five minutes early. When I checked in, instead of being greeted, the conversation abruptly started with, "Soo, we have an issue." I was told that I had never confirmed my appointment. This was confusing, considering I was standing there early for my appointment with multiple reminder messages on my phone. I showed the receptionist the texts and asked whether any of these were supposed to be asking me to confirm. I was then told that they had called me. Like many people, I generally don't answer unidentified or unfamiliar numbers because of the amount of spam calls these days. The receptionist then proceeded to say she will "ask the doctor on what we can do" as if I made some huge mess they're kind enough to clean up. The dentist eventually came out and continued explaining that they need to confirm appointments and repeatedly told me that their number needed to be unblocked. I found this particularly frustrating because I had never been told that answering a phone call was required to keep my appointment. When I pointed out that I had been receiving texts about the appointment, I was told those messages were from Zocdoc rather than their office. That explanation only made things more confusing. I booked through the clinic's own website, which, as far as I can tell, uses All-in-One rather than Zocdoc. Regardless of which third-party company manages their scheduling or reminder system, I don't think patients should be expected to understand the clinic's back-end software in order to know whether their appointment still exists, and whether their reminder messages are actually valid for patients assuming their appointment is still in place. I specifically asked the dentist what happens when they cannot reach a patient. I was told that they assume the patient isn't coming. I then asked whether the patient would always receive notification that the appointment had been cancelled. Apparently not. Sometimes they cancel the appointment without notifying the patient, although they happened not to cancel mine this time. That was probably the most surprising part of the conversation. If answering their phone call is so important that an appointment may otherwise be cancelled, that requirement should be clearly communicated when the appointment is made, stated on the website, or included in the text/email reminders. And if a phone call is that critical, perhaps the office could consider using caller ID so patients know who is calling. At minimum, if an appointment is actually cancelled, notifying the patient seems like a reasonable expectation. Instead, I was standing in the office after arriving five minutes early while being repeatedly told that I needed to make sure their number wasn't blocked because they had been concerned I wouldn't show up. The irony of being physically present for my appointment while being chided about the possibility that I might not show up was not lost on me. Ultimately, I sat there for a few minutes and asked myself whether this was a dental office where I would feel comfortable receiving care. I decided it wasn't. This was just a dental cleaning, so the stakes were very low. But the interaction gave me little confidence about what would happen if there were ever a more significant issue with my dental care. Rather than acknowledging that their confirmation policy had not been clearly communicated, much of the conversation seemed focused on explaining why I should have answered their call and what I needed to do differently. I left with the impression that, if something did go wrong, I might receive explanations about why it was my responsibility rather than an effort to help resolve the problem. Perhaps a routine cleaning simply isn't the kind of appointment a practice that prominently advertises "cosmetic dentistry" on the first page of its website is particularly interested in. I can't know their motivation, so I won't assume that was the case. I can only say that the interaction certainly did not make me feel that my business was wanted. I ultimately left without getting my teeth cleaned. Missing a routine cleaning isn't a big deal; I can go somewhere else. What bothered me was arriving early for an appointment I reasonably believed was confirmed, only to be immediately treated as though I had done something wrong for failing to follow a confirmation requirement that had never been communicated to me.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with her and the entire team at Trooth & Smiles. She even met me at midnight on a Friday once to fix some serious pain I was having and followed up the next day to make sure I was doing ok. This wasn't a one off either. This is who she is and what she stands for. I will always be appreciative of her and her staff for that and all they've done for me. Tracey is also absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported. Her positive attitude and genuine care for patients really stand out. She made me laugh every time I was in for a cleaning or getting work done. If you're looking for a dental practice with a team that truly cares about their patients, their well-being, and their dental health, I can't recommend Trooth & Smiles enough.

The office placed a crown on a wisdom tooth! And that was never even part of our original treatment…read moreplan. According to our new dentist, this procedure was completely unnecessary. We were charged over $1,000 out of pocket (more than $3,000 before insurance) for something that shouldn't have been done. They also took an excessive number of X-rays--18 before a routine cleaning, and many more afterward just to "check" their work. For simple fillings, they removed far more tooth structure than expected, leaving the tooth hollow and then recommending crowns as a follow-up. While the staff appears friendly, it often feels like they are pushing as many procedures as possible rather than prioritizing what is truly necessary for the patient.
