I visited KMC Dental Group for dental care, and while I appreciate that the dentist worked hard and tried their best, I had some concerns with the tools used. they seemed a bit weak or outdated. I'm not trying to be rude, but I feel this may have affected the quality of care. After my visit, I decided to get a second opinion at a different dental office. The other dentist discovered that I have a small, unerupted tooth still inside my gum that was missed during my visit at KMC. This issue has been causing me some discomfort, and I'm disappointed it wasn't identified earlier. Not going back anymore. Their prices went up. It's now $65 for dental cleaning and they didn't even tell us when we made the appointment just a week before the visit. The receptionist said they increased their price a few months ago (after we went there for our 6 months visit) so how are we supposed to know if no one tells us? She told me that "everyone knows" but there are no signs, email or letter that went out. We are not psychic.!? After making a fuss, she honor the old price but had to fight back by saying "That was it! Next time is $65!". Honestly $65 for cleaning is still reasonable but the work is not that through. Sometimes it's in and out within 5-10 mins. Last time I dropped off my family member while I got a boba drink from downstairs and when I walked up, she was already done?! I do like their speed but at the same time I question if they are doing a good job or not? Also I don't understand why they have such a high turnover rate.. they always have different drs and assistants working there? It's not a really good sign. I prefer to see the same faces or at least the same drs during our visits because that's who we are there to see.. The most disappointing part is that I have noticed they recommend you to do all sort of work when they know you have dental insurance as I do while other members of my family are cash patients. They told me that I needed deep cleaning and fillings but when I got a second opinion at another office, the dr there said my gums are healthy and that I'm too young to get deep cleaning and he DOES NOT recommend it for me. Also I did not need fillings because those were tea stains! The hygienist at the other office actually took the time to show me the stains, removed it and told me how what to do etc.. she did not try to ask me to pay for the fillings to cover the stains? So it makes me think that they could be a bit shady or not very knowledgeable. But their drs are always very nice and friendly. I just cannot get myself to trust them again. Sorry. read more

The dentist here is phenomenal and knows exactly what he's doing. I've gotten two wisdom tooth extractions (both impacted, local anesthesia only), and both times were so quick and painless that I didn't even know the teeth were already removed! If I could give this dental office negative stars, I would. I brought my daughter in for a dental cleaning which she needs every six months because she has braces and this was her fourth cleaning while having braces her regular dentist did not have any openings that match the times that we had so we tried out this dentist since they had availability. The dentist immediately gave me bad vibes when he sat down and less than three minutes after when he stood up and proclaimed her cleaning done I was astonished as was my daughter. He tried to say that was all she needed which is complete BS. In fact , her last 3 cleanings after getting braces lasted longer than pre-braces. suffice it to say this is not a reputable dental office and I would steer clear of them. read more

I wish there is a ZERO star to give to this business. My mom did her dental implants with this office about six months ago. A few weeks later her teeth started to hurt so much, and the mouth started to have inflammation. She then did a X-ray in the same office, and was told that the material implanted was broken inside. She was then seeking the refund and the money to cover her loss. It has been over six months. She called the dentist office at least 20 times. They still haven't given us any answer as of today, and kept pushing the responsibilities away. We have to tell everybody to STAY AWAY from this dentist office!! read more

So I went back for another cleaning today, but it wasn't as thorough as the first cleaning - not sure if it is because it was a different crew or what. My appointment was at 10am. Got there 10-15 min before to find out that the doors are still locked. Waited for employees to show up. Went in around 10a but had to wait a little b4 the young dentist showed up. I spent may be 10-15 min in the chair. I felt like the dentist just rushed through the cleaning. The worst was the assistant's "polish" work after the cleaning. It was sooo bad that she might as well not have done it. It's just a semi ok cleaning, which is quite disappointing. read more

We went to KMC dental office to check what happened in his teeth. It's still their lunch time. But they still helped us register and arranged the visit right away with the dentist. If you are a patient that doesn't speak Korean, you will feel out of place. The doctors and assistants speak Korean the whole time while you're in the chair which makes you feel uncomfortable. Came here and teeth felt fine but was recommended a root canal due to my wisdom teeth damaging my back molar. After the procedure I had immediate pain. Came back several times due to the pain which did not seem right and was told to give it 2 weeks. Ended up at another dentist because I was not comfortable with their recommendation and was shown that the job was not done very well. Too much spacing and gaps left in the crown and that I may be susceptible to infection. Definitely would not go back. read more

Their price was excellent, but their customer service was even better. The dentist was really good -- no pain! They treated me like royalty and cared about me with follow up calls. The dentist is awfully rude and recommended an expensive procedure (a gold tooth), which the dental insurance does not cover. I refused and asked her to do a regular crown that most dentists use and are partially covered by the insurance company. Then she said, "I don't want to accept you as an patient because you refused to go with gold tooth." She is a typical Korean "snob" who got plastic surgery from South Korea. You can't tell because Korean surgeons cuts through inside of the mouth so there aren't a visible scars outside of your face. Went to another dentist, and he was able to treat me and got porcelain crown. REPLYING BACK TO DENTAL OFFICE's REBUTTAL: You are making fool out of yourself that you never had a patient name based on my user ID on Yelp is different from my legal name. Your office rarely has any patient. I shop and dine at that the Jamboree Diamond center at least twice a week since I live and work at Irvine. The Korean female dentist is a joke! Even a couple of my Korean friends talks about her plastic surgery done in Korea because she looks homogeneous to rest of the Korean females who got plastic surgery. She is lucky she got the job based on her artificial beauty, and not based on her an expert skills of dentistry. I found another dentist, and he went over the x-rays tooth by tooth and spent an hour with me. In retrospect, your dumb plastic surgery DUMD ASS dentist didn't even take more than 5 minutes to observe the x-ray. Instead she said I need to go with a GOLD TOOTH? WTF is wrong with her? I have been visiting dentist at least twice a year for cleaning and exams for 25+ years. I have never met ANY DENTISTS RECOMMEND ME THAT I NEED A GOLD CROWN!!!! *We were attracted by KMC TV commercial, especially their promotion discount rate for crown, root canal and implant. *Both my wife and me had free consultation. The major findings are: My wife needs new crown and night guard. Myself needs root canal / new crown, tooth extraction / implant and new bridge. *My wife decided to give them a try - to have a new crown after the office manager told me "he will bill our dental insurance with the promotion discount rate, so that she can have more dental annual allowance left for future use. *All office staffs and assistants are very nice, friendly and patient. Especially Dr. Lee, he found I have periodontics which my current dentist did not notice during my routing check-up last Nov. Dr. Lee even returned the new crown, which is supposed ready for my wife last week,to lab. for modification. He is very detail, careful and concerning the quality and his patient. He is great. I started to go KMC from January 2017 after I moving into Irvine. I used almost 6 month to fix my teeth problem, coz I had to take off two wisdom teeth and 9 cavities. Dr. Park is my dentist, she is a nice and beautiful lady. Moreover, she's very professional and patient. She help me fixed all my teeth problem. And their manager King is very helpful too. LOL...My mother did her implants and her implant denture here at KMC Dental about 4 years ago and she used them like her own teeth until she got an infection on one of her implant area so we went back to dental office and they redo the implant surgery without anycost. My appointment was at 1pm and I got there 10 minutes early to fill out some paper work. My son & daughter went in 30 minutes later for some x-rays, It was 1:20 already and the front office lady came and told me the doctor is on his way and it should take him about 20 more minutes, at this point, I didn't really get why the doctor is stuck on traffic when he had a patient waiting since 1pm. We waited another 20 minutes and still no doctor!! I asked the receptionist and she said she's sorry but the doctor had emergency patient??? Are u kidding me? First she told me to wait 20 more minutes because the doctor is stuck on traffic and when I asked about how much longer, she said he has emergency patient? I don't even live in that area and I drove from Corona for nothing!! So we left after waiting for an hour and still no doctor. Before I left, I asked the receptionist the doctor's full name, and she didn't even know the doctor's name and she just knows him by Dr. LEE!!
