Ocean Heart Dentistry - very clean - General Dentistry Near Me - Tustin, California

I made an appointment on the week of Christmas for Jan. 5th. Front desk staff members promised to check and call back if they accepted my insurance. Fast forward to the day of the appointment: NOTHING from them. When I called the front office again, assistant manager DASOM KIM was rude and TOLD ME TO GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST because I told them off. Terrible service. BEWARE of this office's Tustin Branch. You will be denied care because of staff's shitty work ethic and behavior. read more

I had a great last visit for a cleaning with Mike who has deep cleaned and cleaned my teeth for 2 years+. Always cheerful sensitive careful that his patient is super comfortable amazing bedside manner. The staff at the front desk gave such careful thorough explanation of teeth and gum care, the type of bristles in each tooth brush and best practice for tooth care. So refreshing from most offices that rush you along. I really appreciate the receptionist' patience passion and knowledge. As a patient you feel empowered. She made me feel so comfortable and was so kind to gift me with travel size toothpaste and new type of floss for a trip abroad in a week. I have used their liquid mouthwash and she explained it also kills viruses not only bacteria and helps gum care. No Brainer...! What I love is this dental office has a number of dentists which allows you to request a second opinion and find one that suits your particular need and I prefer to be conservative with fillings or crowns as once we shave more of our organic teeth they don't grow back. I was so blown away with my last dentists approach she was practical explained her reasons so I felt confident and comfortable with our way forward. Honest to God this is the first time I've felt comfortable and knowledgeable about interventions for my tooth and able to partner with my dentist to do what's best for my pearly whites. read more

I have been going here for 7 years. I love Dr. Kim and his staff. Dr. Kim is gentle, kind and talks me through each step, always making sure I am okay. I want to give a shout out to him and his staff. Front Staff: Dasom, Ashley, Angie and Cindy Managers: Jen and Juliana Back Staff: Juliette, Andrew, Theresa and Eloise Hygienist: NHI and Mike I have had the pleasure of working with everyone of them over the years. It always takes a couple of visits to connect with any new Doctor and his staff but once you give them a chance they are the best.... they all work together as a team to make sure you are taken care of. read more

Ocean Heart Dentistry - Fitting me for a crown and implant - General Dentistry Near Me - Tustin, California

This place tried to say I needed a lot of work done when another dentist confirmed I did not need any of it. They also billed my insurance company for things they did not do. Beware and get a second opinion. While the staff is nice I'm not really sure what to say about the dentist since he literally spent 3mins with me. So glad I trusted my gut and went someplace else. read more

Dr Kim is by far the best Dentist I've ever had in my life of over 70. My previous Dentist was great but retired. Thought I'd never find another Dentist even half as good and was pretty bummed about that. But found Dr. Keon Kim and he is so exceptional. You owe it to yourself to meet Dr. Kim and see for yourself! And the entire staff are fantastic, knowledgable, and professional. Makes you want to have an appointment just to come by and say hi! And need to mention my wife has felt the exact same way. So grateful to have all my dental concerns cared for by such an outstanding and attentive dental group. Thank you Dr. Kim and the whole office! read more

I went to Dr. Kim's office for the first time 2 weeks ago for a routine cleaning/X-rays, and was told that I have TWELVE cavities. They recommended I come in 4 times to get these cavities (re)filled, to get deep periodontal cleanings (or regular cleanings every 3-4 months), and to purchase a prescription toothpaste with extra fluoride. I go to the dentist regularly (twice annually), with no issues and no new cavities in recent years. While I was upset but grateful that they notified me of these cavities, I later realized I should get a second opinion. Upon meeting with a new dentist (and showing them the X-rays that Dr. Kim's office took 2 weeks ago), they didn't find ANY new cavities - just 6 old fillings that are getting rundown over time. They said I don't necessarily need to use the prescription toothpaste because I DON'T have any new cavities. While the staff and dental hygienist are nice at this office, I barely spoke to Dr. Kim directly. He stopped by my chair for 2 minutes, looked at my X-rays and the photos of my teeth but barely looked in my mouth, and didn't conduct any of the cleaning himself. Please trust your gut and get a second opinion if you can. read more

If you are looking for a good dental office with an amazing staff, this is the place!! I have been coming here for about 2 years now and have been absolutely loving my visits. The office is very well maintained and the staff is there to take a very good care of you. Dr. Kim is very kind but also really good at what she is doing so I feel very taken care of when ever she treats me. Totally recommend her! Also, Michael is the doctor's assistant who does an excellent job as well to take care of you during your treatment. He makes sure to explain each steps while you are getting your procedure done and makes sure you are comfortable and aware of what is to happen. Totally recommend him as well! Definitely give them a visit if you need any treatments done because you won't regret it!! read more

I went to another office this morning before coming here . I called to be seen ASAP I'm in really bad pain ! I called and Ashley was super friendly and very very helpful! This place seems very clean , friendly and professional. So glad I came here ! read more

A few months ago I spent $700 on crowns and it became the most wasted money I've ever spent. It is still difficult to chew properly, and even if you drink water, your teeth are cold, so it is hard to drink cold water. After the procedure, the pain continued, so I went three or four times, but this doctor couldn't fix it. I went to see the yelp review because the treatment place was far away, but I regret my choice. read more

Keon Jung Kim Dental is still going strong through this COVID-19 pandemic! The office is very clean and very conscious about sanitizing and keeping the patient and their staff safe. They are giving patient the best care even though they are risking themselves from exposure. Dr. Jeon was again able to save my tooth from a possible crown with very meticulous filling. In the process she found that my one of my tooth was decaying because it was sandwiched by my other tooth. Immediately she was able to fix both teeth even though I was only scheduled for one. Now that's patient care. If you're looking for a great dental hygienist, I recommend Vincent! He's super thorough and gentle. He's also hilarious which makes the appointment easy. read more

From routine check ups and cleaning to complicated and sensitive procedures, this office is able to handle it all. The office is very clean and spacious, and all of the staff are genuinely welcoming and caring. This is a dental office that you walk in fully confident that they'll take good care of you, tell you honestly what's best for you, and get the job done right the first time. It's no wonder they're so fully booked all the time, lol. read more

Undoubtedly the best dental-related experience I've ever had. From the first day I visited this office I've felt as though I've been cared for and treated like family. I got my fillings done by Dr. Jenny and Dr. Hara Jeon. They were both extremely gentle and I didn't feel a thing. I also got my teeth cleaned for the first time in over 7 years by Mike and he was amazing as well. I wish I had switched to them sooner. Great attention and service. You know you are in good hands when you learn things about your bone structure that you had no clue about. read more

Best place to go for tooth cleaning and etc.! Nice & genuine people who care about your teeth :)

I went to this dental office first time, this dental office looks very professional and well organized that I ever had experienced. But I hope the reception can respond to the customers with the BIG SMILE! All others are no objections at all. read more

To be straight up, my two teenage kids and I have a strong mistrust of dentists. We have searched long and hard for a good dentist. Like 10 years long!! Our needs are complex too. We value things like timely appointments we don't have to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes, proper use of anesthetic to prevent pain, no overcharges or up charges for procedures that are unnecessary, thorough explanations of procedures, availability of specialists in practice that don't require outside referrals, sensitivity to anxiety issues, etc. I am thrilled to say we have found what our hearts desire in this practice. All of the practitioners are technically well trained. The business is well managed. We can actually trust a dentist finally. I feel like we have found our home in this practice. From a decade long search and three years experience at this practice, I feel comfortable and confident recommending them to everyone. read more

The word petrified doesn't even begin to describe how afraid of the dentist I am. But the staff here are extremely comforting. I needed a root canal & had a panic attack. They made sure to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. Jen, the manager. She's great. I can't say they fixed my fear of dentists but they have helped me. read more

MY family comes to this office since 6 years , and we have been happy since , the staff are friendly and nice especially with my kids , they are patient with them and they do a great job cleaning their teeth and giving them advise to keep their teeth clean and healthy. That is the worst dental office that I've ever seen. Very unhappy to what they have done with my teeth.. Its been two month I've waiting to receive a root canal authorization for my front tooth but they didn't send it on time. They are very late and not professional at all. Also i had two root canals teeth in the back but they fucked up to my teeth and it took 8 month until they could fixed their mistakes. I had pain all the time. Can you believe it ? 8 month. I don't recommend this dental at all. read more

Dr. Kim and his staff (patient care, administration, front & back office) are great, they always go above and beyond. We (my family and myself, 6 members) have been with them for about 5 years and we don't wants to change in spite of the many miles we commute each time we come over here from Corona. read more

I am highly grateful to all the dentists and admin staff for their kindness and help. Before and after the treatment, they always let me know what they did and what they will do on my next visit. They explained to me very specifically about what I needed to know. Additionally, I am very scared of dentist but they always listen to me and check on me during the treatment if everything is ok, which I like the most about here. Now I am not that worried about going to dentist. Thank you! read more

I had my teeth cleaned here on March 6, 2018 and although the office was very clean and located in an "upscale" part of the town, they seemed intent on upselling me on many services that other dentists have not indicated as necessary, such as deep cleaning (I have had my teeth cleaned twice a year for most of my adult life and have never been told that I need "deep cleaning"), fillings (I am 40 years old and have never had a cavity in my life yet somehow I needed fillings for "abrasions"), X-rays (when I refused they seemed very disappointed and tried to tell me that they couldn't remove the tarter from my teeth without me having X-rays, Dr. Kim claimed that he was doing a "visual" and looked inside my mouth for about 5 seconds and named off a laundry list of items that he claimed that I needed). They finally ended up cleaning my teeth and seemed to do an okay job. On the positive side I was in and out within an hour. I'm not sure if I will go back here. I will definitely get a "second opinion" about the deep cleaning. read more

I have now been here 3 times. Today was my last visit August 8,18 Unfortunately for teeth abstractions. I always arrive 10-15 minutes before appointment time and I only wait maybe 5 Minutes and I'm then brought back to one of their many many rooms. Everyone in this office is professional courteous caring compassionate and the list goes on and in. Tvs in the rooms general assistants constantly checking on u Incase u need anything . The Dentist comes introduces himself to every patient . You do not have to wait to get what u came in to be done. I'm a medical professional for the past 10 yrs and I've never seen a better group of professionals get along n such a professional office and run so smoothly Hats off to you all, much gratitude and appreciative for all you did for me. Thank you so very much. read more

This office goes to lengths I haven't seen in any other dental practice. The front desk staff go out of their way to make you feel calm and happy (and who isn't a little anxious on a visit to the dentist?). Quality of care is stand-out amazing, too; the hygienist managed to be both quick and diligent. The actual dentist explained my situation very straightforwardly, unlike the last three I've been to. I'm very insensitive to anesthesia, but he took me through my procedure both painlessly and very quickly. (The last time I had work done on that tooth, it felt like it took . . . five hundred thousand years, at my estimate. But it was at least 90 minutes. Anyway, Dr. Kim handled a similar procedure in half that time, maybe less.) Last but not least, they offered me an optional special electric toothbrush that apparently gives a much deeper and less damaging clean than other brands. I was skeptical and don't usually go for offered products, but I figured my experience here had been good enough that I should take a chance. Wow! I'm so glad I did. It's hard to explain what it feels like, but it's like every day, my teeth feel like they've taken a long shower and have been gently scrubbed until they shine. Definitely feeling the difference there. Overall, great experience! I'm not going to say that I can't wait to come back, because dentists are inherently scary, but for the first time I'm not dreading it. read more

They are all very nice, helpful and make the process bearable. Three other dentists had turned me away, saying the work was beyond them. I think it was going to take too long, and they weren't going to make a ton of $$$. Dr Kim did not hesitate and was so professional. This os my family dentist from now on. read more

I chose this place based off the 3 positive yelp reviews. After my experience I felt like I needed to come back and write a real review and give a rating that more closely reflects this dental office. Worst dental office Ive been to. Their equipment is old. They rushed me in and out, lied to me, and neglected to even examine me. The hygienist did a cleaning after the doc sat with me for no more than 15 seconds to read teeth numbers from my X-ray to the hygienist. He didn't even look in my mouth. Hygienist did the cleaning and they sent me home with no examination or follow up. I tried to show them the big gaping hole in the center of one of my molars that lost a filling. I told them how it hurts and the pain goes into my jaw and gives me lock jaw sometimes. The hygienist just kept trying to tell me every things ok, I had no cavities, blah blah blah. That is for the dentist himself to check, no? However, he is off doing some dental surgery on someone else so he can't come talk to me. I made my appointment 2 weeks ago, was early/on time, that time slot was mine and he did not give me more than 15 literal seconds. Was a big waste of time that an honest yelp review could have helped me avoid. read more

I had the worst experience here! I used to like this place but something has really gone down hill. During my procedure I was getting numbed then I closed my eyes then I feel the needle go inside my lip. It hurt like crazy then the dentist starts screaming," O my god!" Cause she realized she was stabbing my lip with the numbing needle then said ," Sorry I was looking at your x-ray" I was confused cause I hadn't seen them in a year I hadn't had an x-ray. I was there for a chipped tooth but they didn't say a word just started working on me. I tried to specify the issue was the chipped tooth then they started working and decided to work on a few cavities from a year ago instead. They ignored what I was asking about then in the middle of the procedure the dentist shook me scared and asked quickly "Are your Laura?!?" Which is terrifying to find out your dentist doesn't even know who they are working on! Then quickly after she thought I'm a different Laura asking what my last name is as if she screwed up bad! Then continues as if nothing happens. Quickly after she clamps my lip in the exact part that was stabbed with a needle with the clamp of the hemostats! I start screaming but she didn't notice cause she was going a mile a minute for no reason I was the only patient in the building ( The only thing I can suspect is drugs! Absolutely crazy!) being in the middle of having my cavities drilled open I couldn't just walk out like I wanted to do so bad! Finally she noticed and just said ,"sorry" and rubbed my cheek for a second. A assume she became embarrassed(or her drugs were setting in) cause she was going even faster! All of a sudden during my eyes being closed I get choked out and stabbed by the suction tube from what I realize the assistant stepping on the hose so it was shoved down the back of my throat! Making me choke-scream. Until I hear her say,"Oops!" They finished quickly before I could ask any questions they ran and hid in a room and forced me to talk to the lady up front! I figured out they didn't do what I made the appointment for and I had the worst dentist treatment bar none! I would have said 5 stars a year ago but now! Beware! read more

Very friendly and nice! They do a great job and in a very timely manner. My 17-year-old sister took her wisdom teeth, my 16-year-old brother goes for a regular cleaning and I recently took my wisdom teeth there and we all had a good experience. The help desk ladies are very sweet and respectful, the team that works inside are very gentle while preparing you for the doctor and most importantly all the questions we had are answered. Highly recommend this dental corp and I will come back for sure. read more

Worst nightmare ever!! I so regret I went there!! Don't go!! read more

Out of all my experiences in dentist offices this is by far the best. I'm so happy to finally have a place that can offer exceptional quality service. They are so organized and friendly at the front desk. I never have any issues setting appointments. I also know that I can trust them with my teeth, they are incredibly honest about what I need and don't need. Most importantly they are incredibly patient and take the time to educate their patients. For example, they don't just suggest to floss more they take the time to show you how to properly floss. They monitor a decaying tooth to make sure it's an actual cavity rather then slap a filling on immediately. I get all my cleanings here, have had a few fillings and also my 4 wisdom teeth removed (which was a painless 15 minutes by the way! No one believes me). I highly recommend this dentist to my relatives and friends. read more

I recommend this dental office if you're looking for a wisdom teeth removal. I had to remove three of them and one of them was a full bony. The whole procedure was quick and better than expected. OK So I'm here back for my ending experience with this office. So the exam went fine the oral wasn't there and so they send a translator for the assistant who asked me all my symptoms which I expressed my pain and the issues they were causing me , she then sent me to the desk and here were are... SO they failed to tell me I had to hand write and letter they attach to the referral requesting approval for wisdom teeth removal sense I canceled with the dentist that I had already had an approval pending both office failed to tell me I had to write a note to cancel current pending and sent a not with why i want this other dentist to do it instead. The first dentist was very rude the dentist that I originally went to for a cleaning recommended also I cancel and try another dentist out of concern for how they treated me and people i reviews and their own experience. So I go here and everything is fine so far other then they insisted on taking another xray which I just had done 2x already at the other dentist office all in 2 weeks. So they said I had to call and have them sent from the other offices to them but they insisted they were being sent wrong and could read them and left me in limbo saying they would try to open the file of my xrays which they needed to send for approval and they still kept pushing to take their own. Now I'm epileptic and less xrays is best for my health and another xray was just more money to charge insurance why else would they insist. So they said they would call me when they got the file then it was when then they got it open then when they got the proper file then...and I had to keep calling them mind you. They didn't do anything unless I pushed. They guy got upset because I kept making him check on my status he finally stop answering my call so I called block then a woman answers and then looks up my info then gets her update from me and him and then she tells me I don't have to keep calling to check on it they will call me . So a month goes by and I call to see what's up I Mean I'm in pain and they have not even giving me a date for removal yet. So I call and the guy doesn't want to deal with me and woman comes on and tells me I have to wait longer I said no I'm in pain and a month has already gone by and I still have no approval and when it does goes go through it will be denied because they didn't cancel they other one with the note from me cause they failed to tell me anything about the note...I found out by calling the insurance myself and they had to tell me about the note !! So I call back and they play like they have no idea how I wasn't told about the note like they had no defense other then yeah this is what have to do...they didn't even say what to do with the letter they would clarify what was the next step it was like oh yeah write letter and then we give you appointment lie wtf seriously scattered and a waste of time...once I said I was said what I had to say about me being in pain a month and calling them on their BS i said i was going to right a review and then all of a sudden she's like "oh your in pain?" "Why didn't you say so we can automatically approve to remove one that hurts you most right away I can give you an appointment tomorrow morning 9 am ! " SO I WAS IN PAIN AND YOU COULD HAVE TAKE ONE OUT RIGHT AWAY BUT YOU FAILED TO MENTION IT TILL I MENTIONED WRITING A REVIEW AND CALL YOU ON YOUR GUYS BS!?? NO WAY WOULD I LET YOU WORK ON MY MOUTH RIGHT AFTER THIS BS AND JUST ABSOLUTELY GREED WANTING TO PUSH APART APPOINTMENTS FORCING ANOTHER XRAY ON ME BECAUSE THE OTHER ONES WOULD BE INVALID Y THE TIME MY APPROVAL AND APPOINTMENT CAME THROUGH. USING TIME TO SCAM MORE APPOINTMENTS AND MORE XRAYS! NO THANK YOU don't let the appearance and calm voices fool you they pulled this crap. read more
