The entire time my husband was walking/trying the shoes on we had a bunch of what appeared to be loss prevention folks near us and following us all the way to the paying line. Didn't they feel dumb that we were NEVER going to steal anything and were in fact paying for the shoes. Truly unacceptable, unnecessary, and even felt racist. No further comment.

I met Whitney in the shop area, she greeted me with a smile. I explained the reason for my visit. She advised me that the Technician was on break, then she then told me to bring my bike into the shop and someone would assist me. It was just a few minutes later, I met Hadrian. He and Whitney weren't sure how to make it fold either initially. Then, I remembered I had a manual ony phone. I showed it them. Hadrian and Whitney figured it out immediately. The next thing I knew, my bike was folded!!! He did it so fast, I barely saw what he did. It was as if he had been doing this for years. I tried and still couldn't fold it. I asked him to please show me again, he immediately obliged me. They absolutely positively unequivocally made my day! They were so welcoming, polite, courteous, personable. They provided me with outstanding customer service. REI is fortunate to have them as employees. Thank you Whitney and Hadrian for a job well done, I truly appreciate you. If anyone ever asks me to refer a Bike Shop, I guarantee it will be REI~this location.

Thanks to the VIP program, I was able to exchange them within the 90-day return window and work with Travis again. Travis is knowledgeable, patient, and great at explaining how each shoe moves and supports your foot. Based on his demonstration, I switched to the Brooks Glycerin Flex, and I'm glad I did. During a run, I stepped into a hole in the pavement, and I truly believe the stability of the shoe helped keep the injury from being much worse. Road Runner Sports is an excellent resource for runners and athletes because the staff considers your stride, foot strike, comfort, and activity level--not just the shoe's appearance. The prices are comparable to other retailers, but here you also receive expert guidance and the added protection of the VIP return policy. Congratulations to Travis and his future bride on their upcoming Halloween wedding! I definitely recommend this location.

After an incredibly frustrating experience at the Fairfield Dick's Sporting Goods, I felt compelled…read moreto recognize an employee who truly understands customer service. I purchased a pair of softball cleats for my daughter online. Unfortunately, they ended up being too small. She wore them briefly while sitting in the dugout at practice, immediately realized they hurt her feet, and took them off. The cleats were essentially brand new. When I attempted to exchange them at the Fairfield store, I was met with resistance from management. Anna Pintane refused the return and was extremely condescending throughout the interaction. Instead of listening to my explanation, she lectured me about how cleats should be worn around the house before practice and even told me that if they didn't fit, I should sell them to a teammate or on Facebook Marketplace. I couldn't believe that was the solution being offered by a store manager. The entire interaction left me feeling dismissed and disrespected as a customer. Fortunately, I decided to try the Pleasant Hill location. What a completely different experience. Mike McKensy (store manager) was absolutely wonderful. He listened, understood the situation, treated me with respect, and promptly processed the return of the cleats that were still essentially new. He was professional, friendly, and focused on helping the customer rather than finding reasons not to. Mike turned a very negative experience into a positive one and restored some of my faith in Dick's Sporting Goods. Customer service like his is exactly what keeps people coming back. If you're shopping at Dick's, I highly recommend the Pleasant Hill store and especially Mike. He is an outstanding example of how customers should be treated. Thank you, Mike, for your professionalism and for making what should have been a simple exchange actually simple.

I ordered Meta glasses for same-day pickup. I was in a rush when I picked them up, so I didn't inspect the box until I got home -- that part was my fault. At first I assumed maybe the glasses just come in a different type of box, but once I opened it, I realized something was off. There was no charging case, and instead the glasses were stuffed into a cheap cloth case. Big red flag! I examined the glasses closely and saw the words "Not for sale." I was so mad! I had paid $400 for the Meta Wayfarer transitional glasses, only to end up with a display pair. I've been a loyal Dick's customer for years, I can't believe I got scammed! I drove all the way back to the store and calmly explained what happened. The male employee helping me was shocked but very helpful. The manager said it looked like an employee may have swapped the glasses and that she would be checking the cameras. She offered to order it for me, but I wanted it the same day so I opted for a refund. Now I'm down $400 until it gets refunded on my card. I ended up purchasing an authentic pair at Macy's instead. So yea, it's a never again. I hope they catch whoever swapped the glasses out. 1 star for the helpful managers and employee who helped me out!

Tom and Michelle are nothing short of amazing!…read more Our softball organization recently had jerseys ordered for the team, and unfortunately, I made a mistake and ordered the wrong number for one of our players. I realized the mistake and immediately drove down to Pro Image Sports, honestly not knowing if there was anything that could be done on such short notice. From the moment I walked in, Tom and Michelle treated me like family. They listened to the situation, understood how important it was to get this corrected for our player, and found a solution without making me feel like I was a burden or that my mistake was an inconvenience. What impressed me most was that they had the jersey corrected with the proper number within an hour! I walked in stressed and frustrated with myself, and I walked out with the problem completely solved and one very relieved coach. Customer service like this is becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in a world where so much business is conducted online. Tom and Michelle genuinely cared about helping me, and it was obvious that they heard the urgency in my voice and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond. This is what great customer service looks like. If you are anywhere in the Brentwood, Antioch, Oakley, or Pittsburg area, GO SEE THEM! Whether you need team uniforms, customization, or anything sports-related, I highly recommend giving Pro Image Sportswear your business. Thank you, Tom and Michelle, for saving the day!
