I was excited to try their vegan Mac and cheese balls and their black bean burger and despite advertising beef tallow fries, they have a designated vegan fryer. Now... where it all went downhill. Those Mac and cheese balls tasted horrible. They had almost no initial taste and the aftertaste was like soap and the texture was complete mush. And no, there was no cilantro that registered like soap. This straight up tasted like a mushy soap bomb. We waited a really long time for our food. Our waitress disappeared without saying anything and another person asked us if we wanted our check when we still hadn't gotten our main entrees. After a while, we got our food. My black bean burger was just ok. But they didn't prepare it like I requested. I ordered the blackened blue burger with a black bean patty. I believe it was $14 and was supposed to come blackened with Cajun seasoning and a vegan blue cheese and I skipped the bacon. I was asked if I wanted to vegan bun and said sure. When the bill came, my $14 burger was $21.50. I was charged for a custom burger and every single thing was an upgrade on top of it. Nothing about that burger was worth $21.50. It was barely worth $14. I was so upset that none of this was communicated to me. I've had worse food, which is why it's 2 starts instead of 1. But if I'm ever in this area again, I'll never come back.
