First time here and to me first impressions are everything. To start off, the menu is big there are a lot of options. The one thing I didn't like about the menu is that you had to read it from afar. It was not easy for my dad to read since it was not posted close enough. They also have a lot of drink options which is wonderful. I had a black tea and it was delicious. Other than that, the prices seemed a little steep for the amount you get but a lot of places are doing that right now to compensate for the loss of business during covid. Totally understandable. The thing that I didn't like and will not let me put a 5 star rating is that when ordering, they ask if you want a side and then they list some options. The options are a banana, cookie, and fruit cup. I ended up getting a fruit cup, and 2 bananas for my 3 meals. What they didn't tell me is that the fruit cup is an additional cost of $1.50. I went ahead and paid and have to find out through my emailed receipt. It would be nice to be informed since it seemed like it was included into the price. That is what the cashier told me. Not a huge deal since $1.50 won't break the bank but it just seemed not right is all. My sandwich was good even though I wasn't entirely full but the omlet that I got for someone else in my party said it was very small for the price. It looked like 1 egg and a couple pieces of meat. read more

BOTTOM TIER CUSTOMER SERVICE. They messed up multiple drinks, and then tried to make us feel stupid about it. The attitude and trying to make us pay for new drinks was one of the most appalling experiences i've ever had at a coffee shop. just go somewhere else read more

Made a trip out to La Quinta back in October and decided to give Just Java a shot based on great reviews. We were sorely disappointed. My husband waited 15 mins for our online order then we got home and numerous items were incorrect. Paid for extras and didn't get them, plus the one coffee I ordered was wrong. The worst part of all of this is I reached out via IG and got a kind response offering me a GC (which I didn't ask for) so I responded but then- radio silence. I know Covid times are hard. I am a 1000% supporter of small businesses and I make it a point to frequent the ones I love to help keep them afloat. Unfortunately we won't return here and I will point friends/ family in another direction as well. read more

This place is my number one go to. The staff is uniquely kind and personable. Ryan is my favorite. Every time I get to have a little chat with him in the to go line, it makes my morning that much better. He is refreshing and has fun sense of humor. Their food and especially their quiches are incredible. Their coffee drinks get you zinging. I'd prefer Just Java 100 times over the "corporate juggernauts" I also love how so many people gather in the front of the establishment and have their morning get together's. It makes for a good community vibe. read more

First time here and wasn't sure what to expect. The menu has sandwiches, but no prices on them. Customer service was not all there either so ordered whatever since the girl helping was not helpful. If you are looking for a family owned and friendly environment for your every day coffee and to be welcomed like you have been going there for years, I recommend just Java coffee even though it's competitor is across the street from them but Just Java Coffee makes a stronger a cup of coffee than Starbucks, it's ultimately one of my favorite places, the home made empanadas are to die for always a must grave when getting a coffee. Sometimes there is a line but the line is worth the wait! Just Java Coffee makes my mornings great! read more

Unfortunately, we can't comment on the quality of the coffee, but rather only on the service received. Or not received, I suppose. We were there on a Thursday morning, just after 8 am. There were a small handful of patrons sitting inside. We waited alone at the counter, trying for more than five minutes to be acknowledged, to even make eye contact with any of the four people we saw working there before giving up and leaving. We won't stay where we don't feel welcome. Thankfully, however, we found a fantastic local coffee shop just down the road, with a great view, a long line, and friendly service worth the wait! read more

Terri, the owner and her boyfriend greater me and a co-worker at our car and yelled profanity then threatened us. The boyfriend got really mad and was screaming in a child like fashion. Terri too was acting absolutely inappropriate not only from a professional perspective but also given her many many years on this planet. Some people just don't learn expressing their emotions in inappropriate fashions will never get them what they want. They made claims I had reviewed them using some dummy profile on Yelp in order to say negative things about them but that was not the case. The only negative thing I have to say about them is they are wildly unprofessional and plainly mean people. I did like their coffee but I will say their staff caters to those they like and if someone is behind you in line they will prepare that person's drink and serve it to them while you're waiting. To me, that isn't appropriate. Starbucks is across the street you'll get way better service there. Hopefully, Starbucks decides they want a drive-through and they offer the landlord at the shopping center Terri is that enough money that she gets kicked out. read more

I'm so lucky this is my neighborhood coffee shop! It's the best! Not only do they serve amazing coffee, they have great food also! Their homemade empanadas are the reason we go almost everyday! (My son's favorite) The service and the people there treat you like family, I love that it's tan by a family. I love spending my money there knowing it's going to them! The ambiance is cute coffee shop, and they have a patio! Everything you need and more! If you're in the Bermuda Dunes area you gotta check it out. Very affordable! (Great affordable açai bowls too!) Just Java coffee is located at the end of a strip mall behind Walgreens. This coffee house offers you a nice alternative to the run of the mill Starbucks that have become oh so common these days. The thing that really caught my eye was the breakfast selection. It was perfect. Very nicely prepared breakfast sandwiches on freshly baked croissants as well as other breads to choose from. I ordered the egg and bacon on a croissant. I also had the choice between a side of a freshly cut banana or an hard boiled egg. I chose the egg. What can I say, the croissant was oh so crispy on the outside and delicious. The fact that the people working there were super nice was a major plus. I am sorry, I really wanted to like this place. Based off the other reviews and how packed this place was when we went I thought we were in for a treat, I was wrong. I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich because it had avocado on it, did not get achicado. My bf ordered a side of bacon...didn't get that. The sticky bun we ordered was stale. I figured at least the coffee would be good the place is called "just java" nope my cold brew tasted like cleaning products. I took two sips and dumped it. 34$ for 2 people and it was disappointing from all angles. Only thing I can say is the girl who took our order was very nice. Lots of parking and open to all guests or visitors. This is a huge resort so plan on walking. FACILITY: Very nice poolside seating at CAVA even in summer. MENU: a lot of options, all good, and many healthy. FOOD PREP: for what it is, for a resort the food prep was done professionally. FOOD QUALITY: very good. LIBATIONS: all very good but better options at the pool bar, well more fun anyway. WAITSTAFF: the CAVA crew was great, service oriented and big on making guests happy. OVERALL VALUE: very good for a resort. TIP: try and sitting outside at CAVA, sitting by the pool food just makes it a bit messy but pretty sure it is the same kitchen.

The food isn't nearly as high quality and it feels like less care is going into training the wait staff and curating positive guest experiences. I used to crave the bacon wrapped dates but they're now on the fatty side. The most notable change is that there used to be lovely tables with fire pits and cozy conversation seating and it's all been replaced with dining seating that's less conducive to dining with friends. Most important is the warm red wine and the shift in happy hour prices to "only if we have a bottle already opened" where you only find out if you won the happy hour lottery when you get the check. My question is, if the Meiomi wasn't already opened, why wasn't it chilled? Bottom line, hoping they go back to a more hospitality vibe and focus so we can come back and enjoy the lovely atmosphere again soon.
