We were waiting in the drive thru for 20 mins, we knew they were busy so we didn't mind but then a worker put up a closed sign without speaking to us (she saw our car because she handed a drink to the car before us). I walked inside to ask if they were closing early or if they just forgot we were there. The worker was mean :( she went off on me telling me she was so busy she had to close the drive thru and that if I wanted to order I would have to wait to do it inside because she wasn't going to open the drive thru. She said "so do you want to order or not cause I'm really busy", I said no thank you. I love supporting small businesses but having a hard time wanting to come back here after how mean the worker was. read more

First time here and to me first impressions are everything. To start off, the menu is big there are a lot of options. The one thing I didn't like about the menu is that you had to read it from afar. It was not easy for my dad to read since it was not posted close enough. They also have a lot of drink options which is wonderful. I had a black tea and it was delicious. Other than that, the prices seemed a little steep for the amount you get but a lot of places are doing that right now to compensate for the loss of business during covid. Totally understandable. The thing that I didn't like and will not let me put a 5 star rating is that when ordering, they ask if you want a side and then they list some options. The options are a banana, cookie, and fruit cup. I ended up getting a fruit cup, and 2 bananas for my 3 meals. What they didn't tell me is that the fruit cup is an additional cost of $1.50. I went ahead and paid and have to find out through my emailed receipt. It would be nice to be informed since it seemed like it was included into the price. That is what the cashier told me. Not a huge deal since $1.50 won't break the bank but it just seemed not right is all. My sandwich was good even though I wasn't entirely full but the omlet that I got for someone else in my party said it was very small for the price. If you're visiting the valley and looking for a quick bite or even a place to sit and chat- Just Java has the best coffee and empanadas (for both meat eaters and vegetarians) in the entire valley. I would definitely add this place to your "Coachella valley bucket-list places"! Made a trip out to La Quinta back in October and decided to give Just Java a shot based on great reviews. We were sorely disappointed. My husband waited 15 mins for our online order then we got home and numerous items were incorrect. Paid for extras and didn't get them, plus the one coffee I ordered was wrong. The worst part of all of this is I reached out via IG and got a kind response offering me a GC (which I didn't ask for) so I responded but then- radio silence. I know Covid times are hard. I am a 1000% supporter of small businesses and I make it a point to frequent the ones I love to help keep them afloat. BOTTOM TIER CUSTOMER SERVICE. They messed up multiple drinks, and then tried to make us feel stupid about it. The attitude and trying to make us pay for new drinks was one of the most appalling experiences i've ever had at a coffee shop. just go somewhere else read more

This place is my number one go to. The staff is uniquely kind and personable. Ryan is my favorite. Every time I get to have a little chat with him in the to go line, it makes my morning that much better. He is refreshing and has fun sense of humor. Their food and especially their quiches are incredible. Their coffee drinks get you zinging. I'd prefer Just Java 100 times over the "corporate juggernauts" I also love how so many people gather in the front of the establishment and have their morning get together's. It makes for a good community vibe. read more

First time here and wasn't sure what to expect. The menu has sandwiches, but no prices on them. Customer service was not all there either so ordered whatever since the girl helping was not helpful. If you are looking for a family owned and friendly environment for your every day coffee and to be welcomed like you have been going there for years, I recommend just Java coffee even though it's competitor is across the street from them but Just Java Coffee makes a stronger a cup of coffee than Starbucks, it's ultimately one of my favorite places, the home made empanadas are to die for always a must grave when getting a coffee. Sometimes there is a line but the line is worth the wait! Just Java Coffee makes my mornings great! read more

Unfortunately, we can't comment on the quality of the coffee, but rather only on the service received. Or not received, I suppose. We were there on a Thursday morning, just after 8 am. There were a small handful of patrons sitting inside. We waited alone at the counter, trying for more than five minutes to be acknowledged, to even make eye contact with any of the four people we saw working there before giving up and leaving. We won't stay where we don't feel welcome. Thankfully, however, we found a fantastic local coffee shop just down the road, with a great view, a long line, and friendly service worth the wait! read more

Terri, the owner and her boyfriend greater me and a co-worker at our car and yelled profanity then threatened us. The boyfriend got really mad and was screaming in a child like fashion. Terri too was acting absolutely inappropriate not only from a professional perspective but also given her many many years on this planet. Some people just don't learn expressing their emotions in inappropriate fashions will never get them what they want. They made claims I had reviewed them using some dummy profile on Yelp in order to say negative things about them but that was not the case. The only negative thing I have to say about them is they are wildly unprofessional and plainly mean people. I did like their coffee but I will say their staff caters to those they like and if someone is behind you in line they will prepare that person's drink and serve it to them while you're waiting. To me, that isn't appropriate. Starbucks is across the street you'll get way better service there. Hopefully, Starbucks decides they want a drive-through and they offer the landlord at the shopping center Terri is that enough money that she gets kicked out. read more

Just Java coffee is located at the end of a strip mall behind Walgreens. This coffee house offers you a nice alternative to the run of the mill Starbucks that have become oh so common these days. The thing that really caught my eye was the breakfast selection. It was perfect. Very nicely prepared breakfast sandwiches on freshly baked croissants as well as other breads to choose from. I ordered the egg and bacon on a croissant. I also had the choice between a side of a freshly cut banana or an hard boiled egg. I chose the egg. What can I say, the croissant was oh so crispy on the outside and delicious. The fact that the people working there were super nice was a major plus. I'm so lucky this is my neighborhood coffee shop! It's the best! Not only do they serve amazing coffee, they have great food also! Their homemade empanadas are the reason we go almost everyday! (My son's favorite) The service and the people there treat you like family, I love that it's tan by a family. I love spending my money there knowing it's going to them! The ambiance is cute coffee shop, and they have a patio! Everything you need and more! If you're in the Bermuda Dunes area you gotta check it out. Very affordable! (Great affordable açai bowls too!) I am sorry, I really wanted to like this place. Based off the other reviews and how packed this place was when we went I thought we were in for a treat, I was wrong. I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich because it had avocado on it, did not get achicado. My bf ordered a side of bacon...didn't get that. The sticky bun we ordered was stale. I figured at least the coffee would be good the place is called "just java" nope my cold brew tasted like cleaning products. I took two sips and dumped it. 34$ for 2 people and it was disappointing from all angles. Only thing I can say is the girl who took our order was very nice. They have a decent selection of drinks, so there's enough variety whether you're more into coffee, iced drinks, or something a little sweeter. The atmosphere was also nice and relaxed. It's the kind of place where you can grab something quickly or sit for a bit and enjoy your drink. The staff was friendly enough and getting my order was pretty straightforward. Nothing felt complicated or like I had to wait forever. Overall, I'd say Just Java is a solid coffee spot. This is one of my favorite coffee shops. Close to my home and close to work. I visit them a couple times a week. Almost all the employees know my order and always wish me a great day at work. The owners actually are in the shop almost every day too. Its wonderful to know we are supporting a local independent business and the owners are still involved in all day to day tasks. The coffee tastes great. They have some special drinks that places like Starbucks don't offer. Their food is also yummy! To all the people complaining about wrong drinks, bitter coffee, cold bagels, etc if you just let them know they will fix the issues or make you a new drink. As a former barista and a retail manager I can't stand when people leave unsatisfied without voicing their opinion. Most businesses WANT you to be happy and satisfied and not giving us a chance to fix a problem leaves the customer and the business unhappy. read more

I went here this morning for a coffee with my family and it was a lovely experience . They have this beautiful and inviting coffee wall that just speaks coffeeshop. I spoke to one of the workers there and she told me that they focus on European Coffee which is a strong bold taste. This coffee reminded me of the time I was in Italy. It tasted AMAZINGGG! They also have tasty treats and hand made empanadas which is a must have. Definitely will stop by here more often. They're a family owned coffeeshop and truly have some of the best quality. A friend and I were visiting the area for tennis and went for coffee at Starbucks upon arrival and were disappointed to find they only had take out cups. While there, we spotted this local independent coffee bar in the plaza across the way. The next day, and for the next few days we went to Just Java for breakfast and coffee. This place is super experienced in coffee making/esspresso pulling. I got a breve and it was delicious. It didnt have that bitter taste that most places do. My husband also got a breve and we both got sandwiches. All together 37 something...not bad for a coffee date. Also well worth it, the bagel my sandwich was on was so fresh tasting, great texture. I always take my coffee at Java coffee when i am in the area even there chain coffee store across the street but the friendly staff makes the difference the coffee tastes very good there serve bagels and it's always fresh they have some table out side and in the morning when i usually take my coffee the shade helps when it's summer, the store my needs some renovation but who cares if you get good coffee and good service read more

I always stop by here before going to work because it's close to my house. I'm happy to live by this cute local coffeeshop. Always greeted with a good morning and always get my items on point.
