You won't find them on Twitter or Facebook: Shorette's is a small garage right out of the 1960s, with prices to match. The dimly-lit "customer waiting area" is crammed with dust-covered displays of fan belts, replacement gas caps, and carburetor gasket kits. The owner/operator and his elderly father have run the place for ages, and there is an archetypal "back room" behind the counter where they hang out and play cards or do whatever old time garage guys do. I paid what I consider pre-War prices for a brake job, and business was brisk when I stopped by.
