Vestal CDJR has a horrible service department. I purchased a 2014 Jeep Compass in November 2020…read more The service department wrecked the front end on the day I was to take delivery. The service technician neglected to properly close the hood before he test drove it to make sure it was OK for delivery. It flipped up while he was driving it and damaged the hood and both front quarter panels. I ended up waiting until the end of January 2021 to take delivery. My salesman took care of it but I never heard from anyone else at the dealership during this whole time. Not the dealership manager, not a single other person contacted me to apologize. I never got any kind of compensation or free oil changes for being inconvenienced for nearly 2 1/2 months. Lame. The last time I dealt with the repair department, the service writer Gail Reddy tried to sell me 4 cheap-ass Kelly tires for $1100 because mine were worn. I got 4 high-quality Falcon ATs from my mechanic for $150 less installed and it included a NY State inspection. She also claimed I needed a new axle seal for $300. My mechanic inspected the vehicle and found no indication that it needed replacement. So she tried to scam me out of an extra $450. The service department is a nightmare to deal with. You have to call and leave a message and then they get back to you to set up a time. Only they never do. I always end up calling my salesman who gives me a bullshit story about how all the service calls are routed to the Title Department. Apparently this is something that has been going on for months because I had to deal with the service department twice within a year and got the same story from him. I love my Jeep in spite of all of this but I will never buy a Jeep from Vestal CDJR and I will never deal with their service department. Avoid Vestal CDJR at all costs.

My Jeep Gladiator Mojave a $59,000 truck has been in service now for the last 3 weeks. I got an engine light and read the codes. It had 7 codes including multiple misfires , heater sensor, and 02 sensors. It took them a week to tow my vehicle.(Used a tow truck lifting it from the rear). The tow company would be there between 9-11 and they showed up at 5:30 pm after 10 phone calls and missed day at work. Vestal jeep took a week to put it on a machine and replace 1 02 sensor. This of course did not work. They put it on a machine again trying to charge me again $170 for diagnostic to say that its the other 02 sensor and it will be another week. Again 5 phone call to them to get this information.(THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE). Jeep Corporate says they will escalate the Warrantee claim now and step in. This is the second time they said they were going to escalate the case. I have had 5 Jeeps in the last 16 years. There will not be another. Arrogant and incompetent. I have had to rent a car now 3 weeks. AVOID VESTAL JEEP.

Needed a new battery and alternator. After 6 months of owning the rack and pinion, power steering pump had to be changed, new exhaust system, valve cover gaskets, brakes/rotors, new oil pan, tie rods and alignment. I've sunk way too much into this car. It clunks now and am being told the sway bar links are shot. I'm on my second year of having this car and have literally replaced and fixed everything. I have every receipt of work done. If I could give a zero review I would. Guys a crook not sure who inspected the car but threat person should be fired.

I test drove multiple cars, all very nice, finding one at last that spoke to me. The owner, Sinan, and staff were very accommodating and supportive of this process. Binghamton Auto Exchange is overflowing with quality, pre-owned luxury cars, as they claim. Very impressive stock at good prices. The owner is choosy about what he brings in for sale, finding only high quality and something special in each vehicle. He tells me "I only bring in what I would drive myself." Sinan and Elizabeth made the buying experience so pleasant (and fun) that I almost hated to drive away! And Nick, from the on-site garage, is not only good at what he does, but helpful to talk with in his suggestions on routine maintenance. You won't find any stuffy, high-pressure salespeople here...in fact, no salesmen at all. You find a car on the website or lot ... the owner is on premises for direction if you wish ... the staff is professional and friendly. Very relaxed, yet easy to do business with. This is not the average 'used car dealer' by any means. My first purchase was over 20 years ago from the same place and guy! ... probably won't be my last. ~ Tony

This is a small used car dealer/repair shop in vestal NY. They have maybe 25 cars on the lot,…read moremostly 3-5 years old. Their webpage was up to date and spot on with the photos, descriptions and the asking prices were the same as the prices given in person. The best part of it was their site was up to date with their stock, a big problem for most of the car dealers I have dealt with over the years. Richard (son of Carlo, who I also met briefly) was very thorough in his presentation of the car, both in it's history, all the work they did to it to ready it for sale (he showed me the invoices!) I am a licensed auto appraiser, and as an occupational hazard I pick out flaws in any cars fit and finish. Richard was telling them to me even before I pointed them out. I've never had a dealer be so honest and up front about a vehicle they were trying to sell. He allowed my wife and I to take a lengthy test drive...by ourselves...so we could put the car through it's paces. He even recommended a place we could each lunch, as we were not from the area. I am an educated buyer, I knew exactly what I wanted and what a fair price would be. The actual negotiation was easy, I made a fair offer and he accepted it. No BS, no tricks, nothing other than "that's fair, I can do that" I've bought a ton of cars in my life, both new and used. This was by far the best purchase experience that I have ever had. I've had the car for just about a month now, had zero issues with it and I could not be happier with the experience. The next time I go shopping, they will be first on my list.

I recently went through a very stressful situation where my EV6 ended up non-drivable due to a warranty-related issue. I was effectively stranded with no way to get to my vehicle or to the loaner that was already set aside for me. It was one of those situations where you feel completely stuck and unsure how you're going to get back to your normal life. The GM and Service Manager stepped in personally, listened to what was happening, and took ownership of the situation. They didn't make excuses, they didn't pass me around, and they didn't leave me waiting endlessly. They got directly involved -- communicating with the right people, coordinating transportation, and making sure I had access to a vehicle again as soon as possible. They handled everything professionally, calmly, and with actual care for what I was dealing with. They kept in contact, followed through on what they said, and made sure things happened same day so I wasn't stuck any longer. Any dealership can do business when things are easy. What really matters is how a dealership responds when something goes wrong -- and this team showed integrity, empathy, and real leadership. I genuinely appreciate the support I received from Matthews Kia Vestal. They stepped up when it mattered most, and they earned my respect and trust. Thank you.
