I love supporting small businesses like this. I have went by this place for years, and now I have purchased from here. I got my mom a gift certificate for her birthday. They have fancy gift certificates. When I bought the gift certificate, one of the employees gave me a tip for chip cards that don't work and her tip worked! My mom liked this place, so that makes me happy. She found stuff to get with her gift certificate. May this place continue to make money and please customers! read more

This is a really nice second hand store. It's more for business work styles. But they do also carry jeans as well. It's just a more specific womens only second hand place. All the clothes are in very good condition. Nice brands, and styles. Like I said, more a business fashion. read more

Great owners. Nice selection - I have purchased dresses, separates & accessories. Good value - your $ goes a long way

Love this place! Great deals on all items and new items, good selection. Only consignment I've found with decent prices!

This is, hands down, my "go-to" consignment boutique in Austin! The selection, brands, and sizing options are crazy good and the owner is a breath of fresh air! A must if you're a clothing thrifter! read more

Always find designer clothes for an amazingly low price! Love this consignment store!

Such a cute and well organized shop! Be sure to check the sale colors! The sale rack is $1.99!!!!!

This is my favorite resale! I've been a loyal customer for 36 years. I'm so pleased that they're still open. They have a great selection of styles and sizes. Everything is clean and in good shape. The owner is friendly and being very careful to keep customers safe. Looking for a great outfit at a fantastic price? This is the place to shop! read more

Just Between Us Consignment - JBU owner, Toni! - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Austin, Texas

My absolute favorite consignment store. I built my wardrobe at this amazing little shop. They have all kinds of great clothes- casual, business, dresses, shoes. I always walked out with tons of great finds. I've since moved to another city and miss this little gem. Whenever I'm back in town, I make a special trip to this store to re-stock on clothing. They are simply the best!! read more

I love this store. Nice variety. Great prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Check it out!

Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this place is a treasure trove of high quality brand-name professional clothing. While I was a bit strapped for time (they close at 6), in the short time I was there, I spotted plenty of mainstream favorites such as Gap, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Express, Nordstroms, and White House / Black Market while also catching a few glimpses of gems from more specialty brands like Nanette Lepore, Chicos, and Coldwater Creek. Prices are amazing as well! I ended up spending about $10 per item after sales tax and discounts. My finds included a beautiful embroidered maxi skirt and rayon dress from Coldwater Creek, stylish work or play dress from Moda International, and (my favorite) a gorgeous strappy boho hippy dress from Young Edwardian. The junior department is a little sparse, and the dress selection in that department is mostly limited to S-M. But for anyone 18-88 this is definitely a place worth checking out! read more

A long time browser of quality name brand thrift, this place has an enormous selection which is very well organized, clean and colorful! I think this is the best bargain in the city! Where else can you grab some Lululmon for under $20??? Follow on IG because the owner posts weekly deals in addition to curating "the look". read more

Don't you just LOVE THIS PLACE? Like the rest of the world, I'm self-quarantined, and knew that this store would have to be closed, but I got a call today from the owner because I have/HAD a consignment appointment a few weeks from now. She called to tell me (what I already knew) and assured me that she had no intent of closing down, but wanted me to know that my contract would be extended for as long as the store is closed. Nice to do business with someone that espouses good business protections for her clients. I spent 20 minutes chatting with her and couldn't believe how positive an attitude she has about rebounding. I hung up feeling better than I have in weeks. Thank you! I can't wait for you to reopen. read more

I love this store so much.. perfect place to go when in need of anything your looking for... believe me she has it and you come out buying more than you should.... read more

Gosh, I just love locally owned thrift shops! Everything here is in good quality. Staff is super friendly and prices are what you would expect from a thrift store. If I didn't love shopping so much I'd probably never buy anything new again! read more

I have been popping in here on and off now since 1991. It's always a treat to see what brands you can find at really reasonable prices. They have clothing that my 25yr daughter will wear and plus sizes that I can wear. We never seem to leave empty handed. read more

I stopped in earlier today, I'm not usually up this far North but I'm glad I happened by! This is the most affordable consignment store I've ever been in: unlike typical thrift stores, everything was organized and in good condition. The staff person at the register was super nice, they were having a great sale, and I scored a couple finds. read more

I grew up just a couple streets away, so I've gotta give this place some love. Just Between Us has been around as long as I have, so you know these ladies are doing something right. The selection is in-season clothing for women and juniors. There's plenty of Banana Republic, Anne Taylor/Loft, Gap, Target, and some boutique stuff thrown in. It'd be a good place to do some back-to-school or work wardrobe shopping. With few exceptions, everything is in good to excellent condition. My sister and I revisited today and walked away with four items between us. Prices are pretty reasonable for the selection/condition of the clothes - I don't think I saw anything in the store over $25. The only disappointing section of the store, for me, are the accessories. Some of the shoes are scuffed and the assortment of jewelry and purses could be a little more current. Still, well worth a stop for the clothing! What the other reviewer said about the sales is true. Check their website for sales dates. read more

I love this nifty little thrift shop -- and bonus points that it's close to home! They do lots of sales; seems like every time I go in there's a new sale going on, and I typically find some great deals. It's obviously smaller than, say, a Goodwill or Salvation Army, but I think the selection is slightly higher quality, and it's all arranged nicely (even if some of the racks might be a little close together & crowded -- I guess they just want to squeeze a lot in!) The saleslady is friendly and they have plenty of dressing rooms (although they're a bit small and don't have mirrors inside -- you need to step out to view the hallway mirror). Also, it's a little hard to see the sizes on the shoes/boots, and they're not arranged in any sort of size fashion -- just displayed on the tops of the racks and shelves, so it makes it harder to shop for footwear. Still, all in all, it's a cute little place and I generally find something good, so definitely worth the trip! read more

The staff/owner is so friendly snd helpful! Great way to spend my Saturday shopping this store! I will be back

Drove an hour to shop here. Purchased 3 items and then asked to borrow their restroom. Was told they don't have public facilities but sometimes their neighbors... (they're in a strip center). "But I bought from you", I replied. I was simply told "I'm sorry". I understand not allowing open access to anyone who walks through the door, but a paying customer?? Very disappointed in the hospitality and won't be returning. read more

BEST CONSIGNMENT in Austin! Brands offered are on point, superior quality, and seasonally appropriate. I felt the owner did a great job of creating a safe shopping experience and found both her pricing and uplifting attitude to be refreshing at a time when things are likely challenging for this small business. Went for stylish, affordable clothing but walked away with much more than that. This business is a gem in the land of consignment clothing. Don't miss it! read more

Love Just Between Us! Excellent resale clothing and customer service. The owner and staff are always super friendly and helpful and their COVID protocol is spot on. If you are a resale shopper, this is the place for you. Now is the perfect time to get a new look when school and workplaces are (partially) reopening. Love it! read more

I have always had luck at this store. It's clean and super well stocked with quality consignments. They do very well reselling my stuff. Toni is wonderful to work with. While it may be a little north of town, it is certainly worth the trip! read more

I made an appointment to sell clothes that no longer fit me. They were in excellent shape and still very usable. The women was rude. She indicated that she had too many clothes and it was too near the end of the season to be sell-able. This was the first appointment I could get. Her curt manner and rude assessment of my clothes ensure I will never shop there or try to do business with her in the future. Life is too short to deal with someone with no manners. read more

When you consign they take 60% of the consigned items!!!! Most resale stores either do 50/50 or 60% to consigner and 40% to business. And they want you to pay an addtional inventory fee of $2 per item they return to you. So if you don't sell 20 items then you have to pay them $40 for those 20 items. This is a scrupelous practice. It's unfair and underhanded. I will never buy or consign there again. And they take high items mostly and then say they are a reasonable store. They priced things much higher for high end items than on Ebay or Esty. Beware consigners. It's a rip off. read more

Love this store so much, I always find the cutest stuff and much less than most consignment stores I've been in., I hope you make it through this tough time! read more

As a buyer I will say that I have found a couple of nice items at a reasonable price. As a consignor, I have recently been disappointed in this shop's handling of consigned merchandise. The store was unable to account for 7 out of 15 items left with them to sell. They were not available to be picked up and they could not tell me if they had been stolen, lost or just misplaced. Their attitude is it is my fault and they have no responsibility for items once they are left to be consigned. So, just FYI for consignors. Hopefully you will have a better experience with this shop in this regard. read more

I have been a customer of Just Between Us for many years. I am especially pleased with the organization of the store. It's very easy to find items. The owner is amazing to deal with. It's always nice to hear that I have money from items I've consigned. More money than I would have received in a garage sale. Unsold clothes go to a women's shelter. A win in my book. read more

As a shopper: Pros: Friendly There are always 25% off 1 item coupons Sales can make some things ridiculously cheap (check their website) Especially good for dresses and items that you seldom wear and don't want to spend much on. Surprisingly good selection of men's shirts Cons: Smells like a consignment store Dressing rooms are small and dark Figuring out how clothes are sorted is not straight forward. As a consignor: Pros: Payment is in cash and if you don't come by for a few months they will total it up for you. Deadlines to pickup clothes are clearly stated and they are fine if you come by early. You can call to set up a consignment date Cons: Recently I've had trouble getting a consignment appointment. They seem to fill up for the season more quickly now. And try as I might I can never figure out what they will take and why. It's a crapshoot, but they usually take something. Finally, when I do pick up what hasn't sold at the store it can be quite a hunt to find my items and sometimes I've left things at the store because I just cannot find them. ----- Honestly, these ladies do a good job of running the shop. They are always polite and have a loyal customer base and the turnover of items seems reasonably quick. While a lot of the things in the shop aren't to my taste (think Chico's if you want to get a good idea of their inventory), I've gotten a few great pieces here at a total steal. read more

I walked in with brand new clothes and she turned me down even though the price tags were on them still and some I have never worn ever and are brand new. She didn't even let me book an appointment for them to be looked at. She was very rude and snotty and a complete bitch with a bad attitude. I would need recommend going there with that kind of customer service. read more

I've been going here for years and I'm thrilled the new owners took it over. The store has great merchandise and is organized in an intuitive way. Plus the people that work there are helpful and pleasant to deal with. I went in today and had a nice chat with the very charming owner and for $30 got 2 high end tops and 1 pair of better quality pants. Love! read more

Upon a second visit here, I'm starting to realize that the twice-monthly sales events have a cult following. Like, shoppers actually KNOW each other and I was being introduced among the various ladies who obviously enjoy a good deal on duds. What a way to build up a customer base! Also slightly unnerving if you're used to mostly anonymous thrift-store shopping. read more

This is THE best resale shop in all of Austin. I've been going here for many years, but in the last year or so when it was bought by new owners, it has been transformed into something really special. It is nicely organized, carries better quality items at amazing prices and the place smells good now, more like a new clothes store than a used clothes one. The owner even knows my name and always greets me when I walk in. When I was in today, the owner was crazy busy, but still had time to personally help me put together an outfit for an important occasion. She was honest about what looked good and recommended something from the clearance rack. Who does that? I just love her and this shop. I'll be back--probably next week! read more

I took both my daughters shopping here and we left with arms full of great buys. One of my daughters attends college in N Carolina and needed some warm clothing, we hit the jackpot! All types of coats, boots, sweaters and layering options. My younger daughter is more athletic and we found name brand shorts, tops, and even jeans that suited her taste. The owner was absolutely wonderful and helped us find everything we were looking for and then some. She also had a lot of fun jewelry that was definitely priced right! We will be back for sure! Can't wait to see her spring and summer selections! read more

I've been a long time patron of JBU and have enjoyed leaving with some great designer brand clothing at consignment prices but since it has been taken over by a new owner, the quality and options have diminished. I can't find the brands that I love seen they use to carry there like Ann Taylor, BCBG, Banana Republic, Crew. What I have noticed are outdated clothing and higher prices. I use to walk with a bunch of clothes in hand but these days, I've walked out at most, without a purchase. Sad, I use to love this place. read more

As someone who frequents thrift shops I was unimpressed. It was junky, overpriced and I didn't find any treasures. A lot of overpriced gap, forever21, talbot, etc. Cruise around the corner to the Salvation Army for a better selection and variety with designer labels tucked into every rack. read more
