Couldn't recommend J Martin Indoor Air Quality highly enough…read more Our air conditioning decided to give us trouble on the hottest day of the year. We reached out to J Martin and they were incredibly responsive, came out the same day, quickly diagnosed the issue and had our AC repaired and running properly again. When it's this hot, getting someone out quickly is one thing -- getting the problem diagnosed and fixed the same day is another. The entire experience was professional, efficient and straightforward from start to finish. Really appreciate the urgency and quality of service. We'll absolutely be using J Martin again for any future HVAC needs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the area.

My old condenser finally breathed its last breath. I had already repaired it a few times and the…read morelast repair only bought me a few more weeks. When the repair guy told me there was no warranty on the work because my AC was so old, I knew it was time to stop throwing money at it and replace the whole thing. I started calling around and getting quotes from several HVAC companies. Surprisingly, the pricing was all pretty similar. The big difference was the equipment. A lot of the companies were quoting brands I either hadn't heard of or didn't have much confidence in. Evolution was the only company I spoke with that was using American Standard and really stood behind the quality of the equipment they were installing. That ultimately made the decision for me. The entire process with Evolution was professional and easy. They showed up, got to work, and had the full installation completed in about 5 to 6 hours. I was expecting the house to be without AC most of the day, but they got everything done much faster than I expected. We've had the new system running and love it. The first thing we noticed was how QUIET it is. Our old condenser was so loud that you always knew when it kicked on. With the new one, I sometimes have to actually listen for it to make sure it's running. Replacing an entire AC system is not exactly something anyone gets excited about spending money on, but if I had to do it, I'm glad I went with Evolution. Good equipment, professional installation, and no games with the pricing. Very happy with the decision.

It's quieter, cooler, and more energy efficient. One insider tip if you poured concrete around your condenser pad and if it was larger that the new pad, you can ask to fill the opening with gravel. Kirk was FANTASTIC! Our unit is 20 years old, we have never really had regular maintenance on it. He showed up super early (they asked if that was okay, and YES thank you). Before he arrived they sent a text with his name and photo. I absolutely love this! That extra safety is so important. Kirk looked at our unit and asked some questions. He explained all they do with the "family plan" so we signed up. I am one of those that needs to be reminded of scheduled upkeep so this is perfect. He gave us the estimate before he started and I asked for a very rough estimate of a new unit (having no idea) so we decided to go with repair and hope for the best. The repair wasn't cheap but considering all the work that needed to be done as well as it being an older unit, I feel it was a very fair price. I think we did have the best with Kirk. He was able to repair our unit and give it some much needed TLC for our AC unit and furnace. He even installed our pre-purchased thermostat! Kirk was polite and considerate. He took time to answer all of our questions and ensured us that we could reach out with any questions, I believe him. Service people can often be rushed, there is a lot of work out there, but not Kirk. He didn't waste time either, I felt like he was in and out in no time at all. By the time he left we understood all that was done and what we need to do to get some additional service from our current unit. I could not be happier with the call I made this morning. I picked the right people to call!

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with my experience. We have been paying for a monthly…read moremembership that includes preventative maintenance, and our AC was just serviced by this company about two weeks ago. We were told everything looked good. Two weeks later, our AC completely stopped cooling during a heat wave. This was actually the first emergency no-cooling call I've had since signing up for the membership, and when I finally needed them, I was told they couldn't get anyone out until the following day. That was especially frustrating because there have been times when my scheduled maintenance appointments were canceled or rescheduled because technicians needed to handle emergency no-cooling calls. I completely understood that at the time because emergencies should take priority. So when I was the customer with the emergency and no AC during a heat wave, I expected that same level of priority. I ended up calling another local company, and they were able to come out the same day. The technician found that our dual capacitor was out of range and needed to be replaced. Once it was replaced, our AC was back up and running. What's most disappointing is that this is the type of issue I would expect preventative maintenance to potentially identify, especially when the system had been inspected only two weeks earlier. I understand that parts can fail unexpectedly, but given how soon this happened after our service, it makes me question how thorough that maintenance visit actually was. I do want to add that every technician we've dealt with from this company has been very nice and professional. My disappointment is not with the technicians personally, but with the overall value and reliability of the membership. We've continued paying monthly because we wanted the peace of mind of preventative maintenance and support when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, the first time we actually needed emergency service, we had to call and pay another company to diagnose and fix the problem.

An Incredible Company with an Incredible Heart…read more I can't say enough wonderful things about Sano Plumbing Heating AC and its owner, Patrick Kelley, a Marine veteran. They do excellent work--they're fast, professional, respectful, and fairly priced. And on top of all that, we discovered firsthand the extraordinary heart behind this company. My husband of nearly 50 years, Ron, a proud Marine veteran, is battling stage IV pancreatic cancer. When our air conditioning failed during the summer heat, our niece reached out to the Marine Corps League. They listened to our story, stepped up to help, and connected us with Patrick Kelley, the owner of Sano Plumbing Heating AC and a true example of Marine kindness. Without the Marine Corps League, our paths would never have crossed, and we will always be deeply grateful. Patrick personally came to our home, sat down with us, and explained how he could help. His kindness and extraordinary generosity went far above and beyond anything we could ever have expected. Then Noel and Roberto installed our new system in just one day. They were exceptional--efficient, diligent, compassionate, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire installation. They treated our home as though it were their own, worked quickly without ever sacrificing care or attention to detail, and left everything beautifully clean when they finished. We couldn't have asked for a better team. Service has always been part of our lives. Ron was honorably discharged from active duty in 1974 and, in 2012, joined Semper Fi #1 Memorial Honor Detail, an all-Marine, all-volunteer organization providing military honors for veterans at Riverside National Cemetery. I was raised by my father, Richard Taylor Bellis, a proud career Marine and Mustang who retired as a captain after 22 years of service. Ron and I have always believed that when someone needs help, you show up. This time, the Marine Corps League and Patrick showed up for us. Through the kindness of the Marine Corps League, Patrick, and everyone at Sano, we were given comfort, peace of mind, and one less thing to worry about during one of the hardest times of our lives. If you're looking for excellent work, fair pricing, integrity, and genuine care for customers and community, we wholeheartedly recommend Sano Plumbing Heating AC. The unit is amazing, and the level of service they provided was exceptional. The team was professional, gave us a great price, and also serviced our other AC while they were here. We knew it was about time to replace the upstairs unit too, but the timing just wasn't right. Fast forward to yesterday: the upstairs AC stopped blowing cold. I spent a rough night trying to sleep in the desert heat. This morning I called Air Mighty, and once again they took great care of my family. Michael came out and was extremely helpful. He was upfront about the service and everything he was doing. He confirmed what I already knew, it's time to replace the unit, but he got it working so it will hopefully get us through the next few months. The upstairs AC is now blowing colder than it has in months. I plan on replacing the unit in a few months and would not consider calling any company other than Air Mighty Air Conditioning. I truly appreciate this company and highly recommend them to anyone needing service or a replacement. The prices are fair, but more importantly, the people and the quality of their work are exceptional.

Manipulation, lies, unprofessional…read more We hired American Comfort Air to perform routine summer maintenance care on our seven-year-old HVAC unit. They were referred to us by the company who installed our HVAC but who no longer service residential customers as they've moved on to commercial businesses. The technician who came to our home was on time and was very friendly. I had scheduled the appt also to check the air duct to one of the rooms in our house, because the airflow there has been weak. After spending some time servicing the HVAC unit outside, the technician came into the house to check the airflow from room to room, commenting that we have "amazing" airflow and agreeing that one bedroom had minimal airflow. He goes up into the attic to check it out. Comes down and tells me that the duct system in our attic is "terrible" and it "looks like whoever did it didn't know what they were doing and slapped it together". He also told me that he saw that the duct going into the master bedroom in the corner of our house was in really bad shape, that there was a kink in the air duct that was making all the rooms in the house have weak airflow. He showed me the "kink", where the duct simply wraps around one of the load-bearing structures near a corner of our attic. I pointed out to him that he already checked that corner room and said the airflow was "amazing" and that one of the other rooms off that duct also had "amazing" airflow -- he got the room wrong. It was the middle room that had weak airflow. He laughed off his mistake, continued to tell me that all six air ducts would need to be replaced. I asked him why, when the airflow to the rest of the house was exceptional. He told me because "they're connected". Full transparency: We own/run our own construction business and I helped rebuild this house with my own hands, so I'm not an idiot. I know very well that you don't need to replace all ducts to repair one. Not sure if he would've said the same thing had he been speaking my husband. The technician went on to tell me that we also need to rebuild the box attached to our main furnace, that the prior company made a mistake building a cylinder unit above it, when it needed to be a square. I asked him how an extra inch of square-ness would improve the issue we were having with the one duct. He told me that the cylinder was insufficient and that it would ultimately kill our HVAC unit. The cylinder, I pointed out, was built that way because we have multiple plumbing pipes that criss-cross around the space above the furnace. He went on to describe how he would customize a new box to fit the space, which essentially mean he would be creating ... another type of cylinder because you simply can't put a square box in the space. It was nonsensical. I asked him three times to explain why the entire duct system needed to be removed to improve the one duct that was having issues and he kept trying to convince me that the materials used and the way they were installed seven years prior was "the worst" he's ever seen. That he and his boss (Ryan) go to classes "every month" and know more than the average HVAC technicians. They're "experts" and clearly the company that installed our system were not experts and didn't know what they were doing. He then proceeded to tell me that the "amazing" airflow we had in the house was *too much* airflow and that the new duct system would make it "perfect". The cost to replace the entire system was $5700. I contacted the original team who did our installation seven years prior. He confirmed that it was absolutely not necessary to replace the system that a simple fix on the one duct would be the right thing to do, and then told me he spoke with Ryan Hall, the owner of American Comfort Air, who admitted to him that "they don't do repairs, they only replace entire systems" even if it's not actually necessary. That his technician is "sales driven" and saw an opportunity to "expand their business" because they only work on "larger jobs". In other words, they were taking advantage of me, willing to remove and dispose of a perfectly good system just to make money for themselves -- all while trashing the reputation of another business that is sending referrals their way. I know these businesses are trying to make money. I know there's manipulation taking place all the time, to convince us there's a problem where there might not be one -- I'm smart enough to see through that -- but to trash the company that is sending customers your way is a whole other level of unprofessionalism, and for that, you don't get any respect from me. If I could give you zero stars, I would. You just lost a customer.

We ended up with an all new heat pump system that is quiet and really efficient (17.5 SEER2). We already anticipated need for a new system since every tech that came in last 5 years said it was on its last leg, before it finally died during an extreme heat warning. The installation crew arrived on time, were very respectful of our garage items (helped move bikes to backyard and even used cloths to cover from the sun!), never complained about the working conditions (hot garage and tight garden area for fan unit), and were informative about the process. They also left our property very clean and tidy upon job completion after a single (and very hot) day of installation. As a bonus, I was not expecting the excellent craftsmanship of the lovely stainless platform cover over the new plywood they cut-to-fit for the removal of the old/damaged platform/box deck, and they used duct-board and sealant to finally make the interior of the intake under the unit sealed from all the walls and dust generation that has been blown throughout the home since the 1970s. Could not be happier with the end product as well as the process from inspection/quote to system startup. I would recommend Air Blue HVAC to my mom, friends/family, and to you!
