Five or ten minutes after reaching out to Advantage Air on Yelp, a staff member from the company (Brenda) contacted me to follow-up and schedule an appointment. She was amazing! On the day of our appointment, the technician arrived on time. In fact, Brenda contacted me beforehand to advise that he was running ahead of schedule so he could be at our home 30 minutes earlier if we were available. We were ready for him so it worked out fine. The repair technician (Joe) arrived and introduced himself. Initially, I had a question about a message displayed on our thermostat, what it meant and if it had anything to do with our AC unit not operating. His response was perfect. He explained everything in Layman's Terms and I appreciated that very much. After inspecting our AC/Heating Unit, Joe determined there were three parts that required replacement; the contactor; the capacitor; and hard start kit. He had some of the parts with him but had to leave to retrieve other parts off-site. He left but promptly returned in about 20-30 minutes, installed the parts and tested everything. For context, during this period we had a newborn and significant personal obligations. When the visit occurred, the noise did not happen at that moment and no technician evaluation or adjustment was performed as a result. I later recorded the noise when it occurred and shared video evidence. Despite this, no diagnostic visit was offered. My review reflects both the unresolved issue and how it was ultimately handled. After posting this review, the business responded by disputing timelines and attributing the issue to unrelated work, but did not offer to inspect or resolve the ongoing airflow/pressure noise, despite video evidence. The attic cellulose work referenced was recommended by their team and performed by a contractor they referred. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Evolution Air in 2021. Since installation, the unit has intermittently made a loud "farting" or bubbling noise. I reported this issue within the first year. A technician came out, but unfortunately the noise did not occur during the visit, so nothing was adjusted or fixed. The problem has continued since then. After researching the issue myself, I found multiple discussions on Reddit indicating this is a known and common problem related to airflow or pressure adjustment, and that it is typically an easy fix for an experienced technician. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved years later. The only complaint or reservation I had was something to do with some positioning of how some pipe was run. It stuck out a bit more than I think it would have if they used a bit more pipe and put a few more bends in it. It's a relatively minor issue and doesn't affect the operation of the system, just some closet access stuff where I'm worried about someone bumping into it. We wound up hiring a 3rd party handyman to brace the pipe, to be a bit more on the safe side. Our experience with Greenwood was positive, with only the above, minor issue.
