City Fish Market has become my absolute go-to for fish and chips. It used to be Johnson Fish…read moreMarket, but this spot has taken the lead for consistency and quality. While it can be a little pricey at times, you get exactly what you pay for--freshness that most "fast" options can't touch. The real advantage here is the ability to kill two birds with one stone. I can grab a high-caliber prepared meal for lunch and pick up my raw seafood in the same trip. While I know spots like Apple Tree and A Dong Supermarket are good, they just don't carry the variety of seafood that I actually eat. City Fish Market fills that gap perfectly with a selection that meets my specific standards. Pro Tip: Call ahead for your order. The lunchtime line can get crazy, and you don't want to be caught waiting when you're just looking to get in and out.

Moist and delicious. My Shrimp was lightly battered seasoned well. Just like I remembered it to be. The Clam Chowder was lack luster. To me it seemed to be pre made from a bag. The broth was on the beige/tan in color. The concept to order cooked food whether it is to go or here you would get in line. Order and wait to be called by number. We opted to stay. Ample amount of seating. Friendly and helpful staff

The clam chowder was just as good, thick and loaded with flavor and ingredients in every bite. The grilled octopus with potatoes was a standout -- perfectly tender (not rubbery at all) and packed with flavor. Oysters were fresh, crisp, and just straight up delicious. For the main, the paella was -- rich, loaded with seafood (shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, clams), and cooked perfectly. Paired it with a light beer which helped cut through the richness and kept everything balanced. Service was on point and the ambiance made it a great overall experience. Definitely a spot I'd go back to.

They used to have "simply prepared" on the menu that was just the fish, with seasonings and complementary sides. That's gone from the menu. It was always perfectly prepared and complimentary to whatever fish you were having. Last night, that changed for me. I have noticed over my last few visits a change in the restaurant. At first, I thought it was just my tastes changing, but last night proved me wrong. I had the "North Atlantic Swordfish Saltimbooca". The description was "Proccuitto, mozzaella cheese, sage mascarpone, white polenta". Polenta is usually soft, with the fish on top. This was polenta soup, with the fish literally swimming in it. In addition, it was greasy. There was a lot of oil around the side. And on top of that, the mozzarella formed a rather nasty hard cheese coating on the fish that I removed to the side with my fork. It was one of the most unappetizing things I've had in a long time. The swordfish was completely lost; no flavor at all. After a few bites, I gave up on it. I also noticed that drinks have gotten smaller. I ordered a martini. It used to be quite generous (it is a $16 drink after all). The glass last night was much smaller, at the same price. The wine was good, but that was about it. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I should have gone with the Fish and Chips! Hard to mess that up.

They had a smoky flavor cuz they must have cooked them on the grill and they were addictive. You just wanted to gobble them up. Both the boils we tried were really good. Seafood was fresh. Snow crab was nice and sweet. Just a little hard to get out of the shell. Wish we had one of those pic like instruments. It would have made it easier than just the cracker. The mussels were really good and the shrimp were great with the sauce We both went with a Soho special which is their signature sauce and we did two scoops for the heat level. It was perfect. Just a little bit of heat. Not too spicy. I liked being able to try all the seafood in the feast boil, but I think my favorites were the snow crab, clams, mussels, and the shrimp so I might just go with those next time. Servers were friendly and although I didn't have a drink I heard they were strong.

Great little atmosphere they have going on. They also have happy hours during the week. We will definitely be back.
