Walked in to the waiting area and was excited because the restaurant was almost completely empty, so things would be quick. Unfortunately, the host said it would be 15 to 20 minutes because the kitchen was "messed up and having problems." We asked if we could be seated so we could order some drinks, but we were told no because there was someone else waiting to be seated before us. They said it would complicate things, so we left and went somewhere else. It really perplexes me how places have no understanding of customer service and customer satisfaction. If I was the host or manager, I would have encouraged a guest to sit so they would hopefully order some drinks while waiting, and then I would give them some free chips and salsa for the delay. That would make a good impression, but instead they lost an order, and probably a customer who won't be back. read more

I will say I actually have been coming here for a while to dine out with family, friends without any problems whatsoever but recently when I went in one day. I could sense the potents smell of smoke and I will say that I've never smoked in my life since the smell bothers me so much that when I was sitting I couldn't stand the smell so I just up, and left without a thought of going back. Had lunch here on a Wednesday. Huge venue with tons of seating but we were the only ones there between 12:00 and 12:45. My wife had the New England clam chowder and I had the fried oyster basket with sweet potato fries. The chowder was quite good. Fresh and creamy with a decent amount of clams. The fried oysters were heavily breaded. The breading turned them into a bunch of uniform little footballs. Didn't like them enough to even finish them. This place is in a complex with other stores. It's huge and has a fun family theme but for a Friday night it was completely dead. I ordered myself a scorpion bowl (don't judge folks), my husband got a sea hag beer and my daughter had a virgin pina colada she said taste like the Caribbean. I had to have a sip after that comment. It was pretty darn tasty. As was my scorpion bowl. The food was pretty delicious quite honestly. From there the service could have been a bit better. I feel we where forgotten about. I have visited this establishment twice now and both times I left completely satisfied. Each time, I had a seafood bag with crawfish with either lobster and crablegs or blue crab and shrimp. All seafood is cooked perfectly. My friend let me try her sausage and that was great as well. The drinks are perfect, especially the sangria and I just couldn't be happier! Went for a quick lunch at the crab catcher first impression of the restaurant was pretty positive, very spacious restaurant, very clean. They do a temperature check before sitting you down. The servers were very nice and polite. Started with the chicken wings appetizer choosed the Cajun season. I love the wings you have a choice of choosing it breaded or unbreaded, I got the unbreaded and came out crispy and toasty. For the main meal I got the combo B, with Cajun flavor (hot) wasn't that spicy like how I wanted it to be, the only down side is that it's way too salty for my liking. This food was amazing!!! I got cajun sauce mild and it was perfect for me. (I dont like really spicy food) My boyfriend got cajun hot and he said he wished he got X hot. Weird place. Located in an old chinese buffet restaurant the place has no ambiance. Seafood arrives in a big plastic bag and covered in butter. You need a garbage bag outfit to protect your clothes from the mess. Service told us after ordering that kitchen was short staffed and could be up to an hour for food. 4 of us in the party and the fried clams came out within 5 min. We had to watch 1 person eat while the rest of us waited. Then the salad that was ordered came last after the 3 steamed meals came out. Today was the second time I've been to this restaurant and I must say the food is delicious but their customer service needs a lot of work! The waitress Katie was nice but she made a lot of mistakes, for example she forgot to make our drinks, she messed up with a few of our orders so the food didn't come out on time, and when we were done she forgot to give us our card back. Other than that she was really nice, so it must've just been one of those days. Now my main problem is that my friend had found hair in her food! And it wasn't anyone's at the table. We let the manager know and she got really defensive and told us it wasn't anyone of theirs which I completely understand and things happen but with that being said it wasn't ours. She took the food back and then came back with the hair on a napkin and insured that it was my friends hair Bc it had a similar color. Although similar in color it had a completely different hair texture and curl pattern. Thankfully they gave her new food for the remainder that was left. But when I nicely tried to explain to the manager about how she came across to us she wasn't understanding and she was still very rude and tried to insist it was her hair! Tried this place again today , I've order my food to picked up instead of donning in. When I called a lady picked up the phone and said give me a minute waited for 4 mins called back after a continuous ringing the same lady picked up sounding a bit annoyed. It's a converted Chinese buffet. Still has the same owner. The server was very nice and did her best to take care of us. However she wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu. She also came back to the table to ask us what we ordered twice (write it down). They do not offer whole belly clams. Portions are very small. The raw oysters were a little on the WARM side. Pretty sure the fried oysters were frozen. They tasted more like Chinese food than anything creole. It looks like they are trying to launch a seafood restaurant, but falling pretty short. They also cover up outdated information on the menus with stickers and hand write the new information. I've always found that to be super tacky. Being a life long New Englander, I expect much better in a seafood place. There are plenty of better places to go in central CT if you want a proper seafood dinner. Today was the first time I went in and my husband and I typically go to Chosen one. when you first walk in you notice the decor and it is extremely clean. my husband ordered wings and Cajun fries for an appetizer and a lb of hot snow crab legs. Although old bay isn't an option as one of the dry run seasoning, our server accommodated his order to his liking. I got a bowl of clam chowder and the E combo which was a lobster tail, a 1/2 lb of shrimp and a 1/2 lb of snow crab legs which I ordered to be medium hot garlic butter seasoning. The wings were fried perfectly and their dipping sauces are very tasty. The fries were fried to perfection as well and they weren't salty or greasy. The only complaint that I have is the soup. When you go to a seafood redtuarant you expect a hearty homemade soup and my soup was like warm and watered almost like canned soup. It didn't spoil my meal but i would love to see a different recipe Put in place. The food came out at a decent time. The main course was to die for. The crab legs had a lot of meat. The bag was perfectly seasoned. Over all between the food, the service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant I was extremely impressed and didn't expect it. I order tiramisu for dessert and it was so moist and delicious. This is now my husband and I place to go for seafood dining. The best part about it is for everything we got we only spent $100. If you ask me we definitely got a bargain. it is a must to attend!
