We asked if we could be seated so we could order some drinks, but we were told no because there was someone else waiting to be seated before us. They said it would complicate things, so we left and went somewhere else. It really perplexes me how places have no understanding of customer service and customer satisfaction. If I was the host or manager, I would have encouraged a guest to sit so they would hopefully order some drinks while waiting, and then I would give them some free chips and salsa for the delay. That would make a good impression, but instead they lost an order, and probably a customer who won't be back.

All the sides worked so well together and it is one of the most well put together dishes I've had. I also tried the scallops. The ricotta gnocchi with the Marsala sauce is fantastic and the scallops are cooked perfectly as well. I've had much better in Canada. Theirs felt like a beef based gravy out on top of French fries, with pockets of cheese curds, which were the better part of the meal. The Quebecois poutine was better, with added ham & veggies to add some complexity. The downside of our visit came as we approached their closing hour of 2pm. The crew started cleaning up and vacuuming around us as we were still eating before close. I had a single cup of coffee, and when I asked for a refill, the waitress apologized and said they poured it out because it was getting close to closing time. Ironic, considering the amount of pro-coffee memorabilia around the restaurant. We hadn't even hit closing but pouring out the coffee while a table was still eating didn't cross anyone's mind. (Nor cleaning around us, passively encouraging us to leave.) The coffee wasn't removed from the bill in recognition that maybe they made a mistake. Overall.. eh. Mind you every time we go it's $180 or so not including tip. It's 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We always get their rocking nachos and sometimes fried calamari. Their food is good the majority of the time. There's been a few times there nacho's been stale but I noticed last time that the portion was way smaller. I noticed since it's 5 of us and I asked them about it and they admitted that they made the portion smaller due to whatever I don't even remember what their excuse was but whatever. My kids don't like any of their bbq menu or sauces they really don't like the smokiness or the taste. My son likes to order their steak frites which is $35. Usually there's 2 or 3 of us that have that. Lately though I've change my order to chicken alfredo which I really like. They're sauce is nice and thick and hot unlike some places I've been to. Anyways when we went there today HUNGRY and wanting to get some food they told me there's a cover charge of $15. I told them we were there to eat dinner and my bill was gonna be over $150 but they said it still applied. So I chose to leave and walked out. I could've paid the $15 but I was making a point. Why should I pay extra $15 cover charge when that $15 can go towards a waiter/waitress tip?It was annoying to know that we already there hungry and ready to sit down and eat and their charging an extra $15 like there was an event or something. There was nothing going on. Who knows, I feel maybe bcuz I'm Puerto Rican they wanted to charge me extra. For as long as I've gone there the owner never has acknowledged us as regular customers. I don't want to give them an extra $15. Everything is expensive everywhere we go. Gas, groceries, everything. I could've cooked at home but I decided to treat my family out to dinner and they ask me for a cover charge. I don't think so. So I walked out and went to Maggie McFly's and paid about $172 w/tip. So I'm writing this review to say that they weren't going to get an extra cent out of me. Another person probably would've just paid it but there's been plenty of times that customers just go there to line dance or play bingo an are just not ordering anything close to the amount of money I'm paying. They're probably getting a burger and a drink so for them to ask for a cover charge when there are 5 of us for dinner is ridiculous and greedy of them..
