Turkey wrap
Tim T.

Wife and I ordered 2 drinks and a turkey wrap for lunch while at the pool. The prickly pear margarita is very good as was the strawberry daiquiri, the turkey wrap was very good has just a little bit of spicy taste but not bad make the wrap better and the fries are awesome as well cell cooked very crispy. Just make sure you bring 2 credit cards with ya just those 3 items was $73 before tip.

Pina colada in a coconut, such a great idea!

We've eaten here twice when coming to the JW Marriott resort. Both times great food and drinks! Pricey but that's what you get for resorts and the servings sizes are HUGE so it's well worth it.

We came here for some lunch & everything turned out delicious! Thankfully they weren't too busy…read morebecause it's not a large restaurant. The feel of the restaurant is like a cafe that also offered some outdoor dining. We started off with the Caprese Salad which was delicious with just the right amount of pesto. Then we also had the buffalo wings that were cooked perfectly with the right amount of kick. We then finished off with the stone fired pizza with fresh Italian sausage, basil, leeks & ricotta cheese...OMG was it amazing! We had zero complaints from the service down to the food, everything was delish! Only complaint that I can think of is they don't take reservations therefore going for dinner could be a toss up with getting a table!

Humble Bistro stays in its lane - consistent, dependable, the kind of place you don't have to overthink. Last night, the table went in on a margarita pizza add ricotta, meatballs, caprese, and short rib pappardelle. And yeah, HB is consistent, but this round came back a little uneven. The pizza leaned too long in the oven, Forno bread punched hard with salt, and the caprese felt a bit "overproduced," like it was trying to impress instead of just being. Service was excellent! Best moment of the night came after dinner. I asked for a standard Italian digestif, no dice. Swung to a go-to dessert liqueur, also a no. I feigned disappointment, and the server, without missing a beat, informed me: "We're French, not Italian." Hmm.... See you next time, Humble Bistro, where we'll probably go in on another pizza, pappardelle, meatballs and the chicken parm.... OUI OUI!!

They are incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely make every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk in. Not only are their drinks consistently excellent, but they handle busy nights with an impressive level of calm and efficiency. Even when the bar is packed, they remember orders, keep a positive attitude, and make sure guests feel taken care of. That kind of service is rare. What really sets them apart is their personality and work ethic. They create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. You can tell they care about both the customers and the success of the business. Every time I visit, I see them going above and beyond, helping coworkers, keeping things organized, and maintaining a great vibe for everyone around them. Employees like this are a huge asset to any establishment, and in my opinion, they absolutely deserve recognition!

The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.

The first thing that stands out is the massive, beautifully maintained outdoor seating area. It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. This place delivers on every level, atmosphere, creativity, food, and service. I'll absolutely be making this a regular stop anytime I'm in Phoenix.

We asked if the fireplace could be turned off, and were told it was "just the pilot light" and that the heat was from outside air coming through. That explanation didn't really make sense, especially if it's an electric fireplace, and it left us wondering why the flue was open in the first place. Our server initially seemed a little annoyed when we brought it up, though he became friendlier as the evening went on. As for the food and drinks: the Gold Margarita tasted a bit cheap for the price. Once it arrived in the taller glass, it was clear the ratio leaned heavily toward mixer and sweetness rather than tequila, gran marnier, and fresh lime juice. It definitely didn't taste like fresh lime as advertised. On the other hand, my husband's espresso martini was absolutely fantastic. The standout dish was the filet special - rubbed in mustard and marinated for over 24 hours. It was excellent. The mashed potatoes were packed with flavor, and the jambalaya rice was tasty as well, though slightly cold. Dessert was an apple pie with the crust wrapped entirely around it, which we enjoyed. Overall, the meal itself had several highlights, but it was disappointing to make a reservation and end up at a table next to what felt like the entrance to Satan's lair.

This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

We almost always end up here for dinner, especially before heading over to the Improv right nearby. It's a great place to relax, grab a good meal, and start the night. It's almost always busy, which says a lot about how popular it is. My best tip is to add your name to the waitlist online before arriving -- it saves a lot of time. Once you're seated, there are so many menu options to choose from, plus a huge drink selection and tons of beers on tap. My go-to meal is the steak bowl, and it never disappoints. The flavor is absolutely perfect every time. I also love that it's on their under-700-calorie menu, which makes it a great option when I'm in contest prep and trying to stay on track. Even better, it's already in MyFitnessPal, so it's super easy when I'm tracking my macros. The only thing I'd mention is that because it's usually packed, the wait staff can be a little hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Overall though, it's still a solid spot for a good meal and drinks, especially if you're spending time at Desert Ridge.
